MY REVIEW: The best dining experience I have had in Houston. The service was fantastic, The waiter accomodated every request from offering a sampler of the appetizers to the splitting of a bowl of seafood bisque for both of us to enjoy. I really found everything tasted superb. I thought the Red Snapper cerviche was the best I have had since Puerto Vallarta. If you want to make a great impression on that special someone, take them to Fernando's. But save room for the Tres Leche cake.

MY REVIEW: We can't stop talking about this place. Where else do you get "the man himself" coming out to your table? We like going there for birthdays, anniversaries, 'tough days at the office', and for any day ending in 'y'. His bar selection is great!
The warm steakhouse atmosphere is great. Every time we've taken friends there they've always been impressed. Fernando's is now my standard that I hold all other restaurants to which is unfortunate because no one can touch them.
Everything I'd tasted has been top notch. Get yourself down there today (unless it's Sunday or Monday, even Fernando needs a day off I guess).

MY REVIEW: After reading the other reviews, it is very difficult to write anything more that hasn't already been written.
Last night in town with our sons and their wives. As usual, Fernando escorted us to a lovely table, treated us like honored patrons, answered our question regarding the specials and just made the dining experience so much greater.
Looking for food you enjoy, but with latino accent and gourmet presentation? Give Fernando's a try. Guaranteed, you will not be disappointed.

MY REVIEW: This place is great! My fiance, sister, brother-in-law and I ate at Fernando's on my birthday. The restaurant was candle-lit, so could be very romantic. The food was amazing! I ate the shrimp scampi dish that had a huge shrimp with a wonderful garlic/butter sauce. We also had a bottle of chardonnay from Chile that was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and made the whole experience very fun! Since it was my birthday, we ordered the Tres Leches, which was incredible. Overall, it was one of the best restaurants in Sugar Land. I would definitely go back!

MY REVIEW: An absolutely wonderful dining experience! Brought a large group to Fernando's for dinner. The ambiance of this beautiful restaurant is extraordinary...very warm and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious and most creative. Some of our group, along with myself, had The Corvina, a Peruvian filet of fish and we just could not stop raving about it. It was dipped in batter, and then sauteed in lemon wine sauce and was incredibly light and melted in your mouth. The Carne Asada superb! And let us not forget that marvelous Tres Leches Cake. Fernando's top notch wait staff was most attentive and on top of everyone's needs. As always, Fernando, himself, was right there to make sure that every detail for this delightful evening was carried out.
This was my second visit to Fernando's and definitely will not be the last! Can't wait to bring friends from out of town. Thanks Fernando!

MY REVIEW: From the moment I walked in the door, I received a warm welcome by Fernando himself. After escorting me to the bar, he suggested a Pinot Noir that was fabulous. Our waiter John was very friendly, patient, and knowledgable. The atmosphere was warm and romantic with the perfect lighting. Service was excellent and the food was phenominal, especially the chocolate bread pudding. What a delightful evening! I look forward to my return. Thanks again Fernando!

MY REVIEW: My husband and I have been there 3 times in the last couple months after discovering Fernando's Latin Cuisine in Sugar Land. It has become our favorite restaurant in our hometown. It is easily the best food, as well as the most intimate & romantic atmosphere. Fernando moves around the restaurant visiting the patrons and makes them feel like family.

MY REVIEW: Dining at Fernando's is a wonderful experience starting with the food, the staff, the environment, the music, and yes even Fernando himself. He socializes with his dining guests like Wolfgang Puck at S*pago in Beverly Hills. We highly recommend you try Fernando's if your looking for great food and a relaxed evening with the perfect environment to visit with your friends, family or your significant other. So when you dine at Fernando's, give yourself plenty of time because you won't want to rush out of there.

MY REVIEW: We have been to Fernando's many times and we have recieved 5 star sevice every time. The food is out of this world. The mojitos are the best in town and I have tried them in many places, nothing beats Fernando's mojitos. One of his new dishes is the Paella, it is so delicious you have got to try it! We have taken our friends to eat with us and they truely loved it all, from the atmosphere, to the music, and especially the food. And let's not forget the the great service. Also, we had our Christmas Party there and it was a hit! Thanks Fernando! Please tell your staff they are the best!

MY REVIEW: Loved Fernando's old location (Los A*ndes), but his new location in Sugarland is even better. Great warm steakhouse type ambience with great food and service-I look forward to going back to try the thursday paella!

MY REVIEW: My husband says that since we've found Fernando's he can't seem to find a craving for anything else. The food, the entertainment, the sevice was awesome! It was my birthday and we brought another couple so we ordered 2 appetizer samplers. Fernando served each of us on our own tri-sectioned plate. The presentation was lovely and the tastes delightful. The egg battered fish was delicious, but the tres leches...Phenominal! We'll be back again and again.

MY REVIEW: Fernando's is a beautiful restaurant with a wonderful Latin ambience. Every dish I've tasted is delicious. The Paella was every bit as delicious as I had hoped it would be. The guitar music was so relaxing after the long day at the office and I thoroughly enjoyed the back up music as well.

MY REVIEW: I visited this place last february on a Saturday and there was some nice live romantic piano music, this time I went and there was no music, is a shame , that music was superb. Food was OK, but pricey, service was very good, but prices need to come down

MY REVIEW: I had lunch at Fernando’s today - what a delightful experience! The cozy, charming atmosphere was a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious and just the right amount. (I had the tropical chicken.) The wait staff was very professional, observant, and efficient in taking care of me. Price is very reasonable. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy an evening meal with friends and family here! Thank you Fernando!

MY REVIEW: We've been to this wonderful restaurant several times and always been very pleased with the food and service. On Feb 10, 2007, we returned to Fernando"s and again, the service was marvelous. We loved the chicken with the tropical sauce, and the white fish in garlic butter, both outstanding. Very nice wine selection and dessert was vey good too. There was this gentleman playing the piano with an outstanding and varied repertoire of latin and american music . The music was at such a nice moderate level tha you could talk with the people at your table without having to yell or raise your voice. We received a 5 star service from the waitstaff. My compliments to Fernando(the owner) for the music and the wonderful service from everybody. We were very pleased and of course, we will return.

MY REVIEW: My wife & I were driving around Sugarland last Saturday night looking for a place to eat, every restaurant had wait times of over an hour so we decided to try Fernando's just because it was near town square. What a pleasant surprise!
The service was incredible, the food was creative & delicious. They even had live music! If you want to have a great dinning experience without the chain, theme restaurant feel you must try Fernando's. We will be back!

MY REVIEW: We went there for early New Year's Eve celebration. I really enjoy their service, it is very good. I asked the waiter for water with little ice, when I finished the water, another waiter came and gave me a glass of water with two ice cubes without me asking first, it is verty thoughtful. When we finished our meal, we ordered only one dessert, but they divided the dessert into two plates, most restaurants will just give you the dessert with an extra fork, this shows they really put customer first. Tha's why I will definately recommend this restaurant to everyone.

MY REVIEW: This is an excellent restaurant with very good quality food and excellent service. The owner is always onsite and very attentive..often waiting tables himself. I love the chicken with the tropical sauce and the chicken with the crab on top. EXCELLENT!! One plus is the music on the weekends. This is a beautiful restaurant as well. Prices are extremely reasonable too.

MY REVIEW: I went there only once about 3 weeks ago, I've wated to try this place for a while, and it did not disappoint me. The atmosphere and the service are both really good, the wine is outstanding and the dessert is superb. For the entree, I'd say above average, although the portion is a bit small, for that price, I expect to get more. Overall, this is a restaurant I really like, worth to give it a try.

MY REVIEW: our first time there, it was outstanding. The service was excellent and the food great. The band was wonderful and there were about 6 couples dancing all the time. They are trying to stock their customers favorite wines and asking for recommendations. The wine cellar was very well stocked and I even got a tour of the kitchen and it was very clean. The banquet rooms are very nice also. It was so nice to have a new restaurant where you can eat and dance in Sugar Land. We have needed this place for a long time. Definately a must try!!

MY REVIEW: We've been wanting to try this place since it opened but finally made it there on my 25th birthday to celebrate in style. Where do I begin - the ambiance is superb and the service is the best I've ever seen! That's all great, but the food...wow...I don't know how to explain it. Let's just say that it's a meal you never want to end---ever have a dish that you just wish you could have over & over again, well anything you eat here will be that way! I couldn't decide between two chicken dishes so I was brought 1/2 of each...my personal favorite was the Tropical Chicken. My fiancé had Chicken y Mar & couldn't stop raving about it. For dessert he had the Tres Leches & I had the Chocolate Bread Pudding...we decided the bread pudding was the winner since it was made for chocolate lovers - rich & decadent. Our meal ended with their signature after dinner drink... just ask & you’ll find out! We quickly vowed that we would make a monthly visit to Fernando's...the food is too divine to pass on!
Added Bonus: Live Music & Dancing on Saturday’s...where else can you find service, fun, & food all in the same place?!

MY REVIEW: My first visit, very impressing. Decor is nice, our server was outstanding. Wine list is not bad, and in fact, they ask for your suggestions for additions, nice touch. We were brought fried plantains with a cilantrao, garlic, carrot and mayonanaise sauce. Also, very nice.
Then came the yuca crab cakes. After eating crab cakes in 100s of restaurants, both my wife and I agreed, these were the best we ever had. My wife had the whitefish in garlic, butter, wine sauce. Very good. I couldn't decide between the chicken marsala and the chicken with garlic, butter and wine sauce (same as my wife had with fish). So, the waiter suggested he would bring half a dish of each. The marsala was very good, better than most Italian restaurants, but the chicken with wine sauce was absolutely outstanding.
Possible desserts included cheesecake, tres leches, combination chocolate/vanilla tres leches, vanilla flan, and a dish they called bread pudding, but was actually pudding made from the pot liquor of the tres leches, cooked with bread and mandarin oranges. The choc/van tres leches was very good, but the flan was much heavier than most flan, good but not to my liking. We will be back again soon. I can't wait to try that so called bread pudding.
