MY REVIEW: In my neighborhood. No sign outside. Good vibe inside. Owner and Wife treat you very well. Crowd that hangs there is dressed up and not afraid to spend a little money. But not a pretentious place. Smoke out back now. Pizza is surprisingly and ridiculously good. Homemade. Order the goat cheese!

MY REVIEW: Definitely one of the best places in Houston. They have a killer Happy Hour, amazing food and great drinks. Really though, the food is amazing. The pizzas = yum! Quality.

Keep Houston shining!!

MY REVIEW: No longer Smokey! What a great place to relax and unwind after a long week. The couches were very comfortable and the lighting was very low and nice.

We chose the anti-pasta plate and a Basil/Mozz/Tom Pizza. We were blown away at the wide selection of meats, cheeses, and fruit on the anti-pasta plate. The pizza crust was phenomenal, the toppings fresh and flavorful.

We also tried one of the signature martinis....A Cajun Martini, which exceeded our expectations. I can't wait to go back for another cajun martini and to try some of the other fantastic looking menu items.

MY REVIEW: Great food and drink, excellent paninis and pizzas.

BUT YES it is smokey. Chain smokey. It's terrible, but all my freinds smoke, so I load up on advil if I am going to Absinthe. It can be deafening and suffocating on the wrong night, but before 8pm it'spretty easy going.

MY REVIEW: WHAT A WONDERFUL SPOT!!!!!!!

My first visit to Absinthe was in March a friend of mine had recommended the pizzas there. We stopped in to have a lite bite and then couldn't get enough. We started out with the antipasto plate which is loaded with meats and cheeses and you wouldn't believe it by looking at the price. Then we had the chicken, pineapple pizza which was unbelievable that we ended up ordering 2 others to go. The place was packed but still remained quite cozy. If you haven't been there you should really stop in. You would never believe it if you just drove by.

MY REVIEW: Whoever said that there was no smoky smell was way off base. My friend and I stopped in for a quick drink and appetizers before going to the theater and couldn't get out fast enough. The smoke was horrible!

MY REVIEW: Many women find wine bars a more comfortable choice for get-togethers with firends than many bars. Absinthe Brasserie would also fit the bill.

Attractive qualities: no TV (thank goodness), no smoky smell, a full bar and several wines by the glass at reasonable prices, very good quality finger food like hummus, pizzas, and bruschetta (which it spells brochette, like skewered meats), and evocative "golden oldie" music at a volume that enables conversation, rather than obscuring it. I arrived early, around 5:30,and my friend came late, but the bartender made me feel welcome, while I sat alone in a comfortable couch area, sipping first water, and then wine. My impression from the other reviews is that this is a late night hangout; it was lightly populated between 5:30 and 7 on a week night. It did not smell smokey at all. I plan to take my husband there, soon.

MY REVIEW: Strong points for Absinthe are everything from the warm and cozy feel of the place, the atmospher, the hip patrons, to the fantastic Not-bar food and equally fantastic attentive staff!! Absolutely the very best - great parking, as long as you know it's there! Just look for the Cleaners sign and the beautiful castle-like doors that adorn the entrance of Absinthe...I just wish their menu was longer, but then again it would make my choice that much more difficult...everything is very good - homemade little pizzas are some of the best I've ever eaten. Can't say enough about Absinthe!

MY REVIEW: Absinthe Brasserie is a little Montrose Hideaway that looks like something you would find in a European town. It has such a warm feel that you get the feeling that you are in your own living room. Try the Sangria and the Mojitos - delicious!!! You won't even notice it when you drive by but you will be pleasantly surprised when you walk in.

MY REVIEW: This place is like no other in Houston. It's sort of a Speakeasy where you have to be in the know to find out about it. You will recognize the owners as soon as you walk in because they are also the bartenders. It's cute and cozy and you will know someone there everytime you walk in. The food is amazing!! They serve all night and it's not like any other bar food, try their homemade pizzas and their salmon carpaccio. GREAT HOSPITALITY AND GREAT FOOD AND DRINKS!!! I'll be back.
