5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: I really like the food ,but the parking is very small and it was one waitress for all the customer. My kids were so happy to taste food from their mother's country

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: The majority of our group (4 out of 5) went with the house specialty -- Pabellon Criollo (Traditional Venezuelan Plate) - shredded beef, white rice, black beans and sweet fried plantains. Our lone wolf sampled the Arroz con Pollo y Tajadas - Spanish chicken and rice with side of plantains. The chicken was "excellente".
The consensus on the Pabellon Criollo was "muy bueno". The beef and beans were very tasty, and the smoky flavor of the hot sauce complemented them well. Everyone enjoyed the Venezuelan Hot sauce - green peppers, jalapenos, onions and other spices sautéed -- with one in our group buying a small container to take home!! Small containers may be purchased for $2.00.
The ambience was relaxing and quiet. We could talk comfortably and weren't blasted by music or the TV. At least one person wouldn't mind going again and trying another dish!! Overall, great food, generous portions, reasonable price, quick service, homely ambiance, house hot sauce is highly recommended. The restrooms were nice and clean. The only drawback the group could come up with was the small parking lot but street parking is available.

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: EXCELLENT!!! I grew up in Edo. Tachira in the Andes. From the Frescolita to the arepitas they served like chips and salsa in TexMex restaurants to the pabellon this meal took me back to my childhood. I'll be back -- often!

23343 Aldine Westfield Rd, Spring, Texas MY REVIEW: I've been a couple of times to their location in the Galleria area and I love this restaurant. Very authentic Venezuelan food. I am so happy that they opened a location not too far from where I live (much closer than the other location). I love everything. You can pay double and triple the amount of money that other south american and central american restaurants charge. The caliber of their food is great and fresh. The atmosphere is clean and fun.
5 stars for Miguelitos

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: From my first visit I was hooked. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone. The food is great, the atmosphere is clean. I absolutely love their empanadas and their spanish rice and chicken plate is also good and they are very generous with their portions. The only thing I will say is many times I have gone and they only have 1 waiter, so you want to make sure you're not on the clock. If you want to save time you can always visit their website to find their full menu before you go :) They also deliver

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: What a wonderful experience! The food was marvelous. So tasty and enjoyable! At first I was apprehensive thinking that the flavors would be to strong and bold but honestly I can't remember having such flavorful food. Keep up the good work Mig & Ale - you have a wonderful atmosphere that will keep us all coming back!

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: I finally made it last night to Miguelito's with my husband and two children, and we all really enjoyed it. The food was really good, and authentic. It has a very relaxing atmosphere -very simple, but clean and cozy- and the service was prompt and friendly. We had the soup of the day (hervido de res), cocadas, and tequenos. My little girl had the meatballs, which she loved... and my little boy just ate the arepitas con nata with joy! We had a great experience, and we'll definetely go back, and recommend it!

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: My children loved...just loved the arepitas, that was their most favorite dish, they could have just that and been happy. My husband loved the juices and the frescolita, The food is good, the price is right and it is nice and cozy.
It is too bad is a long drive from clearlake, but worth to stop by when on the area.

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: I absolutely love this restaurant and highly recommend it! I've been back 4 times in one month simply because I can't get enough of their food. Their empanadas are GREAT. On our first trip, the hubs and I ordered their Spanish Chicken, rice, and plantain plate plus a sampler plate. It was all too much for us to eat. I found the food to be less greasy and less salty then other places. For dessert the hubs always orders churros, which are good.. but nothing spectacular. The hubs loved their arepas although one would not fill him up. I took a friend there on my 3rd visit who loved the meatballs with rice and plantain. I've also had them deliver at a reasonable time. Great cozy restaurant with delicious food at an affordable price, even makes me feel like I'm back home. They will definitely be seeing me again and again

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: It was a dream come true when I found out about this restaurant. I've tried it so many times that even we have ordered out at my office (first time they tried venezuelan food and they loved it, especially cachapas and the shredded beef). Food is as good as mom's or mine (LOL). You've to try everything from the menu (cachapas, arepas, pabellon, tequenos, etc.) Places like this make you feel proud of what a beautiful country we have. Viva Venezuela (w/o Chavez)!!!

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: I must say this is the best "like eating at home" out of home experience. Miguelito's seems to have that taste and flavor so hard to describe. You must go and try it out. Quiet, colorful, affordable, accesible, friendly these are all true to this small but charming restaurant. two thumbs up to them! and congratulations!

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: We just tried Miguelito's for the first time based entirely on the reviews here. It absolutely did not disappoint. In fact it was terrific. Food was delicious, service great and atmosphere cozy (definitely not fancy). I've been to Caracas a few times and this was clearly authentic in my book. The best part is that this wonderful little find is very inexpensive. We had a large appetizer we (wife and I) split, two entrees (both great) and desert (tres leches good but nothing to write home about) plus BYOB (NO corking charge) and with tip and tax the meal was $32. We will definitely do Miguelitos again frequently.

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: This place is great. I believe its the only place i've come across in houston that actually serves Sugar Cane Juice. The food was good to; me and a friend ate for a total for $20. Mostly i go to this restaurant for their sugar cane juice! Make sure you order a glass of it if you go there!

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: We went because it was a featured link & we wanted to try Venezuelan food. The restaurant is very cute, very Venezuelan in decor...brightly colored walls, festive. It isn't a huge restaurant.
We ordered soups, arepas, blackbeans, & yucca. The orange squash soup & corn soup were flavored in a way I haven't had soup flavored before. A very strong meat base, I'm guessing, they were salty. Once I got over the expectation of what corn & squash soup taste like, I liked the corn soup. I think Venezuelans would have liked the soup, ie, it seemed very authenic, but something newbies would have to get used to.
The arepas were fantastic. They are corn cake sandwiches. I haven't had something like them in houston before.
Black beans & yucca are standard...they tasted as expected.
I would go back and eat lots of arepas. I loved the decor, the waitstaff was friendly, the other patrons seemed like regulars and thrilled with the place. I probably won't order soup again...but look forward to the arepas.

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: The food here was great. I went for lunch, and it was hard to park, very slow (only one waiter) but well worth it. Their $9.99 lunch special is tons of food. The shredded beef is wonderful, as are the fried plantains. It's a little warm in there, so ladies, no jacket needed....
We will definitely go back again!

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: Food is really good, nice to have a "Plato Navideño" when you are away from your country on these holidays. Arepas, empanaditas and tequeños were really good. Will go back again.

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: The shredded beef was pretty good, but everything else (especially the arepas) was very bland. Also, the juice drinks are very watered-down. The staff is nice and the service is good, but the parking is very crowded.

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: WONDERFUL restaurant. My Venezuelan husband smiled the entire time we were there. According to him, the food and drinks were just like home. I enjoyed an arepa and tequenos with quesillo for dessert. We will be back, so that our family and friends can try authentic Venezuelan food without me having to learn to cook it!!

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: I love it!!!.....very similar to my country's food and tastes (Costa Rica). It looks and taste very fresh and homemade.
Sometimes the service is ok. When there is only one waitress attending for everybody at the same time.
I'll be back soon!

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: I went on a Sunday with my family. The service took a long time since there was only one waitress doing her best to keep everybody happy. The waitress was kind but either they hire another person or the put the guy behind the cash register to help. They have one person working at 100% and one guy 85% idle. The food is good but a little bit overpriced. The pastries are very good. A little bit difficult to find parking space the day we went.

5506 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77056 713.783.8644 MY REVIEW: Very good food. It was our first time to eat Venezuelan food and ordered the sampler platter with a couple extra sides. Ended up taking food home, too much to eat for my wife and myself. Besides we wanted to try the Bienmesabe for dessert. It was fantastic. I believe it was the owner who came by our table and spoke to us for a few moments. He was very kind and informative. We will definetely be back. Great food for a great price.
