MY REVIEW: Sake was one of my favorite places UNTIL they got new management. First change was the watery ginger dressing... then the quality of the fish went down. Will not return.

MY REVIEW: Definitely a restaurant i can always return to without getting tired of the food. Is exactly like what you see on the travel channel. A hole in the wall location with food that tastes homemade and the wait staff knows you by name and the food you like after only a couple of visits. Although the restaurant does seem to be understaffed on busy nights, the low-key atmosphere helps keep conversations private while maintaining a friendly atmosphere, so the occasional slow service is easily overlooked while you talk to whomever you came with.

If you manage to come in during the slower parts of the day i would recommend sitting at the sushi bar. The sushi chefs are always friendly, and, if you feel like it, they'll find out what kind of fish you like and create special rolls just for you. If you love the roll they'll name it after you; this makes eating here much more fun and you feel connected to the place, especially when you see your roll up on the special board. Overall this restaurant is a wonderful place, great for everything, from family dinners to dates, or even a quiet meal by yourself. I would recommend trying Sake if youre in the baytown area and want to try some good food.

MY REVIEW: I'd never had sushi before and now I love it, thanks to Sake. I now get lunch here at least once a week. Great food, decent prices. Service is occasionally slow, but always friendly. This is definitely my favorite restaurant in Baytown. Don't let the exterior fool you - this place is worth it.

MY REVIEW: Ever since Sakes opened my family and friends have been coming. since Ivy and her family took over the restaurant, the food has become fantastic. The sushi and sashimi are top-notch. I've only eaten better a few times, and I've eaten sushi in almost every state. It is one of the only dining spots here in Baytown where one can have a real conversation, as it is not too noisy and the tables are not so close together. The lighting is subdued but not murky. Due to its small size, it is hard to have a large group here, but we have reserved for up to 30 persons on occassion. Waitresses remember names and food preferences, including the need for soy paper and no shrimp for some of my family. The weakness would be the low number of wait staff on some visits. Hard to find and keep good people everywhere, it seems.

MY REVIEW: I love this place!!! I too eat sushi at upscale restaurants in Houston and have not found one that I enjoy as much as Sake. Try the Erin roll for any sushi beginners. It is delicious!

MY REVIEW: We really enjoyed the sushi rolls as well as the fried rice (incredibly seasoned). We normally have to drive to Kemah for any sushi--because the outside of Sake looks small and is a high traffic area we rarely noticed it...we will go much more now!

MY REVIEW: sake is pretty unique place in baytown.. since baytown doesn't offer alot of diversity.. the sushi is awesome and even better than some japanese restaurants in the houston area. the wait staff is decent and the prices are well priced.. the tempura is amazing as well as the fried rice.. the deep fried ice cream is unheard of.. i liked it alot... i eat there alot and they usually know my order and their recommendations are also great.. i urge all the people in baytown to try sushi.. it is healthy and taste good as well... 5 stars all around .. bravo

MY REVIEW: I went once pre-Ike, the food was avrage, tempura. I've had much better at the mall eateries! This last time I went was 10-2-08. This was at 8pm. There were 4 tables dirty to the right as we walked in, and 1 to the left. On the elevated area there were several still with plates on them. We stood at the front for 5 minutes and finally just sat down at one of the dirty tables. The older lady said she would get it cleaned. After 15 min's. I tried to flag down one of the other waitresses to no avail! I tried to flag down the bus boy in back, he must be blind too! One set of customers waited as long as we did just to get their check, gave up, and walked the check! we waited a total of 20 min's and walked out. We saw another couple come in the door, waiting for 10 min's with no help and they walked out too!

MY REVIEW: Living in Baytown, this is a restaurant my sis and I go to all the time. It's actually the best Japanese food I've ever eaten (aside from a restaurant in South Padre) and it's never crowded. Our waitress, Eilleen, knows our name and usually knows our order before we even tell her. It's friendly service, you pretty much can sit anywhere, the food is fantastic, and all in all, it's always a good experience.

MY REVIEW: I love this place... I use to go every Tuesday but I haven't been as regular as I would like. My roommate and I have a certain table that I always sit at and the waiter knows me by name. Adrain is a young waiter there that is an awesome person and a fabulous waiter. He greets us as soon as we walk in the door and already knows what I want to order. Sometimes I change it up a bit to keep him wondering instead. My favorite is the miso soup, salad, california rolls, salmon, egg rolls, and fried rice. I guess everything I've had so far has been great. I highly recommend this restraunt. GREAT staff, AWESOME food, and FANCY atmosphere... VERY unusual for a place like this in Baytown.

MY REVIEW: I love this place. It is vary good eats. I hope more people will visit because the place is always empty and I am afrade that the place is closed down becaue of lack of business. Then i will hace to drive to kemah. if you get a chance to eat there it is worth it.

MY REVIEW: I didnt think it was possible for Baytown to have a resturant with this much class. I love this place. Before, for me to get sushi I had to go to I*chibon's in Kemah or T*oyoko Bowl in Webster. But I think Sake is the best of the bunch. I have had California Rolls just about everywhere and these are the best. The miso soup is very good. One critism I have is the salad dressing. I know that there are people that love the strong ginger dressing, but I do not. I prefer the sweet dressing like I*chibon or T*oyoko Bowl. I wish they would give you a choice. Sitting at the bar is fun and the chefs are very friendly and knowledgeable. But if you go, the do not leave without item is the Unagi (Eel) sushi. It is wonderful. The presentation is flawless with the gold flexs. GREAT RESTURANT!!!

MY REVIEW: I love this restaurant's bbq pork lunch box which includes a great entree of bbq pork, fried rice, a california roll, miso soup (if you eat-in), salad (the ginger dressing is delicious), tempura, wontons, and orange slices for $6.95. It is so much food that you will not eat it all @ once. However, though I love their California and Amy roll, there are a few others that I do not like the Bonjai (it is rolled in tempura coating and completely fried) Fried sushi???? Only in Baytown.
