MY REVIEW: Ordered lunch to go and waited 20 minutes-watched staff do each others hair and one waiter start to laugh, and spit ice and water onto a plate of food that I watched another waiter pick up and carry to a table. When I asked about my order, no one seemd to know what to do. Finally someone said that it was probably sent out to a table. Took another 10 minutes to recover food and plate to go. Staff was incredibly slow and really did not care. Lunch was awful-bread was hard and inedible, caesar salad was old and brown. DO NOT BOTHER

MY REVIEW: Bladerunnernyc is absolutely right...the bread is was so hard it was inedible and the food it very overpriced for what you get. My companion had the salad trip ...chicken salad and fruit salad very good but tuna was oily and bitter. Will not return nor recommend it.

MY REVIEW: Chocolate Brownie is incredibly yummy..almost better than sex, but I'm married to an India and it's hard to compete with the Kama Sutra. You have to stop in even if it's only to pick up a chocolate brownie. The best I've ever had, and I've had a lot of them.

MY REVIEW: The bread was so hard I wondered why they bothered serving it? The cookie was good for desert, as was the salad, but the food was priced too high considering what you got, but all of the robots waiting on line didn't seem to mind, then again, they are use to it! I thought this place was supposed to be good!

MY REVIEW: I've been to the Corner Bakery twice and had great experiences with the food. I have to say it gets really crowded fast and the cashiers can be a bit befuddled, but the food and location overcompensates for that. Be sure to get a cookie!

MY REVIEW: When my friends and I first tried CB the line was out the door and we were worried we would not find a seat. However, we received our food promptly, found seats and were pleased with their food. The sandwiches and salads were great. Recently, they catered a large lunch and we had no problems. The food was great and it arrived on time. My friends and I go there for lunch at least once a week and will continue to enjoy their food and outdoor seating.

MY REVIEW: The cakes are wonderful, but as a lunch spot, it disappoints. Overpriced sandwiches poorly presented. I ordered a sandwich on toast and a small caesar salad. The sandwich toast was so hard, it cracked some of my dental work! No lie! The sandwich was parked IN the caesar salad, which had no dressing. That was served on the side -- the diner is supposed to toss his own.
Very slow service; line out the door; staff wandering the restaurant with bewildered looks on their faces.
Won't go back, in spite of the cinnamon spice cake!

MY REVIEW: I've waited a long time for my favorite "quick lunch" spot to make its way from Dallas. It didn't disappoint. The DC Chicken Salad (chicken, red onions, special mayonnaise, and currants) is still sublime, and the breakfast offerings look terrific, too. Welcome to Houston, CB!
