MY REVIEW: The food here is always wonderful! Made when you order, not sitting around waiting for you. The portions are generous and delicious. I have tried their red fish(excellent), catfish( really good), platter(I ate for 3 meals), and GUMBO! The gumbo is to die for! I keep going back to try something new and have not been disappointed yet.

MY REVIEW: WOW! Everything we have had is so good. Crab balls, bisque, shrimp, catfish, shrimp salad and the stuffed mushrooms are fantastic. We always have a hard time deciding what to eat this time. Super friendly folks. They gave me a sample of the shrimp salad before I ordered it - unbelievably perfect. Much better than most of the commercial places around. Great service and great people.

MY REVIEW: My fist time...and I will be back. Visited on Friday at the advice of a co-worker, she recommends the Crab Bisque! My friends and I tried the Creamy Shrimp Salad (NEW), served on a platter (huge portion) of romaine lettuce with tomatoes and cucumbers; just right for summer days and nights. We took menus with us 'cause we're gonna try the Catfish next time. Friendly staff, quick service and easy to get to makes a winning combination.

MY REVIEW: My family and I have eaten here twice in the last two weeks, so we're quickly becoming regulars. The thing I love the most about this place is that they not only serve excellent fried entrees, but they also have awesome grilled specialties. The redfish pontchatrain and stuffed flounder are superb. Last night my family and I shared the stuffed mushrooms and the crab balls as appetizers. Both were fantastic. Also, the staff is friendly and they aim to please. This place beats anything in and around the Kemah Boardwalk. They have a sign that says they’ll soon be serving boiled crawfish. Count me in.

MY REVIEW: The stuffed broiled shrimp and the red fish ponchatrain are better than anything around. Everything on the menu is aboslutely outstanding from the coconut shrimp to the Jack Daniels pecan pie. We like eat here and then go to "Rock-the-Dock" at Kemah. That is simply because the food is better and the price is right. During crawfish season, the crawfish actually melt in your mouth. The owners bring out a live crawfish for the kids to see. The difference between this resterant and other resterants is that the owners and employees care about each and every customer as well as thier employees. It really will remind you of "Cheers". They know everyone by name. Sometimes, we like to order take out and pretend that we cooked.
P.S. I forgot to tell you the gumbo and the lobster bisque are award winning or they really should be.

MY REVIEW: Gone way downhill! The dill sauce on the salmon was curdled and no longer see the yummy cream / crab sauce for the grouper. Course I was a fan way back when you could actually buy fresh fish to take home and cook yourself and that of course is long gone to make way for the "oyster bar"

MY REVIEW: Great seafood at very reasonable prices...I usally hit it every other week for lunch and take the family at least twice a month for dinner.
Their fried catfish and shrimp are my favorite...until crawfish season starts. The crabcakes and stuffed shrimp are also great. The wife says all of the broiled items are good and loves the peel n eat shrimp. Don't forget Liz's hot Jack Daniels Chocolate Pecan Pie ala mode or the warm Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce.
Liz, Gail, Rick, Kenny and the gang are always helpful and there with a smile...but watch out for the fishing stories! ;-)
We are "regulars" what more can I say...

MY REVIEW: I joined three other friends there for lunch who have been raving about this place. I must say I am a believer! I had the bacon wrapped shrimp that was plump and delicious. The portions were large enough that we were able to sample each others orders. I thought S*udies had great catfish, but this place is so much better. For dessert you must try their Jack Daniel's Pecan Pie, it is to die for.
As an organizer of company events, I will certainly use them for catering purposes. Thank you Gail for telling me more about the services you offer.

MY REVIEW: Go to L*ong John Silvers instead. What more can I say, frozen fish, no flavor vegetables, and minute rice. Maybe if you order something fried, it palatable. Better yet, try to find something fried and wrapped in bacon.
First and last visit all at one time. Should have known there were "issues", Saturday night at dinner time, and hardly a customer in sight. Total disappointment.

MY REVIEW: I visit the area twice a year or so for business, and hadn't tried the restaurant since last summer, but thought I'd give it another shot after reading rave reviews. They've really expanded their menu since my last visit--lots of new broiled items and rich sauces. I can honestly say their crab bisque is the best I've ever had, ANYWHERE!
The atmosphere is still very friendly and the decor is interesting and inviting. These guys really know their stuff! I may have to make my visits more frequent, or put in for a relocation...=). I'll be back SOON!

MY REVIEW: Being a fairly new restaurant, these guys know how to win over customers with excellent service and backing it up with excellent food. Rick, Kenny and Liz have always been helpful with fresh catch selections and great desserts. Keep up the good work.

MY REVIEW: I was born in the MS Delta (Catfish Capital of the World) and was raised on catfish and hushpuppies. After 18 years of being sorely dissappointed by 90% of the offerings here in Texas (P*appadeaux's being the lone exception), I've finally found a place that KNOWS how to cook good catfish!!!
Market Seafood has the best in Texas... never "off flavor", fillets are THICK and crust is crispy. Hushpuppies are flavorful, though very small (which seems to be the norm outside of MS... come on guys, it's corn meal... make 'em BIGGER). A few more fries on the plate would make this one heck of a meal.
The Mahi Mahi was perfectly cooked and terrific too... again, bulk up the side dishes a little more.
This is now a weekly must!

MY REVIEW: Good quality, small, quiet and very inexpensive. Broiled salmon was cooked perfectly..and I am very picky. Staff has always been kind and helpful, Rick and Liz. It's not fancy, though seemed very clean. However, the menu is very, very small, and if you are a vegetarian, you might be want to try somewhere else. I recommend it.

MY REVIEW: I looked all over for a really good catfish place... this is it. It's quiet, friendly and the food is great. Really good hushpuppies. Really good desserts. The food comes quick, and hot. A great place to eat on a weekend afternoon.

MY REVIEW: Excellent food. Large portions. Their catfish and hushpuppies put S*udies to shame! Staff is always friendly. Don't fight the crowds in Kemah or at S*udies... patronize this local establishment. You won't regret it.

MY REVIEW: Very warm atmosphere, small but quaint. Attentive staff. Food was hot, cooked just right and reasonable. Highly recommend the fried catfish and shrimp. Not crowded, not noisy like Joe's C*rab Shack.

MY REVIEW: They had me from "hello". I eat out for most of my meals and Market Seafood will surely be at the top of my list. Both of the owners greeted me warmly, explained that they were a combination restaurant and seafood market, and made some recommendations from their menu. I chose the Fried Shrimp and the portion was quite large. I have since had most of the fried items on their menu and they are every bit as good as P*appadeaux's but at about half of the price. In fact, it is great to be able to eat locally in Clear Lake instead of having to drive all the way to Kemah and fight the crowds. The owners invited me to bring in my fishing photos to add to the large collection that is already on display from their patrons. Market Seafood Oyster Bar and Grill gets an A+ in my book.

MY REVIEW: If were not for the "buy one, get one free" coupon my husband and I used, it would have been disappointing. We both had the shrimp basket and the portions seemed awfully small for the $10 price. It seems they even skimped on the fries. We were able to polish off the entire meal and not feel "full". The ambience was a little lacking due to some construction going on, but looking at all the fishing photos on the walls was a pleasant way to pass the time. In summary, I'll go back if/when we get another coupon.

MY REVIEW: This is THE place to go in the Clear Lake area for fried seafood. I've had the catfish, shrimp, and coconut shrimp. All were fried to perfection. Great food, reasonable prices, and large portions -- a great combination.
