MY REVIEW: This place is a gem. I have been going there almost daily for over a year now. ALL ingredients are fresh-NOT frozen. Tacos are made to order...not steam table eggs here. Tortillas, menudo, barbacoa, chorizo, etc. are all made fresh on premises. I normally don't order chorizo because I get reflux when I eat it; but, not here! It is very tasty and no reflux. The barbacoa is very lean and delicious. Ditto on the carne guisada. Gloria, the manager, is a ray of sunshine. She makes you feel right at home and is super sweet. If you haven't done so yet, you gotta check it out and then you will become a regular, also!

MY REVIEW: I have been going here for about a year. I heard about it from a friend. 100% homemade breakfast tacos. Very authentic. Someone stated that they had a frozen potato in their taco??? They chop up the ingredients every morning (including potatoes), roll the flour tortillas and slice the meats. No frozen stuff here. I wish this place would move next to the S*tarbucks and ditch the Los C*ucos joint. The manager is super sweet. She makes you feel like you are at her home. Highly recommend the breakfast tacos. Never had anything else there.

MY REVIEW: I am always looking for the perfect breakfast tacos. This place is not really on my way into to work but I thought I would give it a try and if the breakfast tacos were worth it, then I would make a point stopping by more often. I got 1 taco of the chorizo and potatoes and 1 taco of eggs and bacon. The tortillas were soft and freshly made and the salsa verde was spicy hot but that is where the good points end. The potatoes were previously frozen verity from a bag and I had to search to find any chorizo. The eggs and bacon were decent but needed salt. The whole thing sat in my stomach like a brick for several hours. Overall it was just not a pleasant experience. This is not where to go for perfect breakfast tacos.

MY REVIEW: I ride past this place all of the time on my bike but it usually closed because they close at 2:00 pm.
Service was pretty quick and the staff was friendly. To be fair I didn't order the taquitos, instead I opted for the taco salad with chicken. It lists for $6.95 + $2.50 for a small portion of chicken that was nothing special. The salad comes on round taco chips like what you get from Frito Lay, chopped salad, peppers, a gob of yellow cheese and a big spoonful of sour cream. Taste was so so, but my salad and 1 can of diet coke came to $11 +, way way way overpriced for what I got, IMHO M*cDonalds S*outhwester salad is twice as good taste wise and comes with better ingredients.
I don't think I will go back. Maybe I will pickup some breakfast tacos for work, but that would be it.

MY REVIEW: Excellent Tex-Mex breakfast and lunch!! I regularly visit the FM 2920 location in Spring. I've lived in Houston since 1990 after moving from San Antonio and this is by far the best Mexican food I've found. Outstanding breakfast tacos and migas plus the best flour tortillas and refried beans I've EVER tasted! (Lo siento, mama!)

MY REVIEW: Wow, what a find. Great homemade breakfast tacos (chorizo and egg or potato the best) and lunch specials with EXCELLENT tortillas and salsa verde. Clean, bright, comfortable and welcoming. Try the "cafechatta", it's coffee with horchata. Good prices, a couple of blocks in from Bellaire Blvd., worth the search.

MY REVIEW: This was, for me, a wonderful find in Houston. I'm originally from Corpus Christi and I've had a hard time finding down-home TEX-MEX food in Houston.
Sunrise Taquitos is a hidden treasure near Bellaire and the Beltway. It's at the corner of a business park and you'll miss it if you blink, but it's got great food and great service.
It's family owned and operated and the flour tortillas are hand-made as well as the tamales. They're not the flat chewey tortillas most restaurants have, they're thick and fluffy like my mom and dad make.
The Carne Guisada is also Tex-Mex goodness with the traditional grayish gravy -NOT the red salsa gravy everywhere else in town.
It's a small place that feels homey and comfortable like you're eating at your mom's or uncle's house. It reminds me of my childhood when my own parents owned a tex-mex restaurant in a small Texas town many years ago.
The only con is that they close early -2:00pm But if that's the worst I can say about this place that's saying alot for me, because believe me, I can find a problem with almost every place I go.
Prices are typical -breakfast is served all day.
