MY REVIEW: First time. Good portion on the beef bowl and chicken katsu, but very slow service. I ordered ahead but they weren't ready when I came to pick it up much later. Rolls are a bit small, but not too pricey. They also serve tapioca, which is a definite plus!!

MY REVIEW: I work in the Methodist Hospital and we often order from Azumi. When they first opened they could do no wrong, but lately they have been lazy with the orders. We placed a $150 order and several of the dishes were combined without asking if this was okay and some things were even wrong. My favorite dish was the eel, but the last time I ordered it they gave me half of the regular serving and none of the steamed veggies that usually came with it. When I called about it they told me that they changed it and offered no apology. I will not soon order there again.

MY REVIEW: Azumi Sushi is nestled in the heart of the Texas Medical Center. Located on the first floor of a medical office building, this small restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere. Customers have easy access to the METRO-Rail.
I'm not one that enjoy's Sushi; however, Azumi Sushi has given me a new respect for the food. They offer various Suchi, Rolls, Bowls and party trays. I personally like the Chicken Katsu Bowl. It contains a large bowl of white rice, breaded chicken and a couple of lightly fried veggies. Bowl portions are generous.
Weak points include the customer service. When they first opened, everything was great. These days, you need to watch your order closely. Check to make sure it was filled correctly.
Calling in advance to place your order does not decrease the wait time. Recently, I placed an order, went to the restaurant, gave them my name, and waited for 20 minutes. The food sat on the counter the entire time I was there. They offered no apologies.
All in all, the food is great, the service is poor, the ambiance is nice.
Party trays require an advance notice of one hour. Credit card transactions are not allowed if the total falls below $5.00
