MY REVIEW: I read some of the bad reviews, and was a little apprehensive to try this restaurant. My wife & I and some friends went last night. We were seated immediately, and the atmosphere was very nice. The service was great. The appetizers were pretty good, and always had fresh rolls on the table. Every thing we ate was very good.

I personally had the Saba Steak Salad. Let me just say it was the best salad I've had in a long time. Everything was fresh, the taste was fantastic, and the steak was definitely Prime. I cut it with a fork, and the seasoning and flavor was awesome! The only complaint I had was it was a little pricey. Other than that, a very good experience. I guess you can't always trust the reviews...some are going to love it & some will not.

my opinion...very good food, and a great service. after we ordered, our food was on the table in about 10 minutes.

MY REVIEW: We are usually informed after being seated for dinner and ordering our drinks that they have (once again) run out of Bahama Brew & Bahama Blonde (signature beers). After expressing our frustration to the wait staff, a manager typically will stop by our table to acknowledge this is an ongoing problem for their restaurant. The atmosphere is fun but the food is pricey for the quality. Not up to par compared to the other TB cafes we have visited across the country.

MY REVIEW: Wow. If you don't mind paying $28 for 3 shrimp and 4 scallops on top of some rice, go for it. Personally, I'm happy with paying $14 for a bucket of them at J*oes or something. If you do go to this place, however, the burger's not bad. It only cost around $12.50 and comes with some great Burger K*ing-esque fries.

MY REVIEW: The "island atmosphere" is gone for us. In the past few months, we have had one great experience, one horrid experience and one so-so experience at Tommy Bahamas. We've given much money and time but we will call our relationship quits. Maybe it's just that my very favorite dish "Mango Fandango Chicken Salad" is off the menu permanently, but the lackadaisical service, the overpriced drinks, and the general feeling that they don't care anymore did us in. Well, we don't care to give them any more of our time and money. Too bad, it's a great place when done well.

MY REVIEW: Add me to the list of those disappointed by the fare. I used to LOVE the "Fandango Mango Chicken Salad". I would drag my husband out regularly to indulge in the mustardy, citrusy, delight speckled with hearts of palm. They've taken it off the menu, and in my opinion, it was the best of the entrees. Sad. I won't be back.

MY REVIEW: Our family decided to go to Tommy Bahama's after my daughter's graduation. They had our reservation, and we were promptly seated and received excellent service. The atmosphere was delightful; we felt like we were on vacation together again. The food was all very good--the crab bisque and goat cheese appetizer were the favorites. In view of the fact that my daughter had graduated that day, her dessert was complimentary!! We loved that, of course. All in all, I have to say that I give the food, service and atmosphere at Tommy Bahama an A+.

MY REVIEW: I've been here a handful of times now...and every time I leave a little more disappointed than the last. I won't go back. Once they didn't have the Butterscotch desert. They said that the batch was "bad" and they weren't able to serve it. Another time, they were out of the Pina Colada cake. As another reviewer stated, it's weird that they "run out" of their trademark dishes on a Saturday night.

Twice now, they have LOST my reservation (what then, is the point of the reservation???). Last time I booked through opentable dot com and the hostess rudely exclaimed that "people book through that service all the time and it works just fine". OK, thank you very much, so why don't you have my reservation?

We waited over an hour in the bar (to be expected on a Saturday night at 7PM), but the bartender got really pesty about the tab. He asked 3 or 4 times to close it out...fine and dandy except we were still on our first glass of wine. We finally paid it (and didnt' order any more drinks until we were seated at a table) just to shut him up.

Absolutely not worth $200 + for 4 people, can dine much better for comparable price in the Woodlands.

MY REVIEW: After reading the reviews, I decided on this restaurant as the place my husband and I would have our 28th Anniversary Dinner for one reason - the raves over the Pina Colada Cake. I also liked that people said they felt the atmosphere was magical like an island vacation.

I left disappointed. There was no pina colada cake available and at the time I ordered it, they said they had been out for 2 hours. I have a hard time believing that this particular Saturday night was so unusual in terms of the demand, so that was someone's error in judgement.

The food was not that great considering the price. The atmosphere was nice, but we did not feel transported away or "on vacation." My drink was weak, not flavorful (I had the lime daiquiri) and all of the drinks were overpriced. Our appetizer, the goat cheese, was the only highlight for me.

I wish we'd spent the evening somewhere else.

I won't go back. Definitely did not live up to expectation.

MY REVIEW: I've eaten here several times and have always been pleased by the atmosphere and the service. However, I find the food to be average. It is definitely not bad, but is not on par with other Woodlands-area upscale restaurants. However, since we always have a good time there, I'm sure we'll be back.

MY REVIEW: We celebrated a special occasion here last night and was very pleased with the service and food. When we arrived we were seated close to a large group that were having a meeting and giving awards. There was clapping and shouts,so we asked to be moved, and we were moved and apologized to immediately. We weren't upset at all, we just couldn't hear each other talk. The server was friendly, and knowledable of the menu. I had the Stuffed chicken, and my husband had the New York strip. They were excellent! My husband said it was the best New york strip he had ever had. Overall, this place was great, and we will be back.

MY REVIEW: It was my first time at this fine restaurant, my companion ate there before, she is the one who took me there for my birthday dinner.

I must say that it was absolutely great, from the ambiance, to the delicious food and superb presentation, to the great service.

We ate the goatcheese apetizer, the Mahi Mahi, the Coconut Shrimp and the Key Lime pie. All excellent.

MY REVIEW: Loved the atmosphere--we really felt like we were not in The Woodlands but on vacation somewhere exotic. The food was great, the Mahi Mahi was truly excellent and the chopped salad and shrimp sandwich were "just" delicious. The drinks are pricey (which seems to be a trend in TX) but delicious (loved the mojito). The two deserts we tried (Pina Colada cake and Brownie cake) were superb. The waitstaff were attentive and helpfull, although I wasn't impressed by the hostesses who seemed confused and overwhelmed. Definitely will return and take out-of-town friends.

MY REVIEW: Loved the Mahi mahi. Am dying to know what kind of sauce was used on it, because it was the best ever. The evening was magical; felt like I was on vacation in a tropical resort instead of one evening visiting family in Houston. The Market is a nice ambience, but the food was good enough to be enjoyed anywhere.

MY REVIEW: We liked it. If you did entrees and drinks, it could get expensive. We had the grilled chicken skewers, fried grouper sandwich, and shared a Cabana (?) salad - - which was all very good, and plenty of food for two adults. The Market Street atmosphere, combined with Tommy's unique set-up, is a nice relaxed night out. The menu also seemed to have enough variety to please most, including older children. We would return.

MY REVIEW: We made reservations for a group of 17. When we arrived we were delighted to find that they were able to accommodate our group easily. We were seated immediately and our waiter appeared promptly. Our indecision over appetizers prompted the waiter to offer us an appetizer sampler platter that was not on the menu. We were able to sample the best coconut shrimp I've ever eaten, the skewer chicker was fabulous, crab cakes were crisp and tasty. We had a selection of sauces that were all mouth watering. Each one of the 17 of us raved over our entree choice. The portions were large and expertly cooked. Then... the dessert. Again, each person raved about their choice be it Key Lime Pie, Pina Coloda cake or Bread Pudding. After reading previous reviews, I expected the prices to be costly but found them to be in line with many other restaurants in the area and felt that it was worth every penny. Try it, you'll like it.

MY REVIEW: Unique, satisfying salads. Blackened shrimp a little too spicy, but overall excellent food. Bread with honey butter was impossible to pass up. Ambience on the patio is superb. Felt like we were on vacation in our own hometown. Homemake lemonade was tart and delicious. I'm craving another trip.

MY REVIEW: Food--stuffed chicken and filet were excellent. Drinks--The BBC is awesome, although food and drinks were way overpriced (especially the drinks). Service was good. Dining room was a bit loud.

MY REVIEW: Went for Lunch. Food and service are great. Desserts look great too but too full for one. Price is on the high side. Atmosphere is great. Drinks overpriced. Went to Bahama in Hawaii and paid same price for drinks there that we paid in Houston.

MY REVIEW: The food was very good and the drinks were strong. The Pina Colada cake was to die for. The only drawback is it's a little pricey and it was kind of warm in the restaurant. Our waiter Jobin was very attentive and he made some very good suggestions on both food and drinks. We will definitely be going back. The Pina Colada Cake has been calling us.

MY REVIEW: Had an excellent time here; took my mom for Mother's Day. The ambiance is great, makes you feel like you are at a resort. The chicken skewers were excellent and the bread was great. I would definitely go back.

MY REVIEW: Had a wonderful time here last week sitting on the patio with friends, sampling their wonderful tropical drinks (the frozen concoction with banana liqueur is a must) and really good appetizers. We loved the chicken on skewers and the salsa with fried plantains. Hope to try the dinner menu soon, but so far this place has become a favorite based on drinks, appetizers and friendly service alone.
