Cafe Soleil (CLOSED)

 11910 Louetta Rd Houston TX

MY REVIEW: Sadly, the Vietnamese couple sold the place just recently to an Italian man who said is probably converting to a wine bar with authentic Italian foods.

MY REVIEW: I've been going here so much, they know me by my first name. When they see my truck drive up the parking lot, they've got my drink and sandwich ready. I always order my Large Mocha Freeze with my 2 grilled pork sandwich with extra jalepenos and extra soy sauce. And they know it. Now that's customer service.

The place is always busy, but somehow they always keep it spotless. I always test the cleanliness of a place by checking out their restrooms. Once again, Cafe Soleil's place is spotless with an exceptional restroom!

MY REVIEW: I heard a bunch of good stuff about this place. All of it was true. Beautiful, cozy ambiance. Nice furniture, cozy reading area, very much for coffee house junkies like me.

The sandwich was delicious. The staff suggested the almighty famous pork, and boy were they right. It was like nothing I've ever tasted in my whole life. We need another one in the galleria area.

Im definitely addicted now.

MY REVIEW: One of my favorite places to go for a quick fix of Vietnamese Sandwiches and Tapioca drinks. Not alot of good places in NW Suburbs of Houston, but this place rocks!

Very friendly customer service and extremely beautiful and modern decor. I highly recommend this place to all of Houston. I found out about them by reading the Dining Guide of the Houston Chronicle in May.

Definitely will be back.

MY REVIEW: The Vietnamese Grilled Pork Sandwich was the best I've ever had. I've tried others, but they don't compare at all. The ambiance was beautiful. The environment was very cozy and welcoming. The service was very friendly. The drinks were mixed well and tasted great. No complaints from us at all.

**** One of the CLEANEST and most IMMACULATE bathrooms I've ever visted******

MY REVIEW: Every thing you've read about this place is true. Especially the splendid Vietnamese Grilled Pork Sandwiches! Beautiful, cozy, inviting ambiance. Comfy couches, outside elegant furniture, great customer service, and reasonable prices. We'd love to come by for live music next week. I'd definitely recommend this mom-pop shop.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I absolutely love this place. It is an hour away from our house, so we don't get to go near as often as we'd like to. The Vietnamese Grilled Pork Sandwiches are the best I've ever had. We have tried to find a comparable grilled pork sandwich closer to home and none could be found. The atmosphere is relaxing and the owners are very friendly and helpful.

MY REVIEW: I came here with a few friends for drinks and sandwiches and had a blast. We sat outside, they had nice patio furniture. We ended up staying her for about 3 hours! The decor was beautiful, one of the nicest coffeehouses/cafe's I've been in. The drinks and Pork Sandwiches were the best....a must try.

MY REVIEW: The Vietnamese pork sandwhich was absolutely wonderful. I recommend adding provolone to it. The live music was also very entertaining and appropriate for the setting inside. I can't wait until I return to Houston so I can visit Cafe Soleil again!

MY REVIEW: I had the famous Vietnamese Grilled Pork Sandwich: PHENOMENAL. And unreasonably underpriced I may add.....so what did I do? I ate another one. My drink of choice was a strawberry banana smoothie with tapioca balls. Yum!

The ambiance was beautiful. Gorgeous. Music was played by local artists. Very Austin-ish. You all must try it. You're missing out if you don't.

We'll be baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

MY REVIEW: After viewing the myspace page and website a couple of weeks ago, my boyfriend and I finally got a chance during spring break to try Cafe Soleil. This place has a clean and relaxing environment. They have a great variety of beverages to choose from. I had the white chocolate mocha frappe and my boyfriend had the chai tea. Both were tasted wonderful. In addition to coffee, teas, slushies, they also have sandwiches and some deserts. We split one of their unique Vietnamese Pork sandwiches. It was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Cafe Soliel's atmosphere features a contemporary design that displays local artists paintings. They also have live music on Friday and Saturday night from local groups, too! I like this locally owned business better than some of those chain coffee places around here. This is definitely will be a place we visit again, and again! Go check it out!

MY REVIEW: I finally tried out the food after reading reviews and hearing all about it. I had the vietnamese pork sandwich and a strawberry banana smoothie with tapioca. Everything was GREAT! This is a must try place and I highly recommend the sandwich and freashly made smoothies. I was going to share the smoothie with my daughter when I got home, but before I knew it, it was gone! I have a new addiction and will probably be back in the next day or two.

MY REVIEW: We had a book club meeting at Cafe Soleil, brought a few bottles of wine, enjoyed the jazzy pianist, and had the divine, infamous Pork Sandwiches. What a blast to be had!

Looks like we'll be meeting here every month for our book club.

MY REVIEW: I thought it was too good to be true: all positive comments, nothing negative, so I gave it an honest try.

Now I know why everyone was ranting and raving about this place. It's quaint, fabulous sandwiches, great drinks (some a bit different), and the place was packed with people listening to the band.

The only bad thing (which I guess is good for the owners) is that there was no place to sit. My husband and I stood for a while sipping our smoothies and eating the reknown PORK SANDWICH (a must). But the owners (who were there and working the whole time) indicated that usually there are some seats for patrons to sit and relax. I wish there was a table for us, but nevertheless, we enjoyed our visit.

Bottom line: Ourexperience here was WONDERFUL. We'll definitely bring some friends next time and show support.

MY REVIEW: Wow, great sandwiches! I had the Vietnamese chicken sandwich and it was really great! They serve all sandwiches on a flaky French baguette. My husband had the American roast beef and he said it was really good also. There's not much there food-wise (sandwiches and desserts, that's it), so it's mainly a coffee shop. The atmosphere is really nice, sort of urban and sparsley furnished, with local art on the wall. Overall I really liked it.

MY REVIEW: Based upon the image of the restaurant, I was under the impression that this was an upscale restaurant. I was actually pleasantly wrong.

This is a cozy, neighborhood coffee shop with the most incredible, unusual, yet appetizing sandwiches I've ever tasted. I'd never imagined how "affordable" they were, just $2.89 each (try the Vietnamese Grilled Pork!!!)

Desserts were delicious and service was superb. This is now one of my favorite places. I'd highly recommend.
