MY REVIEW: We've been going here for over 7 years, and love it!Owners, staff and everyone are really wonderful people who appreciate your business. We enjoy the enchiladas, special plates, like the Ryan's Special, and beef fajitas. Great margaritas! The other night, my husband was in a "totally Mexican food" mood, and he ordered the friend fish (empanizado--breaded)..wow, it was great!! Fresh, hot fried fish and french fries. Breakfast is great; I like scrambled eggs with only diced potatoes added,and rice and beans as side dishes. They gladly make it for me, and it's always fresh and good! El Jal is wonderfully dependable; great food and drinks, and great people!

MY REVIEW: Have you ever tried the breakfast? Very good chorizo, not greasy. For dinner, the fajitas are average, most dishes are too much food for me, but hubby loves the size. IMHO, the margaritas are STRONG! The chips and salsa are good. Overall a pretty good tex mex joint. Try it for breakfast.

MY REVIEW: Love the food, the drinks and the people. Mario and Michelle this Friday night were awesome and I love Rick and his karoake show on Saturday nights too. A great place - recommend it to all my friends.

MY REVIEW: My fiance and I walked right in on a friday night and were sat immediately. Both of us ordered margaritas and thought they were a bit soft. The queso however was DELICIOUS!!! Seriously I can not state enough how good the chips and queso were. I got mixed fajitas (doesnt come with sour cream) she got shrimp enchilladas. We thought both entrees were a bit bland, lacking spice and flavor. The charro beans that came with the fajita platter were, however, unique and very good. All in all i think we can get better quality food at other near-by mexican joints but we would come back again. Next time i think we will come back for only happy hour drinks and queso.

MY REVIEW: We love the fact we don't have to wait. Happy hour is till 7pm and they DO have the best Margs in town!! We eat there at least twice a week! My Husband loves the Migas in the morning and I am a Quesadillas-kinda gal! Their CHARRO Bean are just to die for!! The staff and owners are the nicest people and make us feel like family. We like the atmosphere and it is clean. We recommend it to all our friends. The big plus is the Cantina where people can smoke and they also have live entertainment. Fridays they sometimes have a singer but Every Saturday we go to The RICK ESTRADA Karaoke Show that is a nice early show from 7-11pm. and there is lotzs of talent. It is one big party!!

MY REVIEW: Very Authentic Mexican Food, Salsa is the best salsa ever, The Charro beans are the best beans ever. The Cheese -awe not to great (I think it is either powdered cheese or canned cheese). I love the Pollo Loco - It's similar to Mole but without the peanut butter taste. The fajitas need a bit more seasoning, kinda bland. Enchiladas need a bit more taste to them as well. I go there for the salsa as it's very addicting. I hope they read this and make some changes to the above items as it's such a nice resturant and to make some small improvements would make it so much better. The waitstaff is great, although if you do not speak spanish then the waitress and yourself have a hard time trying to get your order right. Overall Just go taste the Salsa!

MY REVIEW: This is a true mexican restaurant (no tex/mex). I was out in Humble for a baseball tournament and was able to enjoy there great breakfast tacos and lunch. The lunch was outstanding. Very fast and friendly service. They were able to sit our team in the back private area which was great for the kids. Thanks Carlos, your food is the best!! We will be back soon!!

MY REVIEW: Strong Points: friendly service, good food, fast delivery, great queso, awesome corn tortillas and grande margaritas

Weak Points: flour tortillas a pretty bland; I am used to mexican food in San Antonio, so here in Houston I have had to adjust but definately one of the best places to eat.

MY REVIEW: I've never had to wait in line and I'm not sure why!!! The food is very good, more than you can eat, and waitstaff is always friendly. It's the only restaurant we can got to in Humble and not have to wait for an hour on a weekend night.

MY REVIEW: This is homestyle Mexican food at it's best; always fresh and plentiful. They have great happy hour prices, even on Saturdays. Your best bet here is to go a little early on weekend nights, as the waitstaff is very good, but they handle quite a few people at once. Yet, we have NEVER had bad service, no matter what time of day or night we are here. Both salsas are homemade, and green one just about nuclear hot, at times,depending on how the fresh peppers are, that day--wow! We can feed our teen sons for a very reasonable amount of money, too. Good family atmosphere, and nice owners and waitstaff, very helpful and kind.

MY REVIEW: We had not been to in a while because the second time we were there the food was not as good as the first. The last time we went later in the evening about 8:30, and we were immediately sat and given menus. We sat for over 10 minutes and we never got a waiter. A wait person yelled across the room she would be there in a short time, but she went to the front to talk to the hostess, and forgot us. We got up and left. As we were leaving they were nice enough to tell us Thank You and come back! But we won't.

MY REVIEW: Waiters where nice and took the orders right the first time. Very friendly and the place was very traditional. I had both breakfest and dinner and both where fantastic! The breakfest was cheap and the quality of the meal was astonishing! for just the breakfest partion they gave me and my family alot!

The dinner portion was also astounding! the plate is full to the rim and for the price it was a great treat! Please try this place out you won't regret!

MY REVIEW: I enjoyed the service at the restaurant. Friendly greeting and servers. We ate off of the breakfast menu (served all day), as well as the lunch/dinner menu. The breakfast menu is a little pricey for the quantity that you get. We ended up having to order a few items in addition to the plates to fill ourselves as well as the children. We normally don't have to do that at some of the other places we've gone to for breakfast. Considering the price is almost the same as an I*HOP, I would expect more food. The quality was good though.

The Lunch/Dinner menu was priced well though. The quantity and quality were above average for the price. The food was served fast and was tastey. The Queso Flameado was not worth the price though. Maybe the price of cheese has doubled or something.
