MY REVIEW: This was my first visit to Luna's ever. I went on a Sunday for lunch and was not that impressed. I swear I only saw my waitress once. She took my food order and that was the only time I saw her. Drink order, drinks delivery, chips and salsa delivery, food delivery and when I got my check were by different people. The chips and salsa were really good. I ordered the Acapulco dinner which had the greasiest taco I have ever seen. Grease was dripping out of it when I picked it up. The enchilada seemed a little too dry but the rice, beans, con queso puff and guacamole were excellent. Like I said it was my first time so I can not really judge the place but, for a first impression it wasn't that great.

MY REVIEW: Yes, their margaritas are good and strong and their food is tasty as well but.....

The staff is rude! After our last trip there, I swore I would never go back. We went in for a late lunch. I don't know if the staff was tired and ready for lunch service to be over but we were treated like we were a bother. If this had been the first time we got that vibe, I would just pass it off as a bad day but we have consistently been unhappy with the way we are treated by the staff.

I'm kinda sorry I swore off the place because the margaritas really are yummy and go straight to your head!

MY REVIEW: We eat at Luna's quite often and enjoy sitting in the bar area. I must say that over the last few months service has declined considerably. Whether or not it is busy does not matter service is horrible. Once someone finally takes your order you may not get chips until after your meal. We have started sitting in the main dining area to see if the service was better and the first experience went well but literally every time since then it takes way too long for anyone to acknowledge we are sitting there. Our order is rarely right and the lack of "service" is becoming more and more disappointing. We would go up the road but the margarita's here are great and we keep hoping the next time it will get better. Almost ready to quit going though. Note: Please bus your tables, please acknowledge your guests, please make sure you have the order right before you walk away, please don't disappear into eternity while we are waiting for our check.

MY REVIEW: Clean. Usually full, but no long waits ever. Has great food, great service, and absolutely WONDERFUL margaritas! No more than one if you're driving though! I allow my husband that privilege while I have two margaritas and must limit it to that if I intend to walk, not be carried, out the door! I moved here from the Texas/Mexico border and I'd rather eat at Luna's in Friendswood than any restaurant on either side of the river there.

MY REVIEW: Strong Points - Margaritas, large portions, service.

we allways get the queso alaparilla appetizer and two frozen margaritas. That's plenty enough for both of us and with a 20% tip comes to 20.00$. Service has allways been great and the opening chips and dips are great too!

Bad Points - I allmost hate to mention anything bad, but the other night I got an order of the flour tortillas, green sauce and chips to go. The only thing bad was that all the chips were busted up to much smaller sized pieces. I just won't get t heir chips anymore and they were too costly for the amount anyway!

MY REVIEW: My family LOVES Luna's. Humberto (Papa) knows our family and serves us well. If he has a table available we always sit in his service area. He knows to bring us Chili-con-queso before we even ask!

Luna's has great fajitas. We love their hot sauce and chips too.

MY REVIEW: Great service (ask for Daniel)! Great food (Parillo Trio is my favorite- fajita steak, chicken breast, spicy grilled shrimp). Most of the specialty meals are very good (I haven't tried all of them, yet). The regular margaritas are great (have a designated driver if you drink more than two); and, the specialty drinks aren't bad, either. Prices are very reasonable!

MY REVIEW: I used to frequent with Luna's quite a bit until my last visit. There was an extremely obnoxious (and might I add DRUNK!) woman there telling the whole restaurant about her life, but that was not the worst of it... Every other word coming out of her mouth was a cuss word. A couple dining close to us asked if someone could tell the lady to quiet down but no one did anything. There were kids all around her and she obviously did not care. Another thing was that I asked for a Dr. Pepper, and they gave me Diet Coke. When I told them, they replaced my drink with yet another Diet Coke!

Like a previous reviewer said, the initial service is slow. The food is delicious, but sometimes the chips they bring out with their salsa is stale. I will continue to go back, but not as often as I used to.

MY REVIEW: LOVE Lunas! I go here at least a couple of times a month and will continue to do so - great service, ambiance, especially on Friday nights... Saturdays's a little dead - I have found their Margaritas to be the best in the area of Friendswood - cant beat!! Food is yummy and VERY inexpensive!

Keep it up Lunas!!

MY REVIEW: I have been a customer of Luna's in Texas City for a great number of years. Myself and friends eat at Luna's at least once a week. On our last visit, which was Saturday, July 8th, we finished the free salsa they brought and asked for more. We do eat a lot of salsa, but nothing has ever been said about it before. We had worked all morning and had driven seven miles to get to Luna's, so my friend said she was ready to go. The manager came by the table and asked how everything was. We told him fine, When our waitress brought our check she told us that we would not be getting any extra salsa from now on , because we didn't finish the last bowl, and wasted it,she said that if we ordered extra from now on we would be charged for it. I was so embarassed and it really hurt my feelings that they would treat us that way, when we go out of our way and drive past three other mexican food restauratns to go eat there. I know at other mexican food restaurnats they automatically come by and refill the salsa, you don't even have to ask for it. Waht I really hate is that they lost at least five good customers because I wasted part of a bowl of salsa. I could not believe after eating there all these years, that they would treat us this way over a little bit of salsa. At least we won't have to worry about being embarrassed by them again, as we will no longer be a customer.

MY REVIEW: Very reliable food. New seafood and chicken dishes are especially good. Reliably good service. Enough vegetarian choices. Ordinary Tex-Mex food like quesedillas, refried beans and rice are not particularly good. Their own specialities are the best offerings.

MY REVIEW: STRONG POINTS: Great looking restaurant, outstanding fajita's(both beef & chicken), very good other food items(tacos al carbon, enchiladas, chips & salsa

WEAK POINTS: Initial service to the table is usually somewhat slow, service by most wait staff is slow(a few are very good-but only a few). Stopped doing their online coupons after a month. Their comment when asked why was that people were copying them. Duh - you can print as many as you want online.

My wife and I dined here twice a week after they opened using the coupons. Since they cancelled the coupons, we only go once every two weeks.

MY REVIEW: I went to eat at lunas when they first opened and it was really busy, they had new employees and the service was not as great. But this past month I had to go because it was one of my friends birthday party and it was great. They have improved sooo much. The employees are nice, the hostess greeted me at the door, the waiter was funny and caring, we got our food really fast, the food was great and to top it all off they had mariachis that night. It's great, we have mariachis in our own town. That was the best birthday ever for my friend. Thanks Lunas!!! Keep up the good work.

MY REVIEW: Luna's is one of my favorite places to eat.I've never had any complaints with the place until now! We went for lunch today and we were seated right away, we looked over our menu's and knew exactly what we wanted. We put down our menu's and I remarked how strange it was that we had'nt been greeted or our drink order taken! We waited and watched as people around us were being served. WE still waited and not one person waited on us! We decided to go to the bar we walked in there and the place for us to sit was covered with dirty dishes and glasses. The bartender did not acknowlege us either. We went back to our table and waited. I then went to the hostess, and told her we needed a waitress she just said ok. A few minutes later the hostess came to us and asked if we were being waited on? (menu's still on table!) We told her NO. She then asked a waitress to take our order the waitress looked at us and went into the kitchen she came out with a serving tray and proceeded to clean off the table next to us! After being there for about 25- 30 minutes we got up and left! Very dissapointed. We headed to EL T*oro where we promtly grreeted and served. I know this was my first bad experience there But, We will think twice about going back there for a while. The old place was soooo much better

MY REVIEW: Strong points.....happy hour, good margarita's, good break and some ambiance.

Weak points.......Menudo on weekends ...very bad. To much grease...did not trim any fat off of tripe/menudo. Pozole and menudo were very dark after cooking, didn't look good....and did not have a very good taste. Left 2/3 of the bowl and the waiter did not ask what was wrong with the meal. I didn't want to complain out right but I make a mistake not to say anythning. I will not ask for this entree again....but be back for margaritas and nachos.

MY REVIEW: I have eaten at Luna's several times, in the old and new building. Normally, the food is great. The service has not been the best but, tolorable. However, recently the service has greatly discouraged me. I called to make a reservation for my Birthday party, the party being 15-20 people. The hosttess that answered my phone call stated that Luna's does not take reservations on Friday and Saturday nights. I told her that the party had already been arranged and there were several people that were going to be attending and that i didn't want them to have to wait to eat. She refused and offered no suggestions. I then asked to speak to a manager and she placed me on hold. I sat on hold on the phone for at least 30min. with no one ever answering. I eventually just hung up. Again, the service has never been perfect but i had to ask myself... if the service is going to be this bad over phone, well then i better find another place to throw my birthday party. Luna's loss!!

MY REVIEW: I have been dining at Luna's since it opened...I have even had a few of those birthday photos with the fried ice cream all over my face hanging by the door. In the past month, things have started to slip. The food is still good, but the service has been TERRIBLE the last couple of times I've been. On my last visit, it took 40 minutes to get 2 plates of fajitas...and we had to look at 2 nasty unbussed tables the ENTIRE time we were there. Like our fajitas, the manager was no where to be found. When he finally came out of the back, he looked like he had been taking a nap. He said he would make sure our food arrived ASAP and that the table were clean. It still took another 15 minutes to get our food and we ate it looking at DITRY TABLES...they were never cleaned. Last week, I ordered 2 plates of fajitas ToGo. The girl at the counter went through my bag and assured me everything was there. I got home and had no tortillas. I will not be going back to Luna's. Don't let the fancy building fool you!!

MY REVIEW: just moved to a new building and it is probably the nicest reataurant environment in baytown now. food has always been decent. menu has been greatly expanded. service is almost annoyingly attentive, but it shows they are trying to up the ante in a town where they act like they are doing you a favor if they get your order half right at t*aco bell and m*cdonalds. portions are ample and the presentaion is good. only one real complaint; rice and beans which are usually an afterthought suffer from just that. they are nothing more than bland ,flavorless filler.the atmosphere is very pleasant and I plan to revisit and try some of the new items.

MY REVIEW: The first resturant I visited since moving to Friendswood...the food was ok. It isn't something that stands out to you, but it's good. I think it's about average to standard with other mexican resturants like N*ifas. Nice atmosphere, not a bad place for your money.

MY REVIEW: We always have good food here. Mixed fajitas for two or the Tour of Mexico are all you need. Wait staff is usually very courteous and prompt. The magaritas will catch up with you fast, just like was mentioned before! I've only had room once or twice to try the sopapillas (sp?) and they were great also. We always sit outside - it's just better out there. Haven't been disappointed yet!

MY REVIEW: First visit. Nice atmosphere, excellent service, very good food. Had the Tour of Mexico. First a small queso, then a plate of quesadillas, fried cheese filled jalapenos, and some-other pseudo-flauta chicken& cheese filled thing (don't know the name), with guac and sour cream. Then 2 beef burritos and rice / beans on 2 plates. Then Fajitas for 2. We got mixed fajitas, and the chicken was extremely good. All for $17.95. Kids ate off of us -- we didn't need kids meals!

Very friendly staff. Good food. Nice alternative for us as it is out of the way, but we'll definitely be back!

If you like G*ringo's (my favorie, still) or Johnny T*amale's (G*ringo's family in-laws) -- you 'll probably like this very much. We went on a Friday at 7:30, and there was no wait. Last available table inside, but no wait.

They also have a nice patio on both sides of the front doors, and people were eating out there too. Would be wonderful in the fall and spring.

MY REVIEW: You talk about mexican food this is the place, great food and great service. We visit Luna's once a week. Luna's have the best MARGARITA'S, but we careful they sneak up on you fast. If your in the area give it a try. The food diffently beats G*ringo's. You won't be disappointed.
