Inn at Dos Brisas, The

MY REVIEW: Wow - we should set up a self-help group for those of us that simply want to go back to Dos Brisas. Sunday brunch yesterday was a memory I will have until the end of my life. What a meal! What flavors, beauty, surroundings and service. Every detail was perfect and more detailed than anything I have ever experienced. Pricey yes - but the privacy and experience of Inn at Dos Brisas is not to be overlooked. Go - and tell us when - we will go with you. Thanks, Glenn

MY REVIEW: Wife and I stayed at the casitas overnight and had dinner, breakfast and lunch the next day. Simply the best meal we've ever experienced. The food was perfect, the service was professional, and the ambiance was luxurious. The beef short rib was fantastic, and the chocolate mousse dessert was rich but not overpowering. The staff waited on us like we were royalty, but without a hint of pretention. The dining room was beautiful and cozy.

This restaurant was the only Texas restaurant to earn a Mobil five star award in 2008, and it lived up to those expectations for us. It is the perfect spot for a surprising special occassion.

MY REVIEW: This is a unique restaurant. We had dinner there in May, and were so impressed that we went back for brunch in June. Both meals were really well prepared and well served. The inn itself is a lovely building set on what was a horse ranch in Brenham. The food is great, and if you are there during the day the views from the porch is exceptional. There were three servers, who seemed interchangable. They all did everything, so the service felt seamless. Being a bit more than an hour from Houston is a problem, but if you are traveling to or from Austin it is perfect stop.

Prices for the restaurant were similar to expensive restaurants in Houston (we had the $75 fixed price menu. There was also a menu for $125). Overall a great experience, and worth the drive.

MY REVIEW: Excellent Service, Superb dining, and the both Chrises cater to your needs. We've also stayed overnight in the casitas and went horseback riding during the day. This is a luxurious getaway. Highly recommend to cook with Chef Jason.

MY REVIEW: This restaurant was fantastic! We were guests there and everything was perfect. The attentiveness of the staff, the chef's ability to grant our substitutions and the absolute accomodating nature of everyone there made it a most enjoyable experience. The dessert was fantastic and innovative and the on-site food made a difference in the taste. The chocolate souffle is not to be missed. The location and landscape is gorgeous and the wine list was very noteable. This is the perfect place for a romantic dinner, a relaxing night, a long weekend.

MY REVIEW: This restaurant was amazing! I can't believe there is food that good in Washington County! We went there for my mother's birthday and everything was perfect, Richard and his staff, were attentive yet unobtrusive and never rushed us at all, in fact the chef sent out free appetizers for us to munch on as we enjoyed our drinks before dinner. Also, they were so accommodating with substituting the prix fix menu for me. The location is glorious and the wine list impressive. The only downside is the price-- $95/person is a bit much for just your regular dining experience.
