MY REVIEW: RJ Goodies food products are excellent. Some serious consideration should be given to the staff out front. What happened to the helpful older ladies and gentlemen??? These kids are not only disorganized, but laughing and carrying on among themselves (sorry, I hate that) and clearly don't want to be there. It took several minutes before anyone asked how they could help. Then the young woman was going to squish my decorated cookies in a paper bag. I was there this afternoon when a woman with two children came in -- she sat the baby's butt (clothed, but you know how baby's leak) right on the counter!!!!! I mentioned after they left that maybe the counter could be cleaned off. The flippant kid-staff said, "yeah, I'll clean it", and turned around to talk and laugh with the other kids in there. When he turned again and saw that I hadn't left, he asked if I needed help. I said "I'm just waiting to see how long it will take you to clean the counter". He said he would, but made no move to do so. I just left and said I'd not be coming back -- he said "okay". The older man in the kitchen saw me standing there, but never made a move to see what was up. I assume he was the manager, but don't know. Looks to me like RJ Goodies' service has really gone down and they don't care a hoot about their customers any more. Similar stuff last couple of times I'd been in.

MY REVIEW: RJ Goodies has great cakes, but.....I too have had customer service problems. Once they told me I was ordering "too far ahead" when I ask for a cake close to a holiday, another time, they were "booked up". They are also quite expensive. Go to K*lein's bakery in Tomball for a good deal and friendly people.

MY REVIEW: Awesome cakes and cookies. We order cakes for birthdays, baptisms, ect. I've never had a problem with customer service there, so I was surprised to see a couple complaints. However, it seems that most people who have a bad experience somewhere are quite often looking to have a bad experience so I wouldn't let that deter you from checking them out for your next cake.

MY REVIEW: All food products are extremely high caliber and the best around! The staff, however is another story. Counter help and wait staff, although courteous and friendly, seemed confused, disorganized and chaotic - if that can be fixed (and I'm sure it can), it would be truly an A+ establishment!

MY REVIEW: I heard of RJ Goodies through a friend who had tried their pastries at work. I purchased a carrot cake from the freezer for my MIL's birthday and WOW, was it great! I have gotten cakes for three birthdays since, including my children's birthdays. Their artwork is exceptional and their cakes are very moist! Their sandwiches are really good, too, for lunch. If I was to complain about anything, and I feel bad doing so because 99.9% of the things they do are perfect, is their coconut cream pies have cool whip on top instead of a meringue.

MY REVIEW: we had three birthdays and one party. I ordered all different cakes. I had not heard of JR Goodies and I can tell you I was not impressed by the business itself, the people that worked there--but the cakes were way beyond my expectations, all three of them. I will order my cakes from there and will soon visit for lunch. Everyone at the party raved over the cakes. Thank you and your staff, they are great!!

MY REVIEW: RJ Goodies has to be the best place i have ever been to. The people who work there are so thoughtful and greeting. I feel so welcome when i walk into Rj Goodies. There cakes are to die for and also all the other goodies they provide. The managers are so talented and are willing to do mostly anything you want. I have been going there for years and have never been disappointed. Ofcourse people make mistakes but RJ Goodies is good about correcting the mistakes they have made and trying to please the customer as most as they can. Also to add they serve lunch and the chicken salad is out of this world. If you haven't tried RJ goodies yet i recommend you go now. I love the place

MY REVIEW: In response to Former Customer..I can't believe the owner or the manager would handle a problem the way you have described..I've been going in the shop for years..know them well..They care about their customers and the products they make. When ever I order my cakes they read the order back to me to make sure it was taken correctly..I'm sure things can happen but..I still can't believe that would be her response. And also..Why are you writing a review on a situation you were not involved in..shouldn't your sister be making the comment?RJ Goodies does have an outstanding reputation and if you have been going for 12 years you know why!Very unfair review!!Always two sides to every story!

MY REVIEW: R.J. Goodies is great BECAUSE it is small! They have limited number of orders for cakes daily. Call early! We have had special occasion cakes for years there. The latest was a book cover they recreated on a cake for a Newbery author visit in February for our school! The author was so impressed and its picture was on her website later in the week! The cake decorators are amazing! Lunches are delicious: chicken salad is amazing...why go to Neiman's?

MY REVIEW: RJ has the BEST cakes I've ever tasted. Not only the taste, but the designs are spectacular & they will do just about any unique design you want. They out do themselves everytime I order one.

I'm very shocked to hear the 2 previous people complain about customer service. After going there for over 12 years, I have NEVER had a problem with them. They are always very curtious. They do get booked up a lot, that tells you they are the best in town! I don't think hiring a few more people will make a difference. I'm sure there is only so much the kitchen can put out in one day! I always make my reservations for a cake at least a month in advance just to be safe. And I gladly make the 30 mile drive from my house to RJ!

My friend in Brenham even uses them. They are worth it!

MY REVIEW: The cakes are good, have had better. But the customer service is lousy. The last time I went in and tried to order a cake they would not help me. The guy told me that they were "booked" up. I just needed simple sheet cake---sounds like they need to hire more people.

MY REVIEW: I have been a customer of R.J.'s for many years - even when they were on Theiss Mail Road. However, the owner has disappointed me so much that I will NEVER go there again. My sister ordered a half sheet cake for a very special occasion. She requested one-half chocolate and one-half white cake. She drove at least 15 miles to pick it up as R.J.'s has an outstanding reputation for consistently great food and bakery. When she cut into the cake it was all white. When she called to express her disapointment the owner said "What do you want me to do - fire her?" Not someone I want to do business with. Did not even offer an apology. I will pass this on to all my friends in women's club, bunco, church group, tennis, etc.

MY REVIEW: What a NEAT PLACE!!! Like a quaint small town bakery and they give out SAMPLE COOKIES! Ever heard of a "Potato Chip" cookie? Neither had I until today and they're GREAT!!!! I live and work really close, and really never knew what they were. I know now, and I think I have a new vice! Matter of fact, I may just have lunch there tomorrow...YUM!

MY REVIEW: Our family has ordered cakes, cookies, pies and brownies from this place for years. We love everything. Their cakes and buttercream icing are out of this world. And . . . their Texas Sheet Cake is a family favorite. Whenever there is a family occasion my sisters (who live across town) call and ask me to get a cake from RJ's. We love this place and feel honored to have it "in our backyard", so to speak!

MY REVIEW: They have the best Birthday cakes in the city of Houston. Everytime I get one for an event I am asked by everyone where it came from & how to get there. I do not live in the area but will continue to drive there for all my cakes. My 6 year old son has not had a birthday yet without an RJ Goodies cake. The decorations on the cakes are perfect with very little instruction. Also their iced sugar cookies are great.

MY REVIEW: We order ALL of our event cakes from RJ's! The WHITE CAKE with the BUTTERCREAM icing is their signature! And they do a great job matching our various themes every time! The artwork is top notch! AND they do CUPCAKES! Perfect for baby showers and toddler birthdays. The only thing is that often you MUST get your order in early if your event is around a major holiday (Easter, Christmas) or event in the area (graduation).

MY REVIEW: I was recently thrown a baby shower and the hostess got the cake from RJ Goodies. I had never even heard of it. Now I cannot wait until my next occiasion so I can order a cake. I am think of just inventing something to celebrate so we can get a cake from there. It was so moist and my husband loved it. Oh and you can believe this pregnant woman's sweet tooth was satisfied too.

MY REVIEW: I love getting together with a few friends and eatting here! We are always greeted with such a pleasent wait staff and have enjoyed everything we have ordered. I even come by on days my kids have school parties and pick up cookies (the kids in class ask for them by name...lol). I have ordered cakes for parties and all I have to say is it is what ever theme and they will surprise me with a wonderful design or I bring in a cup or plate or something that is the theme of the party and they copy it wonderfully! My friends and I really like how on cold days they have a fireplace going making it feel so homey. My favorite secret indulgence is to stop by and have a piece of texas sheet cake before I pick my kids up from school......lol.

MY REVIEW: We get all of our birthday cakes here. I've never had a better, more moist, more beautiful cake. They do such a fabulous job with little instruction. You have to give them 2 weeks advance notice, though, because they're busy! They also have the best iced sugar cookies. You have to either order them or get there early because they go quick! Their food is fine, nothing spectacular. Just regular sandwiches. The regular cookies are okay. Usually they taste slightly day old, but they have a great flavor. The brownies are amazing. I've never had the pies, but I've always wanted to try them. My absolute only problem with this place is the consistently bad service. I've only been there once when I didn't have to wait forever for my order to be taken. But I rarely actually "dine in" so that doesn't matter to me. The "goodies" are what I go for!

MY REVIEW: They have the BEST cakes and deserts! Exeryone gets their birthday cakes from RJ Goodies! Now that have moved to new location, they are not just cleaner, but have more of a variety of deserts and food. I get my hair done right next door and I allways go to RJ Goodies after I am done. RJ GOODIES IS THE BEST BAKERY AROUND!

MY REVIEW: I have ordered all my cakes from RJ Goodies for the past several years. Baptisms, baby showers, my children's birthdays and the most recent being my husband’s 40th birthday. Not only are they able to do exactly what I ask for as far as decorations, but my friends always check before coming to make sure I'm ordering from RJ Goodies. It has become a staple in our circle of friends.

MY REVIEW: RJ Goodies makes THE BEST cakes ever. My sister loved them so much she had them do her wedding cake. My friend who lives in Brenham requested that I pick up a cake for her at RJ Goodies to bring to a party she was having because there is no where else that had cakes as good. Every birthday party my nieces have - there's an RJ Goodies cake there! One of the best things about them is they have so many unique designs & make special designs at your request. Other than being a little expensive, they are excellent. Of course when you get a cake at the grocery store or W*almart & compare to RJ Goodies you realize..... the really DO get what you pay for.

MY REVIEW: Quality has gone downhill since new building on Stuebner Airline opened about 2 years ago. Food used to be great, but now seems stale and thrown together.

Their cakes used to be the best, but now they seem sickly-sweet, and again, quality seems less than it used to be.

It's a shame this happened - the menu greatly expanded when the new building opened. I was at that time excited about the new lunch options...but now I can honestly say that I no longer recommend RJ Goodies.

MY REVIEW: Not only does Goodies have the best bakery items in the Klein area, they also have a restaurant with yummy food. The chicken salad, baked beans and split pea soup are the best. But save room for dessert because that how they got their start and they know how to satisy your sweet tooth!
