MY REVIEW: Each time I enter this bakery, I feel immediately at home. The owners are always polite and willing to help, as well as the staff. I once arrived at the bakery one hour late and the owners were still there. They opened their doors for me so that I could get something to take home with me. Since that time, I have been recommending this bakery to almost everyone that I know. I guarantee that you will absolutely love the food.

MY REVIEW: The Owner is very friendly. Once I went there a little bit after their closing time, the owner still opened the door and welcomed me. I think their pastries are ok, but their croissants are so good. My favorite one is almond chocolate croissant. It's so good you just got to try it.

MY REVIEW: Wow, finally I have found some decent French Bread, Baquettes, French Rolls and most importantly, Crescents! I grew up in New Orleans so I know a thing or two about French bread. Wonderful shop, small, very friendly folks run it. I would not waste my time buying my baked bread any place else.

MY REVIEW: This is a great little bakery/cafe. I found out about them after going nuts over the baguettes at B*abin's. When I asked where they got them I was told about this bakery. I have been going there just about once a week for the last nine months to pick up baguettes and croissants ( the almond creme are the best) . I am originally from New Orleans and the french bread here is as good if not better than what is found back home. I now have all of my friends and family putting in their orders for my weekly visit. The staff is always friendly and smiling. I just LOVE this bakery!!!

MY REVIEW: I found out about French Riviera Bakery and Cafe through another restaurant that uses their baggette bread. I had become so enamoured with how the bread tasted I finally broke down and asked the manager where they bought it. He happily pointed me to the little bakery.

French Riviera has the best bagette French bread in Houston, hands down. I have only visited once and I had the Chicken Salad on bagette. It was delicious. I also had a large cup of regular coffee, which I must say as a non-coffee drinker, was also quite tasty. The staff was very nice and seemed to be really happy to be serving the customers. I would recommend French Riviera to anyone. Two thumbs up.

MY REVIEW: The French bread and rolls here are to die for! They are truly done the French way. Their egg salad is wonderful, as is their pate. The owners are wonderful people and always smiling. I would highly recommend this bakery/eatery.

MY REVIEW: Visited for the first time, lovely little bakery sandwich shop. The staff was very friendly and service was prompt with a smile.

I tried the tuna salad on croissant and tea. My sandwich was delightful and tea was refreshing. And indeed the croissants are perfectly light, flakey and buttery.

It was a little expensive for me, $7.79, for just a small sandwich and tea. But the service, quality of food and warm family like atmosphere made me not feel too bad for spending so much for a tuna sandwich & tea.

Anyone know of a place for great quiche?

MY REVIEW: I have been going to the French Riviera for over 10 years now. My "usual" is the chicken salad plate, cafe au lait, and the raspberry pinch cookies for desert. The crescents are perfection, and they make several different kinds daily. My favorites are the plain and the ohhhh so decadent chocolate almond cream crescent. The éclairs come in two different sizes, so you don't feel so guilty when ordering the small. And of course the other pastries are wonderful too! My favorite bread is the raisin walnut (tip: have it sliced, take it home and toast it with butter on a griddle pan on the stove...mmm yum! It's better than french toast!). All the girls on staff as very sweet, and the owners are great...very likable people! In all the years I have been going, I have had a taste of just about everything they offer, and everything is great, and always fresh. I usually go by myself on Saturday morning to have brunch and think, or read my latest book. It is a small place with tables inside and out, and there is always a steady stream of interesting people coming and going. I am a white/American and probably one of the few that actually come here. It's nice to sit and listen to all the different languages coming from all the close and cozy tables. On any given day you'll hear French, Spanish, Arabic, etc. The only complaint I have is sometimes it is sooo busy that I have to take my food to-go. There are maybe 8 tables inside and 6 outside, so that doesn't fit a lot of people. But it's better that way – I think. It's definitely not a "commercial" eatery. Thank goodness! If you’re near the galleria area, you should give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

MY REVIEW: This little cafe has the most delicious baked goods and bread. Not overly sweet and baked just right. The owners are very friendly and the staff is great. I reminds me of baked goods I have had in Germany and Austria but have been searching for here in the US.
