MY REVIEW: This was our 1st visit to the restaurant and we had a 2-for-1 coupon that we used. Let's just say I'm glad we had the coupon.

The overall experience was very good. Having the table to ourselves for the whole night, and being able to leisurely eat, drink and bet without being rushed was nice. The finish line was right in front of the Winner's Circle, so that was a bonus as well.

Our waiter was very friendly and offered some good advice to us newbies. In fact, everybody was nice....can't complain there at all.

Drinks were reasonable. We had "pony beers" for a buck each!

Where we think improvements could be made...and maybe they were just having an off night, is with the buffet, particularly the appetizer and dessert tables. The shrimp, although bountiful, did not taste fresh. (They did not have any other seafood as mentioned by another reviewer). The desserts were of poor quality (if you expect more than grocery store quality).

On the upside, the prime rib was excellent, especially with the horseradish dressing. I sampled some other of the hot food items, and they seem to be up to par.

It will cost you extra to park, extra to get in the door, and the cost of food and drinks on top of that. If you're lucky, your winning could cover this cost, but if you're like me, you could add your losses to the total cost of the night as well.

Overall, it was a fun, interesting experience. Would we do it again? Maybe, we'll try the club seats specials next time, or go there when they have a concert.

MY REVIEW: I would never have thought to go the the race track for dinner but I had a meeting with someone who wanted to meet there. I was surprised by the quality of our meals. I was expecting "ball park" food. My tuna steak salad was very good - tuna wasn't overcooked. The others had the fried shrimp, baked chicken and salmon. Everyone thought the food was great. Two of us shared the brownie dessert and it was awesome - a big brownie dipped in white chocolate and served with ice cream. We were able to discuss our business then bet on a few horses. It was fun!

MY REVIEW: The Grand Buffet was wonderful. Cold Shrimp till you could swim like a fish, numerous main courses to choose from, even some that were cooked right in front of you (by very courteous cooks with those tall, tall hats), and a dessert spread that made it impossible to choose just one. With our own private television to watch the horses in the paddock area and a beautiful view of the race track, it was a great dining experience, with a lot of fun thrown in betting on the ponies. I have got to go back soon!

MY REVIEW: Surprise! Fantastic food! The Chef & his staff have got to rate in the top ten in Houston. We had a company outing with about 50 people and were taken care of very well. Service was outstanding, the food was great, and our group sales rep was wonderful!I would recommend that any company looking to give their employees a night of apprieciation bring them to the track! I will be back with my family for a another fun night at the races, and have already booked our company's holiday party with them!

MY REVIEW: I'm always looking for fun places to go eat on weekend nights, and this ranks at the top. We can watch the horses run, make bets, and eat some fantastic food all without leaving our seats. This is definitely a great place to come with your significant other or with just a group of friends. They've made some good changes, and their new chef is offering some great food selections.

MY REVIEW: Great food and service. Try the "Bob Cobb" Salad, it's amazing!! And not too pricey, especially because you get a front row seat to watch the horses run, and you don't have to walk far to place a bet. They let us sit and watch the races long after we had finished our meal.

MY REVIEW: Really good food served buffet style with a seafood station serving shrimp, mussels, clams. Nice layout and you can watch the races while you eat and stay to watch after you're finished eating even. I'll be back!
