MY REVIEW: Awesome customer service. The management is great and very customer service driven. The place is clean, bathroom is clean. It could use a changing table though please! The park it outside so this makes Piccomolo great for kids' outings.
Gelato is fabulous. I've never been disappointed and their flavors change constantly! I would recommend though that they improve on their coffee. I've had one cappucino one time and one latte another time and they were both just honestly, not good! Maybe the workers need a lesson on the coffee machine? I'd recommend a coffee expert coming in to help them out with this. An "Italian" gelato joint should also have a great cup of coffee.
Other than the coffee issue it is fabulous and we can't wait to return.

MY REVIEW: The Best Gelato you'll find anywhere!! My Boyfriend and I love this place, we go about 2-3 times a week after dinner. Its even so delicious when its cold outside, its texture and creaminess is very similar to the gelato in Italy.. Highly recommend this place.. Staff is friendly and the decor is cool. Great place for anyone!!!

MY REVIEW: Love this place!!! Each time we get the large to go container with 4 ice cream selections. My husband and I are addicted. It is much lower in calories and fat than regular ice cream and tastes delicious. As for the other reviews who didn't like what they got......like ALL ice cream shops, get a sample first!!! They are happy to let you sample any flavor you want. Highly recommend Piccomolo.

MY REVIEW: The flavors really do pop. Strong but not chemically like some ice cream places. Very fresh tasting. Great value for the price. Nice staff and good clientel. The real downside is the gelato isn't as creamy or rich as some of the other gelato places. Still, that isn't enough to keep me from going there often.

MY REVIEW: We went there with high hopes. We were very excited to see a gelato place in the burbs. We were disappointed. Their "gelato" tasted more like frozen low-fat ice cream. Definitely, no where near the creaminess of gelateria's in Italy or in other parts of Houston. The flavours do not taster natural either. Oh well, we will continue to wait...

MY REVIEW: Simply delicious! Loved everything about it! Especially the different flavors of gelato that they have and the fact that is healthier. My 2 yr. old son is lactose intolerant, so this place is perfect for him.

MY REVIEW: Strong points--wonderful atmosphere, clean, great tastes, terrific service
Weak points--no complaints at all
My husband and I have been going to Piccomolo since it opened. We get by about once a week (more in summer--nothing beats the lemon ice when it's horridly hot out.0 The owners are there all the time and have gotten to know us as well as many of their customers. They have musicians coming by to play a lot (last night was a bluegrass trio, wonderful stuff!) and they encourage artists to show work. If you're in the mind to surf the internet with your gelatto, they have WiFi.
We occasionally hit the ice cream store or a soft-serve place but for the best, we go to Picomolo.

MY REVIEW: I like the decor of the shop and the "look" of the ice cream. There are flavors that have bold and eye-popping colors, inviting me for a taste. This place is near my home so I have been to it several times already and I'm sure will continue to frequent it. However, I find that I don't like their ice cream as much as M*arble Slab. I figured out why - there was a sign that said their ice cream is lower in fat and calories because they use fresh milk instead of heavy cream. So I guess that is the trade-off: healthier ice cream, but with some sacrifice in taste.

MY REVIEW: What happened to Piccomolo? We liked the place. We attempted to go there a couple weeks ago (5/19/07) and the place was dark and closed up. We really liked the different flavors and the reasonable price. Turned our friends on to the place too. Please reopen...we NEED this place in Pearland.

MY REVIEW: I love this place! Let's just jump to the points:
Pricing: Decent pricing, and different size cups give you different numbers of choices of flavors (e.g., 2 flavors for one size, 3 flavors for one size up, etc.)
Quality: I've tried gelato elsewhere in Downtown before (can't remember the name), but this place is tasty and wonderful.
- Smooth, consistent texture
- Not too sweet! It is so difficult too find frozen, "creamy" treats that are not overly sweet
- Very refreshing - I don't get that "drained out from eating ice cream" feeling here, perhaps because it is not extensively creamy or sweet
- Great variety of flavors, all pretty tasty, my favorite is the pistacio almond
Store/Staff:
- Very clean and fun
- Polite and helpful
- They never make you feel like they're trying to kick you out, even when they're closing, quite patient
Try this place! It is my absolute favorite frozen treats place!

MY REVIEW: Great ice cream - very rich. There is a very wide variety of flavors to try, some that I'm not exactly thrilled with - but the more adventurous seem to enjoy them while I stick with traditional chocolate. The interior is very comfortable and it's a great place to sit and enjoy good company while you eat. The staff is mostly high school/college age young people, but unlike some of their contemporaries this group seems to really understand customer service and being friendly and attentive.

MY REVIEW: My boyfriend took me here for a date one night and I had never tried gelato before...and I loved it. I'm a huge fan of the peanut butter gelato. I'm not a gelato expert, so I dont know how it holds up against other restaurants, but if you want a great place to go and have good gelato or a cute place to take the kids (tiny tables for the little ones) - Piccomolo is it.

MY REVIEW: cute place.nice interior. friendly staff. price is decent. I love gelato and itallian ice cream. however, I tried and tasted most of the flavors and I only like the raspberry lemonade and somewhat like the watermelon and kiwi. everything else wasn't too tasty. I'd be back just for the raspberry lemondae.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I were pleasantly surprised when we entered. The store is very clean and the service was exceptional. They offer a nice variety and great portions. Some reviewers here have compared the gelato to ice cream, when making their comments, but gelato is not ice cream and shouldn't be compared. Gelato is in a class by itself and Piccomolo does a fine job.

MY REVIEW: I gave this place several tries because it is convenient to where I work and go exploring for lunch. But, honestly, it just isn't that great a gelato. None of the flavors jump out at you. The gelato looks awfully pretty but just doesn't taste that spectacular.

MY REVIEW: They've got many of different flavors for different tastes and diets. They've got regular, sugarfree, and nonfat flavors. My husband and I especially enjoy rocky road, tiramisu, and pistachio. We always get the largest to-go tub and choose 4-5 flavors. Not only do they pack the tub full, but they pack it on ice too. They are always gracious with samples but beware of peak times because kids will try every single flavor before making a selection. One night after an evening movie, we arrived 10 minutes after closing. They were nice enough to help us and we left with our tub of late night dessert.

MY REVIEW: Strong Points: Cute patio. Cute decor. Nice staff.
Weak Points: This is not gelato. It's ice cream, and not even good ice cream. I ate there the other night and ended up just throwing mine (and my husband's) ice cream away. It was actually icey, like kind of frost bitten. I think people are caught up in the cuteness factor of the place (which I understand totally) but the ice cream (or gelato) is just not that great. I ended up just going to M*rble Slab.
Now please understand I eat ice cream almost everyday so I'm rather picky about my ice cream. If you're not that into ice cream (or gelato) then going just to hang out in a cute place and eating some ice cream while you're there may be just what you're looking for. Try it for yourself you may like it. I just didn't.

MY REVIEW: My husband, mother and I went to the store on Hwy. 6 in Sugar Land. We have been to Italy, where this is king. Have also eaten it @ the Bellagio, nothing beats Piccomolo!!! Had family visit from WV and they all agreed...it's the best. Pricy, but worth it!
Store is very clean, help, was knowledgable, and coffee varieties are good. Cozy sofa's and chairs and hand sanitizer for a quick clean up.

MY REVIEW: Brand new place opened up about a month or two ago, so the review is a little incomplete. There is plenty of choices on the menu to make everyone happy. The presentation of the gelato looks artsy with some ingredients sprinkled on top. The gelato may be a little pricy other than what Ice cream normally costs, but that doesnt stop me from going.
Staff is friendly and they give service with a smile. Piccomolo also offers coffee, which I have yet to try, the store kind of looks like a s*tarbucks with a Ice cream counter. The only downside is if you are to order it to go, there might be a little too much gelato packed in the cup so the lid might not stay on right...Just be prepared to have a napkin on standby. The turtle cheese cake is my favorite so far.
