MY REVIEW: I felt welcome with the new renovated space, clean and warm atmosphere. The salmon is my favorite but all the food tastes as good as it looks. Excellent staff and I defintely invite a friend.

MY REVIEW: I decided to give them another try, to my dissapointment, they are just as bad as before the "new management". ALL of the food was very dry and luke warm from sitting on the buffet too long. The waitress was very rude and on her bluetooth the whole time I was there. I did'nt know if she was talking to me or the person on the phone every time she came by. Very Dissapointed with the whole experience!

MY REVIEW: I was very disappointed in the food! I've been to a lot of chinese restaurants and this would be in the top 10 worst! The eggrolls and crab rangoons were desent, the general joe chicken was horrible, lots of fat/grissel and the sauce wasnt that great. The beef and broccoli was edible.... the broccoli being the better part. The pork fried rice was also feeled with low quality fatty meat. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, look elsewhere. The service was also bad and the owner was also rude when we refused to eat the crappy food...Hope this saves your dining experience.

MY REVIEW: Food is fresh,I have been eating there for 7 years. Great slection and price is right. Love the sweet & sour chicken as well as chicken fried rice. The prices change from lunch to dinner, so be careful you might spend a little more,But it,s worth it Keep up the good work

MY REVIEW: No one knows my name because they are all new. Oriental Village has recently reopened after remodeling. It has new owners and a much improved buffet although I was a little disappointed the other day when they had no fresh (uncooked/unfried) spring rolls on the buffet, and I couln't get anyone on the staff to understand what I was talking about. I've been eating here once a week for years. Some years ago under the previous owners there was so much grease on the supposedly clean dinner plates that you could write your name in it which is another reason I preferred Y*ang Sing. Thankfully, that is no longer the case.

Oriental Village is now immaculate, well staffed, and complete with many new items on the buffet. I would now agree that Oriental Village, China B*order, Y*ank Sing, and K*ing Garden (over on Long Point and Wirt) are all on a par with each other. They each have their own specialities that will make you want to return.

MY REVIEW: Fantastic from soup to nuts, literally ! They have everything including all the standard Chinese dishes, great soups, salad and dessert, but also sushi. This is still the best Moo Goo Gai Pan and Beef Pepper Steak in Houston. Love the Egg Drop Soup. Drive in from the Copperfield area just to eat here. Have been a faithful and happy customer since they opened, at least 10 or 11 years ago !

MY REVIEW: Best Chinese buffet in NW Houston. I have been eating there since the doors opened and can not believe that any one would choose Y*ang-Sing over Oriental Garden. Wonderful MooGoo GaiPan, fresh steamed veggies, easy to get in, eat and leave during lunch hour rush. Those who prefer the " spicy " stuff will not be disappointed. Also offers fesh fruit, salad and desserts. Prices are more than fair. Problems ? I've never had a problem with Oriental Village !

MY REVIEW: Prices have just increased depending on what you order to drink. With a diet soda the total cost is $7.80 which is higher than Y*ank Sing across from Delmar Stadium on Mangum and not nearly as good or extensive. China B*order, farther in on 290 just beyond 34th, costs a bit more during the week (even higher on Saturday) but is also better. Just one guy's opinion, but I eat at all three almost every week.

MY REVIEW: I have to say it is one of the frendlist restaurants I have ever been too.

The food is very good and very cheap. They serve mouth watering Shrimp that will leave you lips begging for more. It is a peaceful restaurant. I have been to this place so many time I have lost track. The only weak point would be the decor, it lacks luster, but I do not go for the decor, I go for the food.

MY REVIEW: LOTS of good food for small bill. Spicy beef could be a bit spicier, but it's still good. Fast & friendly.
