Great BBQ, local, friendly, and fast. You can also pick up some meat from the well stocked and old school meat counter. They are a little more expensive than the grocery stores, but I think the quality and full service makes up for it. I live right down the street. The resturant has won numerous awards at the city fair and says that it is one of the best places in Houston to eat. MY REVIEW: The BBQ here just isn't smoky. Brisket more like baked than smoked. Sides were okay. Sausage is good, but isn't smoky. But there is a really nice meat market here if you plan on buying some meat to cook at home.
