MY REVIEW: We love to eat at Los Caporales Restaurant and we highly recommend it. The owner is very gracious and hospitable, the service is prompt and attentive. Their margaritas are delicious. The menu is very large, the portions are generous, and the prices are very affordable.

AND THEY HAVE THE TENDEREST FAJITAS ON THE PLANET! LC's fajitas do NOT become like tough shoe leather like they do everywhere else almost immediately--they even remain tender the next day, should you need to box any leftovers.

MY REVIEW: I love LC. Gilbert has owned the resteraunt since before I started going there, and the food is awesome. I live in the neighboorhood too, and he supports our local swim team as well as the local high school. I love the service, and the atmoshere. I recomend it to anyone who is looking for a casual meal with excellent food and at a good price. Its not fancy or anything, but its REALLY good.

MY REVIEW: Just got back from Los Caporales for the first time...Awesome. My family and I have lived in the neighborhood behind Los Caporales for over 4 years and passed on it many times based on the looks of the shopping center. Tonight for some reason I looked up the restaurants in the area and saw a couple of reviews. So tired of the other Mexican restaurants in the area, we said what the hell and were surprised to say the least.

All the reviews are dead on...now were not talking fancy but the food, drink, and service rock. The prices are not bad at all, better than most. This is my first restaurant review on any site and this place moved me enough to want to expose them more...we will be back for more. Gilberto, the owner rocks...

MY REVIEW: This is a great family-owned restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, with a great staff.

The food is awesome; it is real Mexican, not Tex-Mex as most other so-called mexican restaurants serve.

MY REVIEW: We've been visiting Los Caporales since shortly after it opened. The owner, Gilbert, knows his customers after just one visit and gives everyone a warm greeting. You can't be "just a customer" there.

The margaritas are just strong enough to have taste, but not so much alcohol you can't enjoy them. I'm not a margarita drinker, but I have to have one at Los Caporales.

The menu is fairly standard Tex-Mex, but check the board for some different fare. Both the salsas are very good, and the bowl of chips is promptly replenished, as are the bowls of salsa. You have to remember not to eat too much so you have room for the great food. I like the Friday's Special (available every day) because it has a little bit of everything. Be sure to ask for the flavorful charra beans instead of the usual refried ones. They make your tongue smile, as does the rice, which actually has a real flavor of its own worth savoring.

My husband likes the dusky mole enchaladas, and they're often on the specials board.

Service is prompt, but not annoying, and Gilbert will be by to visit and to make sure everything is right. It almost always is, and if it isn't, he makes it right.

My only quibble is with the flour tortillas. Nuking them just makes them rubbery. They need to make them fresh. It would make a world of difference.

Los Caporales has an amazing number of regulars. Gilbert knows them all and escorts them to their preferred tables. How he does it I have no idea.

Like the famous potato chips, we - and you - can't eat there just once.

MY REVIEW: Los Caporales is a very good resturant that starts you off with warm chips and two types of salsa. (I like the darker version so much, I have never tried the other.) Personally, I have never tried anything other than the tacos because they are so great. My wife and several friends have tried many items and have enjoyed them all. The service is good, helpful and very nice. Los Caporales is located on the north side of 249 just west of 1960. (249 and Schroeder).
