MY REVIEW: We almost dis not stop. I had heard horror stories of the awful smoke. We decided to stop and if the smoke was bad we would leave. What a pleasant surprise. This location is no smoking. We were thrilled. However put a banner outside saying no smoking. We almost did not go.
The food was good. Although $13 for a hamburger is outrageous. We will probably go again.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I have been going to Kilburn's for quite some time; however, after this last meal we wont be back. Not sure what is going on at this location but they have had horrible turnover in wait staff (completely rude girls) and the food doesnt come out right. If you are going to charge so much for a burger let's make sure its not burned! If you are going to charge that much for a tiny lil steak you might want to make sure it comes out the way the customer requested! Food has gone to the dogs!

MY REVIEW: This tavern is a great place to meet up with friends and have a few drinks. Their fish and chips are amazing. They always have good cover bands on the weekends. We love to sit on the patio and just relax after a long week at work. The cocktail waitress' are wonderful and always take care of you. There were two bartenders (a guy and girl) that werent that personable. They were quite rude and short when we had any questions. Other than the bartenders this place rocks.

MY REVIEW: I like the atmosphere at Kilburns and I also like that they are non-smoking. My girlfriends and I have gone there a few times and since they switched management it has gone down hill.
Last night was the final straw. We went there for "Ladies Night" where they offered several drink specials. We received our check and the server charged my friend $8.00 for a drink that was supposed to be $3.50. She stood there for about ten minutes and had to explain to the owner why she felt that this was not her error and how the restaurant should correct the bill. Finally she walked away and rejoined our group at the table. I went to the restroom and walked by the owner and he and a customer were making rude remarks about my friend. Also when they came to our table and advised us they did correct the bill to reflect the correct prices, they also let us know that the sever would be paying the difference out of her wages. I found this extremely unprofessional and I will not be returning.

MY REVIEW: The Tavern Burger is primo. I would advise doing some jaw stretching before tackling this big boy. Most people share, but I ate the whole dang thang and enjoyed ever minute of it. I would also recommend the Fish & Chips, very satisfying and more than any normal person could or should eat. But again, I cleaned my plate. Must be my up-brining. Good atmosphere also. Go and enjoy you want be disappointed.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I were extremely excited to visit this tavern, after the write up in the preview section of the chronicle, when we went in, the ambience was good, but the rancid smell of cigarette smoke was a complet turnoff, this is a Smokers paradise, we had to get up and leave, it issn't as if I don't frequent places that allow smoking, but given the small location, and obviously no smke evacuators, this was the worst I have ever experienced. I am sure the food is great, although I am not sure you could taste it over the smell of smoke. too bad, we had high hopes.

MY REVIEW: Saw Sheila Marshall last Friday night she was great and the drink prices were not bad. I had Blue Moon draft and it was cold and had the orange peel. My girlfriend had the rasberry martina and she loved great service even though the crowd was large. We did not order food except the chips and salsa and it was great. We will be back

MY REVIEW: Very good food and cold beer. My place away from home. I have tried almost everything on the menu. I haven't found anything I wouldn't order again. Bartenders and Cary the manger alway make you feel welcome. Great place!

MY REVIEW: We went on a Friday night for the first time. The place seems pretty new, the decor is nice - a lot of heavy wooden tables and columns. They have a very large drinks menu, which is nice because its rare to find a local bar that stocks decent quality wine (there's about 7 white wines, and similar number for red). I'm sick of going to places that serve only the dubious concoction of "house" white. The food was pretty decent, they serve Buffalo burgers - another hard to find menu item, especially at a bar in the 'burbs.
The live music was nice, a cross between rock/country, and the music was at a level that you could still talk above. There are several "British style" pubs in Houston that play deafening loud muzak.
Down points - 1 Ladies toilet, only 1 Games machine at the bar which is hard to get to if the bar is busy, our Waitress was a little slow.
Regardless of the above, we will be back.

MY REVIEW: The burger was a little expensive, but worth it. The fries were some of the best I have had anywhere. My wife had the Shepards Pie with green beans and they were top notch.
As other reviewers have said the prices are not cheap, however the quality of the food and the service make this a place you must visit.

MY REVIEW: OMG!! What a pleasant surprise. Went there to have some drinks w/ friends and had their food. Absolutely delicious! Everything! Had their nachos which were loaded, but not overwhelming. Had their quesadillas which big and thick and fresh - loved their dipping sauces, had their hamburger too - juicy and cooked a little pink inside which is how I asked for it! Tried to see if we could take our kids there during the day, but walked in and still felt like a bar so we couldn't... But definitely a place to eat!!!!

MY REVIEW: Food is great. Chili was very good and it was real Texas Red, no beans as it should be. Cold beer friendly stall except the manager is kind of stand offish. Waite staff is very friendly. No smoking inside is great. I don't have to go home smelling like smoke.

MY REVIEW: Definitely the BEST burger in town! The fries are fantastic and goes well with a cold shiner. Staff was attentive and friendly and the place had that warm welcoming feeling. Drink prices are fairly reasonable and the place was packed. The entertainment was fantastic. I will definitely recommend it!

MY REVIEW: The ambiance is wonderful. Not only that, but the service is great too. Even when it's jam packed, no place to sit, hardly a place to stand, the service is never slow -- and if it is, they apologize for it. They have a killer band out there (Obsolete August) almost every weekend / every other weekend and honestly, they make the bar.
Not only that, but they are not overpriced and they have the best burgers in town, truly. So, if you're looking for a very cozy bar with MAYBE a place to stand, this is it for you, and I can guarantee you will have a wonderful time.
