MY REVIEW: After moving here form Paris, France one of the things I missed most was a proper cup of expresso and a place to read the paper or chat with friends, Carlos and Henry have provided this haven and tolerate with such kindnes those of us with children making each and everyone feel at home and most of all welcomed. I have made friends at Harvest and have spent many a morning discussing broad thinsg from peotry to education or gardening and litterature and enjoying their own home roasted expresso which I love. My husband enjoys roasting his own coffee but enjoys coming here also. This is one of the very few authentic and wonderful havens in the west. I also would add that their patisserie are very tasty.

MY REVIEW: I wouldn't class this place as trendy. Unpretentious, laid back, but focused on quality coffee and a flexible atmosphere. I like that it serves many different styles of people. Some go in for the (execrable) jazz, others go for the wifi and lattes, and some of us drink hot chocolate and smoke on the porch while discussing anarcho-syndicalist politics. Much more flexible than a chain, and there's a feeling of trust in that the business owners are the employees and seem to give a large care about how a visit turns out.

MY REVIEW: My experiences at Harvest are of pure eloquence. The cozy atmosphere is simply delightful. The coffee that is served is absolutely to die for, and the jazz performed bi-weekly is fabolous. Carlos and Henry are amazing people with amazing talents. Their ability to run such a successful business and lounge is none other than perfect. Anyone who has not experienced this delightful treat known as Harvest should do so as soon as possible.

MY REVIEW: The coffee is wonderful, the Tuesday Jazz Nights are incredible, and the odd Westside band gigs are cool. Henry and Carlos are great at what they do, and their love for the business shows through in their shop. I enjoy being there late at night with a group of friends. I would be writing this from the store, through their wi-fi hotspot, but I haven't got a laptop. Alas. Either way, 11 out of 10 for Harvest! The best coffee and ser-biz with a smile.

MY REVIEW: As someone who is moving to San Francisco and spends ALOT of time in the bay area I would say Harvest would do just fine there (my new place is in North Beach). They have great coffee, ice cream and above all Henry and Carlos. We are VERY lucky to have harvest in the west side of town. I hope when I come back to Houston they have even more success. I only wish they opened on Sunday. I guess even superman needs a day of rest.

MY REVIEW: Having lived in the bay area for seven years I have to say the coffee shops in North Beach are MUCH better than Harvest Coffee. Coffee is part of the culture of the northwest... not a passing fad. I do think Harvest is a great Houston coffee shop with alot of strong points for this area and market. When there is good espresso on every corner, you have to be great if you want to stay open. Houston just isn't up to the task yet. Harvest Coffee is a "good" starting point.

MY REVIEW: Harvest is by far the best coffee ever. I come every morning before school and more often that not in the afternoon or at night, never to be dissapointed. Henry and Carlos know me and my friends from Westside High School and provide an incredible atmosphere to relax. socialize, and indulge.

MY REVIEW: I took a trip to San Fransisco and this coffee house reminds me of the North Beach area coffee houses. The espresso is the tops and the gelatos are so tasty. I frequent Harvest Coffee House for the great coffee and the live jazz on tuesdays and thursdays.
I have my heart at Harvest coffee.

MY REVIEW: Henry and Carlos have created a comfortable, warm, and welcoming setting to enjoy a variety of excellently prepared coffees and delicious edibles. Their mocha is the best around. Regulars were grieved when they left their original Elix on Memorial, and the new place has exceeded expectations. The evenings with live music are also outstanding.

MY REVIEW: This is the old eLix crew! - serving some of the best coffee in Houston and definitely the best on the west side. Owners are knowledgeable and helpful. I recommend trying Harvest as soon as you can for true top-tier coffee.

MY REVIEW: This new coffee shop in Houston's west end is small, but trendy. They serve good coffee and have good gelato as well (which is retrieved from Nundini's Italian Deli on Shepherd that makes Houston's homemade gelato). On Tuesdays, they seem to have live music from 8 pm to 10 pm. It's in the Dairy Ashford Village (where Sweet Mesquite is at) and it seems to attract nearby Westside High School students as well as locals from the area.
