MY REVIEW: Great kolaches, although our son swears the breakfast tacos are the best in town. My favorite kolache is the spicy sausage, so yummy!

MY REVIEW: This place is hand's-down the best! Their dough is so fresh and you can tell it's homeade. I always get a box of mixed kolaches on the weekends for my wife and myself, and they barely make it to Sunday. My favorite is the Spicy Sausage and Cheese. Also, they make great croissant breakfast sandwiches! They don't advertise them enough, but they actually make homeade croissants and they are the best - topped with their fresh eggs, ham, and cheese! Way better than a drive through. WE are so glad we found this place it's a real gem here in Katy. But I'd drive there from anywhere!

MY REVIEW: These are by far the best kolaches I have ever had! The bread melts in your mouth! I love the spicy sausage kolaches...they are filled with a jalepeno tapenade and sausage pieces. If you like it spicy, these will hit the spot! Also, the bavarian cream filled and/or cream cheese/fruit filled kolaches make for a wonderful partner with coffee. Anytime I have out-of-town guests visiting, we make a run for Lone Star, and they are always a huge hit!

MY REVIEW: Our whole family heard of this kolache shop in Katy and we decided to go there for breakfast last Saturday. It was great. My son loved the breakfast tacos, and my husband and I tried the BBQ and the spicy sausage kolaches. They were very good. Only drawback, no place to really sit and eat. But the owner was really friendly and invited us to sit on the bench and eat our food there.
Very nice atmosphere and family friendly place. We'll definitely be going back.

MY REVIEW: The sausage kolaches are great, with the wonderful, finely-grained dough I remember from my Grandma's kolaches. But every Texas Czech knows that poppyseed kolaches are never made "open" (with the filling on top) like the fruit kolaches--Poppyseed always comes "closed" like the sausage ones!
But, over all, these are the best kolaches the Katy area has to offer, unless you make 'em yourself. And the owner/manager is a peach-- courteous, friendly, and hard-working.
