MY REVIEW: Great food - love the chicken salad sandwich and their chocolate chip bars. Friendly folks. Good prices - bigger sandwich than you get at S*ubway. I'll be back.

MY REVIEW: The food is fresh and homemade here. All the salads as in egg, chicken, tuna and potato are all homeade and tasty. Good value and the sandwiches are big!!! way more than the other sandwich shops and friendly service. I feel like family here and the help makes me comfy. I love their sweet tea and the place is quaint and small. And best of all they have veggie subs that are full of fresh veggies with roasted red peppers for the vegans...

MY REVIEW: I have been stopping into neptunes for 15 plus years. I usually get the foot long tuna very yummy. Anyway today I just wanted to get lunch and they had a 4.99 turkey special. Apparently if you are family of the people working there you get head of the line privelege. No big deal but I noticed as I had been standing in line and the lady just stepped in front of me. So it was I turn at the window. I ordered the turkey deal good deal. The nice blode lady making my sanwiche ask me if I wanted cheese and I said american. She makes a very good sandwich. I try to move on down the line but the family of the employee with her belly button showing are having a conversation about so and so. I wait patiently. Then I get my chips and tell the guy at the register turkey deal with a coke. He rings it up and it is $6.20 or so. I say I order the turkey deal $4.99. He said cheese is extra. I said oh I did not know and the disrespectful relative of one of the workers with tatoos up his arm says with a smartass punk tone(as if it were his business)the sign is up there. I have never read all the signs at Neptunes because there are lots. I pay. As i walk back to sit at the window and watch the world go by and enjoy my treat. I hear the cashier and the disrespectful tatooed relative of the girl showing her belly button to the world snickering behind my back and saying there is a sign her and here is your sign etc... I turn around and walk by the register and say assholes.I walk out the door and realize I will not enjoy another Neptunes sub again ever... Thanks to a misunderstanding about cheese ahh the power of cheese. I guess I will have to settle for S*ubway and park somewhere. For 15 years it was yummy Neptunes thanks. No one there knows who I am but I had eaten there many many many times. I did not even say a word whenever I did not get my bald monday discount three times over the years.

MY REVIEW: Everyone is very friendly with a smile. Always various fresh salads. A very old building but comfortable. Only complaint is I wish they would use real bacon bits rather then that fake stuff. We go often for a quick bring home lunch or dinner. Nothing is expensive either.

MY REVIEW: this is a great place. the special, what ever it is that day, is your best value. great tuna salad sub. can substitute a wrap for any sandwich. Lenny is a very nice guy, we're so glad they are open after Ike. Fast service, even at the busiest lunch time. call ahead for pick up and it's ready when you get there.

MY REVIEW: This place is great. The Beef sandwich and the Deluxe Italian are worth a trip from anywhere. I have two small children and the staff goes out of their way to make something no matter what is on the menu. They deliver locally so if yo tired of the normal stuff give them a call. Keep up the good work.

MY REVIEW: I have been eating a Neptune Subs since it opened in 1978. Over the years the food has remained consitantly good. The food is always fresh, flavorful and filling. In my opinion, there is no better sub sandwich shop. I eat there at least once a month minimum. Neptunes subs is the standard that I mesure all other sandwich shops too. Joe Ed B*ombers Subs in Arlington Texas is the only other sub shop that comes close to the quality of Neptunes.
There is only one Neptune Subs and it is worth eating at.

MY REVIEW: Neptune Subs is a legendary Seabrook treasure serving everything from salads to super subs that will fill the hungriest family member. They custom make your sandwich in front of you. Do not confuse them with S*ubway or other generic sandwich shops. When you ask for a key ingredient, they pile it as high as you want. You don't get a single pathetic slice of cheese, one thin pickle, or a miniscule meat portion, they put enough on to enjoy the flavor. You can take the food with you or order it to go, but the best is to relax and eat it there. Enjoy the friendly company of all the regulars and Vinny, the longtime owner.

MY REVIEW: Quality ingredients (Boar's Head meats, fresh lettuce and tomatoes) except for the most important part, the roll. It looks like a good roll but it turns out to be similar to a large hotdog bun. The interior is gummy, the exterior is soft. The bread is so wimpy that it falls apart as you eat. Also, they cut the roll all the way through so the innards fall out. No salt, pepper, or oregano left me with a bland mess. If I go back I'll make sure they properly season the sandwich.

MY REVIEW: This place makes excellent subs, any size you want, and with just about anything you want in them or on them. They even have low-carb options, and they have salads and stuffed potatoes too.
The atmosphere is very casual with a retro/hippie decor (macrame curtains, etc. Staff is very friendly.
They also have a thing called "Bald Mondays" where bald men get some kind of a discount on Mondays. I wouldn't know exactly what the discount is: hubby has long hair and we joke around with the staff and ask when they're going to have "long hair Tuesdays".

MY REVIEW: The subs are great. If you are looking for a non-franchise deli in the Clear Lake area, this is your place. The only weak point is that you have to pay for refills on soda.
