MY REVIEW: Have eaten at this restaurant many times as it is close by but never again. Last visit was for 6 of us as we had guests with us. The waiter had to take 4 of the meals back 3 times, as they were stgone cold in the middle and hot on the outside. Which for a chicken dish is very dangerous. By the end 2 of us had eaten and were just waiting for the others to get their meals and by the third time everyone was bored and fed up.... no pun intended. The management didn't even offer to take anything off the bill and I didn't want to make a scene as we had guests so I called the restraurant when I arrived hom and spoke to Ken the manager. He blamed the waiter who was first class, it was obviously a nightmare in the kitchen and he said he would take something off the bill next time we were in but he didn't say what. So I called today to book a table, just for one and politely reminded them of this. The acting manager called Ken as it was his day off and said 'KEN SAYS YES HE REMEMBERS, BAD NIGHT IN KITCHE, YOU COME IN AND WE GIVE YOU 10PCT OFF!!!' How very nice of them I pointed out, that on my own it mean me spending about $30 and therefore getting $3 off. What a joke. We will not use this place again - there are far better japanese restaurants around and these people should not be allowed to rip people off just because they are in The Woodlands.

MY REVIEW: Extensive sushi menu. We had a sushi combination, sushi rolls, a hand roll and bento box. The food was of good quality. Really good service.

MY REVIEW: We tried Sake Kawa for the first time last night. The sushi was good and their menu is extensive. They have a really nice atmosphere with good music, soft lighting and nice, cool AC. Not sure why some have slammed them for their service. Our waiter was on top of everything and his reccomendation for a good roll was spot on. We had a giant sushi/nigiri boat, a sashimi platter and one roll. The sashimi was really good. Nice big chunks of very fresh fish. The nigiri was good and there was a varied assortment on the boat.
Definitely will go there again.

MY REVIEW: I love the sushi here - my parents get the dragon and caterpillar rolls a lot and I really like the rocky roll because it's all cooked and tastes so fresh and is so pretty. I used to like the tornado roll a lot, but since it is wrapped in shredded potato and flash fried, lately I have found it to be over or under cooked and very greasy. I love the salad and onion soup there and the hibachi food is good too. We normally all have sushi and salads and edamame and my son has the child's beef hibachi. Brian is a great waiter and some others have been good too, but sometimes you do have to keep on top of them. I have eaten there mostly at dinner, but at lunch the service is fine too...but I am usually not in a huge rush either.

MY REVIEW: I have lunch at Sakekawa about once a month and love their Bento Box, but I wonder why the same thing costs $4.00 more for dinner? The food is quite good, but the service always leaves something to be desired. Several times I have seen people complain and/or walk out because they have to get back to work and cannot wait any longer. On my last visit our sushi and Bento Box took 35 minutes to be served and the restaurant was more than half empty. I'll go back because the food is good, although the wait is annoying.

MY REVIEW: I go to Sake Kawa at least once a week to eat and for take out as well. The service wasn't the most desirable until we complained one night and told the hostess the only reason we keep coming back is because of the food and location, not the service. I have to say that it has gotten a lot better since then! I think it's hard to find a good waitstaff especially now a days with the way young people are they just don't have the same work ethics of other generations.
The "New York" and "Tokyo" rolls are excellent, the "Nemo roll" is yum, their hibatchi grilled steak and chicken are always excellent, even my kids will eat it over M*cDonald's! Their fried rice is yummy! I've had a few desserts that were excellent, the "green tea" ice cream and banana rolls yum, yum!

MY REVIEW: Sake Kawa is one of the best Japanese restaurants in the woodlands. The food is always fresh, excellent service, we eat there at least 4 days a week. We have tried most of their rolls and we were never disappointed. We take our friends and business partners there all the time.
Highly recommended Excellent Sushi!

MY REVIEW: Their in house service isn't the best I've ever had, but the food is spectacular. I usually order it to go now, since I wasn't impressed with the service. I haven't eaten in there in a long time, but their sushi is amazing. I love it.

MY REVIEW: I was checking out the reviews for Sake Kawa and the most recent was in 2005! So, Let me tell you about Sake Kawa. My wife and I eat there on average once a week. We also take any out of town guests there for dinner. So far, we've never been disappointed. The sushi and sashimi are always fresh and beautifully prepared. DELICIOUS!! My wife (not a big sushi lover) loves the teriyaki beef, salmon, chicken... The hibachi is always entertaining and they always give you more than you can eat. We once had hot sake that wasn't hot. We told them to just zap it in the microwave, no prob. But, they insisted on providing a fresh order so as not to diminish the flavor, Allright whatever. It just shows the service was exceptional. The atmosphere is always relaxed and inviting. Overall, I would highly recommend SakeKawa.

MY REVIEW: I eat Japanese food at least 4 days a week.I believe it is just too overpriced for what you get. I ordered this sort of eel bento box, and the eel was wayyy overdone and mushy. I would rather goto K*yotos on the feeder by Sawdust. Its cheaper and better food

MY REVIEW: I don't like sushi and I still love their sushi. My husband will make a meal out of their California rolls.
Their crab puffs are pure heaven.
I've eaten several of their dishes and everything is great.
We try to go every month.
