MY REVIEW: More Mexican food than Cuban? Why is it called Havana Latin Grill instead of Mexico City Latin Grill? Cubans do not eat quesadillas, chips and salsa. And a band that doesn't play Salsa/Mambo music? Not authentic at all

MY REVIEW: I went to Havana yesterday and I was completely blown away by their food. It was my second time for their happy hour's. My first visit was on the 13th of this month. Yesterday was the best between the two. The band played great! Great food, I wad the Cuban Sandwich! Try the Quesadillas, too! Delicious. Drinks were great! People were dancing while the band played and it wasn't the type of dance floor where one is intimidated by couples. It was a great atmosphere. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the atmosphere at Havana and they just had great service. I will definitely go back and tell my friends about Havana's comeback!

MY REVIEW: Several of us went to Havana Latin Grill and Bar after work for a small happy hour. Pros:they had a free buffet that was suitable for the occasion (quesadillas, chips, queso, salsa)and inexpensive drinks. Cons: Very limited Beer Selection, the mojitos were a bit weak, and the live band they had there did not play any salsa, only Lonely Boys type stuff. Since the reason we went out was to fulfill a mojito craving and dance some salsa, we figured a place named Havana Latin Grill would provide it to us. However, they were not able to deliver on any of this and we left a bit dissapointed. It seemed like a nice place to go, however, I will only go back to hit the buffet, drink either Dos Equis or Miller Lite (those were the only two choices offered), and then head off to another place that has salsa and real mojitos.

MY REVIEW: Before Havana's use to be called B*ongo's. They had great service and excellent food. Last year I went to Havana's Downtown Houston location twice and each time I swore I'd never go back and both for the same reason as today. It took the waitress approximately 20 minutes to bring our soft drinks. We ordered plantains as an appetizer and they were served approximately 30 minutes after our drinks were served. We waited another 20 minutes since we were on a 1 hour lunch break and our food never got to our table. I called the waitress and she told me to hold on. Very bad service, whether or not the food is still good, couldn't tell you because we never got it!

MY REVIEW: Excellent service, the waiter was very friendly and recommended great choices of soup (shrimp and corn chowder) fantastic, and the Havanna salad with a sweet vinagarette dressing is worth the stop and made us go back the next night. During happy hour there are free appetizers which add a great addition to your meal. If not for the other great restaurants in Houston, we would stop again and again.
ENJOY!!

MY REVIEW: I have to agree with everyone else who said the service is horrible. I had a really slow waitress the first time I visited. It took forever for our orders to be taken, even longer for the food to get there, and no apology or explanation for the delays. The food was just OK. The atmosphere was pretty loud and stressfull.
I decided to give it a second shot not too long ago, and sadly, it was the same thing. Lousy service, but the food was much better. Still no apology or explaination for the slow service.
I gave them two chances. There will not be a third.

MY REVIEW: TERRIBLE SERVICE. We had a group of 8, and although some groups can be rowdy and unrelenting, we were polite and helpful so I really don't understand what went so wrong. Although the restaurant was empty, there was only one waitress who barely seemed trained enough to do the job. It was like she was avoiding us. When the food finally came, she forgot an order and when I reminded her, she ran off without a word. 20 minutes later, without stopping by once to refill drinks or check on our table, she returned with the forgotten fajitas and NEVER APOLOGIZED OR EXPLAINED. At this point, we were leaving and needing the check. I was so angry, I asked for the manager who was hiding out in her office. I explained what had occurred and asked that the forgotten order be deleted from our check. One good moment; she deleted the order AND subtracted 20% from the overall check.

MY REVIEW: Absolutely lousy service. I took my wife to dinner there for valentines and it took almost 15 minutes for us to get our initial drinks. Took another 30 minutes to get our dinner and then to top it off, we had to ask for drink refills 3 times, despite our glasses sitting on the table empty. We had to go to the bar and get someone to come and take our credit card to pay the bill after waiting another 20 or so minutes. No excuse for this, the place was practically empty, so they can't use they were busy excuse.
