MY REVIEW: 15 stars out of 10!
This place is great! First of all, do not sit down until you order at the front! The format is order, pay, then sit and enjoy. That could be why there are some saying that the service was slow.
The service is so FAST! I've been here at least 5 times (my gf loves it and we live close by so we have to go whenever we do go out to eat). The food is spicy. Not like regular spicy but for reals spicy so know your limits. They have great side sauces for you too at the table by the drinks.
Well off to pick up my lunch!

MY REVIEW: Love the atmosphere...very modern, clean and casual. Went during the week for lunch and thank goodness I didn't have to be anywhere urgent b/c it literally took 25 min just for our order to be taken, which means we were standing that entire time. There was one person doing it. After we ordered it took a usual time for our food to come and it was hot and looked great (I've never eaten here before this, so I'm going by "virgin" eyes at this point). I took a bite and it nearly blew my mouth off. It was THAT hot. I love, love spicy and am half Mexican so I'm not sensitve to heat in food but this was too spicy to enjoy. My bf agreed. I sent it back and rather quickly I got a new plate and it was delicious. Loved the rice and naan. Flavor is great too. I don't know anything about Indian food but this is pretty good! Get there early if you want a seat...it gets packed. Def will go again. Oh and the menu does a great job of telling you what each item is. PS -When it was too spicy I ordered medium heat. Maybe it was an accident or maybe their medium is that spicy. I'm getting mild next time.

MY REVIEW: This is my first review of a restaurant. I am planning on having a staff luncheon there and stumbled on this site after trying to find their contact information.
I have been there about 5 times. I am ethnically Punjabi - North West Indian, where a number of the Mughlai/tandoori type of dishes found on the Indian side of the menu are traditionally made (and this is what I was raised eating).
When I first went there, I was not pleased, as the food is not authentically cooked. They seem to use the same butter masala gravy in several of the dishes. The naan could be fluffier. The chole could have a thicker gravy. There are a lot of things that one who knows authentic Punjabi food could point out, but I don't think thats very important here. The restaurant itself has many pluses, and few minuses if you go with an open mind.
1) Don't expect authenticity. Expect High quality, and fresh Indian Fast Food with a fusion twist.
2) The food is served fast, very fast. Everytime I have been there, I have received a VERY HOT (TEMPERATURE WISE) meal, fresh, and fast in 10 minutes or less. Thumbs up
3) Note some of the desserts are made there, some are packaged, so you may want to check that.
Reccomendations: Paneer Butter Masala if you looking for Vegetarian, or Chicken Butter Masala are EXCELLENT. The Vegetable Paneer fried rice is EXCELLENT. The corn soup is Excellent.
Reasonably priced, hot and fresh, absolutely no complaints (again, just don't expect authenticity - which anyone outside of the Punjabi region of India/Pakistan wouldn't probably know what to look for anyways).

MY REVIEW: I don't know squat about East Indian food, but I sure LOVE the Chicken Tikki Masala, medium heat! I discovered this place by accident and it's a lucky one for me. I suggested the restaurant and this dish to a classmate and she loved it too. Yes, I most certainly will be back again and again for the chicken tikki masala as well as the great service from the friendly staff.

MY REVIEW: I feel sorry fo people who land here looking for Indian Chinese. I have never had "chicken manchurian " presented as pieces of chopped chicken in an incredibly bland brown sauce ! The rice that it came along with was undercooked. The "masala noodles" were just passable. I intend to try other places, never going back.

MY REVIEW: I've visited Masala Wok once before (maybe six months ago), and had not been back till now. After eating there tonight I now remember why.
The food at masala wok is billed as fusion "Casual Indian with a Chinese twist", but in my opinion, the chef while trying to do too much fails at both satisfactory Indian or Chinese flavors. In a party of six, we ordered five different dishes and each one was a spectacular disappointment. Being Indian and having eaten at most of the Indian restuarants in Houston, I have to say that Masala Wok is definitely at the bottom of my list!

MY REVIEW: Good tasty food, reasonable prices, good portion size and decent service. Appetizers are worth trying but let the soups slide. A good mix of crowd and casual flair. Definitely worth a visit when you are looking for something out of the ordinary.

MY REVIEW: I love the chicken tikka masala. The food is always so tempting adn interesting that I adventurously tried the Chilly Chicken with chicken lollipos this time. Wow !!
My colleagues ordered for Roast chicken and Spinach Masala which looked equally sumptuous.
Good music and very courteous staff. Wanna quick meal ?...this is the place to be.... or atleast where I`ll be.A true value for money restaurant..... way to go guys !!

MY REVIEW: I was very underwhelmed. The set-up for Masala Wok, and there isn't anything inherently wrong with this, is that, like Pei Wei, the prep station is set up with all the prepped ingredients and squeeze bottles of different sauces. As the orders come in, the cook, working from trained memory, throws a little of this and a little of that into the wok to make the dish. Trained monkeys, though again, nothing wrong with that.
So, I had the chilli chicken to go. Food in its "to go" format is a good way to gauge how much food and how much filler you are getting. I would guess there was about a cup, cup and a half of sauce, some veggies and maybe half a chicken breast altogether and about 2 cups of rice for a little more than 6 buck. This is not good value for the money in my opinion.
Tastewise, nothing spectacular. Salty, heat from the chilli sauce. Not really impressive enough to order a second time.
You can spend a lot of money here and not get much value for your buck in my opinion.

MY REVIEW: The decor is nice and bright. Nice ambience. Very clean. Quick service. With the food, I think you have to try a couple of different things to figure out what you like. So far, I've tried the Shrimp Koliwada (excellent), Chicken Tikka (pretty good), and Chili Chicken (strictly ok). Soups are pretty good. If you like spicy, you're at the right place as they can make the stuff pretty spicy if you tell them.
It's nice that there's at least one Indian restaurant that's not the usual butter-chicken-palak-paneer typical restaurant. Being from Bombay, and seeing the wonderful innovative fusion concepts in food out there, it's refreshing to see something out of the ordinary in Houston. Now all we need is someone to open a desi-style grilled sandwich shop and a sizzlers place.

MY REVIEW: I'm a Vegetarian and I really like that there are several really delicious dishes for Vegetarians. The ambiance and decor is great and the music is cool. Despite the fact that I've only eaten their Indian dishes, I like that they have an eclectic menu. Lastly, the service is fast- which is a plus for their lunch crowd.

MY REVIEW: I think it's a great step for indian food. A plus point for halal eaters! It can't be compared. It has its own taste. Everything is excellent. My kids love 'chicken lolipop'. In short, we love it! we recommend it to EVERYONE we know. excellent. And every resturant has a bad day and a good day!

MY REVIEW: I've eaten at the majority of the Indian restaurants in Houston. I wanted to see how this restaurant stacked up to the others. With such low prices, I went in with lower expectations. The place is immaculately clean. You don't have to leave a tip, a plus. However, the food isn't as good as a dinner. I would recommend this establishment for lunch. My eating partner found the tikki masala watery and metal can tasting. He was disappointed with the chicken bites (few). I probably will not visit this place again.

MY REVIEW: The restaurant looks very good at first... bright yellow, red and orange walls. I went on a Saturday night and it was packed with Indians - dark, light, short, tall and a bunch of Pakistanis.
The food was at best - OK. I ordered the Chicken Manchurian (watery broth with a clump on white rice) and Chicken Lollilops (good). My friends ordered the Masala Wok dish and the American Chop=-Suey. Both were nothing to rave about. We walked out paying about $40 with drinks.
Would I go again - I might for the $5 appetizers - and soups. Dishes should be left to the better restaurants in town.

MY REVIEW: Drove all the way from North Houston only to get disappointed. ordered Manchurian chicken (chicken tasted like rubber, sauce was equally bad), paneer masala was ok but the rice along with it was dry. sweet corn soup was really sweet. I won't go back again. There are better restaurants for reasonable prices in houston.

MY REVIEW: The Ginger Masala was good. The wonton soup was different - a brown broth instead of clear with carrotts and cabbage in it - very good. Both were excellent. I didn't realize it was primarily Indian cuisine so this was a first.
If you like spicy - this is the place. I ordered mild and it was still spicy to me - edible, but spicy. Had to take breaks at first but after a while you get used to it. Definitely cleared out the sinuses.
The atmosephere is pleasant, clean and the wait staff very nice and helpful - eager to please.
Will definitely go back.

MY REVIEW: Strong points - the chicken tikka masala. hot...was hot enough to satisfy the spicy eater, and it was edible for the spice wimp of our group. The spinach masala paneer (saag paneer)was pretty darn tasty too.
The samosas were awesome and are best with the sauce of these two dishes. Wasnt sure WHAT that NEON GREEN sauce was for the samosas ...couldn't figure out what that was...nor did I want to.
Weak points- the chinese menu items. We had the American Chop Suey with Shrimp. It was unappetizing to the eye and resembled a color not found in nature. Also did not taste like any chop suey I had ever had.
STICK TO THE INDIAN ITEMS!!!
I picked this place because I was in the mood for chinese and my dining companion wanted indian food...thought this would be the perfect compromise. Maybe there are better chinese items on the menu, but I doubt it.
Note- There were mostly Indian and Pakistani patrons in there eating...so that was a clue that it was good. Also mostly middle eastern staff. Great! Note- There were NO Asians in there-working or eating.
Ambiance-This place will be making indian food for the masses and make it less of an exotic. GREAT!
Very sleek and nice colors.
THIS PLACE IS THE NOODLEISM OF INDIAN FOOD!!!
A nice blend of style and substance...

MY REVIEW: Wow. I expected Indian buffet but this is one of the fast, casual places. Attractive colors, nicely spaced out tables, service fast and organized. I agree with excited reviewer the food is delicious and prices are great. All white chicken meat, obviously fresh vegetables - very healthy. We tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, Blazing Noodles dishes and chicken lollipops. Medium heat is perfect for me. This seems to be a well-thought out concept. Very cute with the heat-colored plates, the chicken lollipops, and pricing with all veggie dishes the same, all chicken the same, all lamb... We will be back!

MY REVIEW: I give this one 4 stars for quality, speed and satisfaction of the palate, tummy and the eyes. The interior is tony and very casual. The people are eager to please. And FOOD - where do I start? There's nothing on the menu that doesn't excite me.
They have a well-priced starter menu ($5). We shared 3 samosas with mint chutney that tastes almost like chile, spicy chicken lollipops that'll make you throw rocks at your favorite chicken wings, and crispy kabobs that are lamb stuffed with cheese. Sauces were their own red chili sauce, a sweet chili sauce and tamarind chutney sauce... and a fourth I forget.
For entrees: Blazing Masala Noodles (w/Chicken) - one companion said similar to pad thai but the noodles are thin and the sauce was spicy delicious. My favorite wok entree was Roast Chilli Chicken, perfectly spiced chicken pieces and a lot of vegetables. The other entree was the chicken tikka masala, luscious and swimming in creamy tomato based sauce, yogurt and spices. All entrees come with a small-grained rice that I really like. Nan is made to order, soft, hot and ready for sopping up sauces. Watch other diners. You can tell how spicy they ordered their food by the color of the plate it's served on. I enjoy spicy food and the medium spicy was plenty for me.
I'm a great fan of Indian, Chinese, and Pakistani food and this was brand new to me. After dinner, I was pleasantly stuffed, sinuses cleared, and planning to bring friends to this new place. They have low carb and vegetarian dishes and all dishes come in mild, medium, or high heat levels.
