MY REVIEW: After discovering that our dining choice tonight was closed, we came here(b4ueat) and read Jordan's review. I must say that we enjoyed our evening tremendously. Carlo acted as our host for the evening and did, indeed, serve us the parillada. I left very full and very satisfied. Our dish was full of ribs, chicken, sausage, black sausage and still a few more. We had a wonderful evening in a family style setting with a good meal. We'll still be able to return to sample more items later. Thank you, Maria's

MY REVIEW: Maria is so nice! I was actually surprised that this restaurant has been opened now for 8 months as of August 2005. This restaurant doesn't show any impressive decor as it is mostly a hole in a wall establishment. But there's plenty of tables and chairs for people who want to dine in.
Their pizza is delicious and had plentiful of stuffings. I tried the palmitos con salsa golf, which is an Argentine classic. It has heart of palms, pink sauce, ham, and of course, cheese. It was very different from what I've had before, but nevertheless good. Maria also recommended the Napolitana (Fresh Tomato & Mozarella) and the Special.
Also, in addition to the pizza they offer, there's pasta, salad, sandwiches, appetizers, and most important of them all... Argentinian food.
I had the beef empanada and it was delicious. I must say it is one of the best traditional empanadas I've had in Houston.
This place is between Richmond and Westheimer and also between Briarpark and Gessner. I definitely will be back and Maria told me something that isn't even in the menu... Thursdays are the parillada argentina nights -- when they serve steak, Argentinian style!
