MY REVIEW: Fleming's came highly recommended. So much so, that I selected Fleming’s as the place to take my wife for our anniversary. The place was everything I was told it would be. Our appetizer was to die for and the salads were good enough to be a meal. But then the steaks came. My steak was ordered medium rare and my wife’s steak ordered medium. I received a perfect medium steak and my wife received what could be best described as an overdone medium-well steak. I brought this to the attention of our waiter who quickly ordered my wife another steak. It wasn’t long until the new steak arrived, a perfectly undercooked medium-rare steak that was slightly charred on the outside ( a sign the cook rushed the steak on a very hor grill – rookie mistake ). We finished my steak and enjoyed our remaining side dishes. I think it was the manager who stopped by to apologize for the error. I thanked him for his concern and informed him that, in my opinion, his steak chef did not have his “A” game this evening. I asked the waiter for the check and never game him the opportunity to offer desert. When the bill came, we were informed the manager had not charged us for my wife’s steak and again apologized for the error. I appreciate the quick attention by both the waiter and the manager to our issue. And while I do understand mistakes will happen, I am less tolerant when the restaurant is slow, with fewer than 12 customers in the place. Our next fine dinning steak experience will probably be elsewhere. Our second trip to Fleming's will focus on the awsome appetizers, salad, and side dishes.

MY REVIEW: We've been to other Fleming's locations but this was our 1st visit to the Woodlands and we were very impressed. We were celebrating our Anniversary and everyone wished us well. Our server Sabrina was great! And all the other employees were very friendly.
The food was amazing! My husband had crab cakes to start out. I'm not a big fan of crab cakes but thought they were very tastey. We both had the 12oz filet, medium well, butterflied. They were the best we've had in a long time, cooked perfectly! We shared onion rings and they were good as always. Of course we couldn't go without the chocolate lava cake - it's to die for! For our Anniversary, we were sent home with 4 chocolate covered strawberries - compliments of the chef.
We had a wonderful Anniversary dinner and would definitely go back! We drove from League City and it's worth every drop of gas and battling traffic.

MY REVIEW: It was our anniversary and we decided to go somewhere special. Although pricey... we feel it was worth it. My wife called and made the reservation without any problems and they inquired if it was a special occasion and they learned it was our anniversary. Upon arriving, we were immediately congratulated on our anniversary as we were throughout the evening. We found the atmosphere inside was really tasteful and beautiful with rich accents. The food was excellent. My wife had a Red Snapper "special" and I had the 12 ounce filet mignon steak with the baked potato. The baked potato was huge and my wife and I ended up sharing it. She had a salad ( Fleming's salad) and I had the broccoli soup. All were cooked to absolute perfection and were huge servings!!! The restaurant gave us a special dessert for our anniversary (free) which was not expected but made the evening that much more special. With a glass of wine each, the bill was $125.00 ( before tip). I found it well worth the price and we will be back. Our waiter was "Zach" and he was excellent and very attentive. This restaurant is first class. We went to P*appas Steak House last month (spent about the same amount )and this was many times better.

MY REVIEW: Flemings Is the place to eat, drink and have a good time. The Service staff is prompt but, they don't tend to rush you so you can have an enjoyable night. The Filet was to die for it melted in your mouth, the baked potato was really big that I could split it with my husband. To top the night the Lava cake was really really good. The wine list was extensive and the management was really helpful and polite. I would encouraged everyone to go to Flemings at least once and see what the fuss is about because you will not be disappointed.

MY REVIEW: Love the staff at this restaurant. From the moment you walk in you feel like you are the only person dining. We took our daughter and a friend and they felt like princesses. Her friend had never cut her own steak and was surprised that she could do it herself with a fork. The manager took my husband and myself on a tour of the wine cellar (impressive) on our first visit and we always end the evening with the delicious "LAVA CAKE" great choice, will def come back again and again.

MY REVIEW: I have dined at this establishment several times and I've never been disappointed. The food is wonderful and the service is outstanding. The staff is attentive to all of your needs and do a good job blending in, allowing you to enjoy your evening. The wine selection is one of the best I've seen! I've read other post on here and I must say the noise has never bothered me. I will definitely be back and will continue to be a frequent guest, Flemings knows how to take care of their guests.

MY REVIEW: Probably my first and last visit. Even though I live in The Woodlands, I will probably make the trip to Taste of Texas as it has MUCH better 1) food, 2) ambiance (albeit in a different genre), and 3) prices/value. The four of us spent a $600 evening their with one bottle of wine and 2 drinks each. The steaks were fine, but nothing exceptional for the price. Their website makes you think you will be eating the nectar of the gods - no chewing necessary as it will melt in your mouth! "Fleming" is also the "F." in "P.F. Chang's" and if you didn't know that, you would once you've been there. The decor is right out of the same archetect's portfolio (look at the ceiling in both places and you will see what I mean). And NOISY does not begin to describe it. We had a corner booth and I couldn't hear the person across from me all night. However, if you want some good $15 onion rings this is the place... and the wine list is extensive and very good if you know what you are doing.
The high point was the service, which was SUPER, right down to the busboy. Timing for taking our order, replacing our drinks, giving us information, bringing our meals, clearing the table, etc. was PERFECT.

MY REVIEW: We dined there on our anniversay last night. We wanted to pick a place close to home in the Woodlands, and this was one of the few fine dining restaurants here that we hadn't yet been to. It will probably be our last. We should have heeded some of the earlier reviewer's comments below.
When we first arrived at the hostess' station she asked if we were celebrating an occasion. Probably standard protocol. We replied it's our anniversary and she made a note of that. Assumed it was something the wait staff would somehow use later.
On entering the main dining area it gives a very pleasant visual appeal, dark rich wood tones, subdued lighting. But, you're simultaneously struck by the noise.
The place is very LOUD, extremely noisy. We couldn't hear the server when he was speaking or asking questions, had to keep asking him to repeat. (It didn't help that the server was also speaking very fast and mecahnically) To hear each other my wife and I had to move to adjacent chairs at the corner of the table and lean toward one another instead of seating across from one another.
The server also was rather curt throughout the meal. We don't expect and don't want servers to become our "friends" as so many of them try to do, we just want pleasant, efficient service. But this guy acted as if we were inanimate objects. The service was efficient and timely though.
Ah, the food. The food was perfect, absolutely perfect. I started with the spinach and portobello salad which was large enough to be a meal in itself. The red onion balsamic was the best I've had. Her Fleming's salad was also very large and she said delicious. My New Zealand king salmon fillet with grilled asparagus were perfect, as was her tuna mignon and sauteed mushrooms. Nothing but compliments for the food.
As for the earlier anniversary question, it was never brought up again. Puzzling. Not disappointing, since it wasn't part of what we'd expected. But still puzzling.
Food = perfect. Service = sub-par for the type restaurant. Environment = AWFUL!
Overall we were disappointed because the extreme loudness was the single dominating factor of the whole evening. $153.83, with bottle of wine and tip.

MY REVIEW: I go there on Sundays to treat myself after a hard week. This is my spot for self-indulgence and pampering that I deserve after being on the other side of service for the week. (I also work at a top-notch steakhouse in town), but we are not open on Sundays - so Flemings it is.
The wine selection is unbelievable, and my regular Filet/Lobster meal is divine. I go every week, and the $ is not an issue because of the fine meal, and the fact that I am never rushed. The food is perfect always, and the service couldn't be better. I am about to head out there (live in Kingwood) right now.

MY REVIEW: Excellent food, of course. However, the noise was overwhelming! They sat us next to a party of about 15 people who yelled to each other. We could not carry on a coversation. The manager acted like there was no problemm when we complained. We will not go back, as the noise is obviously a frequent problem based on the comments of others above. They need to limit party sizes to about 6 in the main dining room; the acoustics are not good. This could be a very good dining establishment if the noise problem was fixed.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I live in The Woodlands and try to dine at Fleming's at least once a month and have never had a disappointing dinner. Our favorite waiter, Thomas, is wonderful and we ask for him when we make a reservation. I'm sure the other waitstaff are just as good, but we enjoy being served by him. We also prefer a booth and have always been accomodated. When we want to relax at the bar with a cocktail before dinner, the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable.
Upon entering the restaurant, the greeting from the hostesses has been the beginning of a very delightful evening. We have never had to wait for our table. From the quiet service of the bus boys to the ending of the meal, we have never had a reason to complain. The manager and/or chef will often come by to say "hello" and ask our if we are enjoying our dinner.
Thomas is friendly, cheerful and a wonderful waiter; he knows the wine list and can suggest a different wine that we may want to try. He gives a good description of the dinner specials for the evening and also has helpful comments about the menu.
The service and food is excellent! My husband prefers the ahi tuna which is cooked to perfection. I try different entrees and have never been disappointed.
The complimentary hors d'oeuvre is a nice touch; the steaks are cooked to our liking, the vegetables are fresh, and the desserts are fantastic.
What more can I say ... this is our favorite restaurant, be it for steak, fish, or any other entree. You will not be disappointed!!

MY REVIEW: The chilean Sea Bass is awesome! Great wine selection. We toured the wine celler. People are great. Had a business meeting in a private room on upper level and it was fantastic. If you are planning to go there with a large group you need to ask for a private room. This will be very private without the noise from main dining area.

MY REVIEW: This was a fairly important dinner as it was part of "Meet The Parents" weekend. We were a party of six: bride, groom and parents. The earliest reservation we could get was 8:30 P.M. We were seated in the middle of the room, three across from three at a table far too wide for comfortable conversation with the person seated across under the best of circumstances.
The noise level made us all completely miserable. We didn't care about the food. We all just wanted to eat and get out of there so that we could stop struggling to hear each other. Consider yourself warned. Don't trust an important evening to this place.

MY REVIEW: We were engaged at Flemmings in November last year! Everything was great. We were going to sit on the patio, but it was too chilly, so the waiter promptly found us a spot inside. Everyone was so nice. The food was excellent. I had a beautiful salad with candied pecans and cranberries. Delicious! The salmon was tender, juicy and the serving portion was just right. My fiance had the steak and potatoes (a real man!). He enjoyed it tremendously. Everything from the wine to dessertt was fabulous! The atmosphere was quiet enough to be romantic and busy enough so people couls see me get a 'sparkling' proposal! Definately a great restuarant!

MY REVIEW: This was our first visit to Flemings. We have dined at other fine steak houses in the Houston area and I also grill an excellent steak at home so we know fine food and service. My wife and I made a reservation on a Tues. night. We were greeted at the door by two young ladies that quickly confirmed our reservation and then seated us in the main dining area which was quite noisy. Noisy enough that at times it was hard to hear all of what the server was saying. I did notice booths along the wall and a few areas of the dining room that would offer a more quiet atmoshpere.
Anyway we were immediately greeted at the table by who I think was the wine director to take our drink order. Me not taking the time to go over the wine list she suggested a blend; that sounded good so I left it to her. She came back with an excellent glass of cabernet-merlot for me and a diet coke for my wife. No more than two minutes later our waitress arrived to go over the specials and such then left us to go over the menu. When we were ready to order she was right there. We both ordered 16 ounce ribeyes, Fleming salad, Fleming potatoes, and sauteed mushrooms. I requested the mushrooms two minutes before our meal was ready, no problem, it came out with the rest of our order. The steaks were cooked perfect. My medium rare and my wife's medium well came out just right. The meat did not have the jump out and grab you seasoning or flavor of a robust marinade that Im used to but were very tender and very good still. The cut was generous and trimmed of excess fat. Some fat did remain but is characteristic of prime beef. The potatoes were very good, the mushrooms very good. After dinner we had Chocolate Lava Cake that was made and timed to come out a couple of minutes after we finished the main meal. I also enjoyed a Fleming's 52 coffee that had the right balance of Baileys and other tasty stuff in it. My wife's decaf was superb. The lava cake was great!
Service and presentation were polished ranking with the best that I have experienced. A manager type person checked in with us making sure all was going well. This man knows his business, gently flowing between kitchen and dining room, at one point stopping at a table across from us to re-fill water glasses and pouring wine for a waiter that was momentarily abscent. The entire wait staff was very attentive but not intrusive. Yes, the dining room on this night was noisy with a happy crowd. We were right there with them- uncramped, impressed, smiling, leaving a 20 percent tip with plans to return.

MY REVIEW: Attentive service, excellent food. Loved these signature potatoes. The place has an old-style "mens' club" atmosphere, lots of wood, quiet and subdued. The staff was accomodating to special requests, and the manager was very friendly. My mother is very picky about her steaks and she was completely pleased (a rarity). We will definely return next time we're in the Woodlands.

MY REVIEW: First visit!Almost,(but not quite),makes me afraid to go back for fear they will not be able to duplicate our truly outstanding dinner!I should mention that when we visit a new dining establishment I make our standards clear when making the reservation and again when we arrive.
We were escorted to our table by manager Jeremy Williams who then introduced our waiter,Thomas.Service provided by Thomas was as good as we have experienced anywhere in the world. A small point,I will not pour my own wine and Thomas never let my glass run out. From start to finish the pacing of the meal was as close to perfect as one could get.I like to start at the top of the menu and work my way down. From appetizer to dessert presentations and taste were wonderful.Ah,but the steak! Absolutely fantastic!Ranks among the very best I have ever had. There were four of us and we were there almost three hours and enjoyed a marvelous ,leisurly meal.
Can they do it again? I intend to give them the opportuity.

MY REVIEW: With Fleming's in town there is no reason to ever go to another steakhouse. Forget K*irby's and P*erry's! They should dine at Fleming's to see how it's done right. I have dined in restaurants all over the world and I have never had a steak as good as the ones I get at Fleming's. And the Fleming's potatoes I could eat for dessert they are so good. Their wine list is incredible with over 100 wines by the glass with pricepoints for everyone. I hate when I go to a restaurant and the wines offered by the glass are either crappy or very expensive. I like that I can have a $6 glass of wine or a $16 glass and it's my choice. The service is awesome from the hostesses to the buss boys refilling our water. A truly nice touch is that not only do the managers come by to make sure everything is perfect but the owner, Shelli, is always in the dining room saying hello and thanking us for coming back. We love Fleming's and it's our favorite restaurant in The Woodlands.

MY REVIEW: Incredible! Outstanding! The food was spectatular! They must have the best chefs in the city. I highly recommend the Almond Crusted Shrimp, Fleming potatoes, Flemings salad, the lava cake...it was all great. They have an unbelievable selections of wines (over 100 to choose from). The staff was the best. Very knowledgable and were always there when I needed them. If I dropped something, they were there before I could even reach for it. Excellent service from all, from the hostess, to the chefs, to the owners. When you join them for dinner, be sure to meet Shelli (one of the owners) she was always there to greet us and to make sure we were enjoying our dinner. Most pleasent dining experience, location, and view. I will most definately return.

MY REVIEW: WOW. The steaks were cooked exactly as my wife and I ordered them, and melted in your mouth. The wine list is incredible and the service has been more than perfect every time we have dined there. We love the open kitchen, it seems to add to the energy of the restaurant, but you don't hear the clanging of pots and pans. The servers are very knowledgeable about the food and the wine. We have had a different server every time we have been there. Each time the server paired our food with a great wine. We were never dissapointed.

MY REVIEW: Nestled in a corner booth by the wine room, 2 couples had a delightful dinner. We especially enjoyed the wine flights so that we could pair a different wine with each course of our meal. Loved both the Fleming's salad and Spinach salad. We were glad each couple split the salads as it gave us room for the wonderful vegetables (Flemings Potatoes, Sauted Mushrooms & sauted spinach) that followed with our steaks and fish that followed. Don't be afraid to order other than steak at this restaurant, the chef seems to equally enjoy his hand at both.

MY REVIEW: Called up asking for a table for 6 so a group of us could have a relaxing evening after being in a conference for 3 days. Flemings was happy to accommodate us. Our crowd grew, and three phone calls later we were up to a party of 14. Flemings handled the changes graciously and had our table ready when we arrived. Between us all we had a variety of items on the menu. Everything on the mixed platter of appetizers was very good, but the Salmon Bruschetta was spectatular. It was a toss up between the Fleming's Salad and the Spinach Salad for a favoite salad among our group. The veges we enjoyed included creamed spinach, sauted spinach, Flemings Potatoes, and sauted mushrooms - all delicious! Each of the steaks ordered were cooked to perfection, juicy and tender. We ordered a sampler of desserts to have a small variety of sweet treats, it was just the right amount to finish off a wonderful meal.

MY REVIEW: Now this is a steak house. The ambiance is outstanding and conducive to both business meetings and intimate dinning. From the Hostess who will hold your reservation, if you are a little late, to the knowledgeable waiters. They not only knew the specials of the day but the ingredients in most dishes. The wine list is unbelievable, over 100 wines to choose from just by the glass. The food was outstanding, and the staff did not feel they had to interrupt us but were always waiting in case we needed something. This is the place I will visit for all my special occasions and anytime I just want a good dinner, this is where you will find me.
