MY REVIEW: This place is dark & depressing. I've been afew times and each time I get sat in the bar area, which does not have servers. Your stuck with the 1 bartender/manager chick, who is so rude. Her #1 priority is making drinks for her "Regulars" (ex. my party of 3 was there for about 15mins before she ever came to the table, mind you its NOT busy, finally we ordered drinks.. about another 10 minutes goes by, an old man walks in an sits in the corner- she runs out to him gets takes his order and next thing you know she is bringing him a drink to his table. and we still haven't recieved ours that we ordered long before he even stepped foot in the resturant- We Walked Out). This was just the last straw, but it was the 4th of many bad experiences with her, and I believe she is a manager as well. I'll drive all the way down to Westheimer for Applebee's before messing this place again. Make sure you demand a seat in the dinning area-

MY REVIEW: ordered the parmesan steak and shrimp. steak medium well shouldn't bleed when you cut it. ordered the baked potato loaded and paid extra for it. someone scraped a little sour cream it; it was still very dry

MY REVIEW: We tried the 2 entrees and one appetizer for 20 bucks deal, we ordered the spinach and sheese dip and the 7 oz. steak and the chicken salad, all of which were excellent, the service was over the top too! Brian is an excellent waiter, we'll definitely go back, good food at a decent price.

MY REVIEW: Wife had steak meal and said it was good. My friend had same steak meal but asked that they not include the broccoli. The waiter asked if he would like something in its place such as rice. He asked if they would charge extra (same as last visit) and he said no. On his bill they charged an extra $1.29 for the rice. I had the chicken strips with fries and slaw. The small chicken strips were just ok (far better strips at W*hataburger and etc.). The cole slaw was delivered in the smallest bowl that I have ever seen. It must have been from a child's tea set as there was only 2 spoonfuls of slaw. Been here 4 times with as many as 4 guests but no more. I will never forget the small bowl of slaw!

MY REVIEW: This Applebees is convenient for us so we've been here quite a few times. Service has almost always been fair at best but the food is good and reliable. On this visit we had a 'waiter' who was ridiculous. We only got as far as trying to order drinks. He had no idea what beer that had - didn't know pino grigio was a wine and thought they didn't have apple juice (they do).

He had clearly never been trained and should not have even approached our table alone. We asked for the manager and when he came to the table he couldn't even speak. Even for the low standards of this Applebee's location - too much!

MY REVIEW: The food is good but we felt that we were being rushed through the meal. The waitress came back and interrupted our conversation many times although we had all our food and our drinks were full. Then the manager came over and asked the same questions. We were only there about 1-1/4 hours but we had the distinct impression that we were being hurried. I was halfway through my meal when the waitress brought me a take out container. I would almost rather be neglected a bit than be interrupted constantly. The Applebee's in Missouri City that closed down was the same way so I can only guess it might be a company policy.

MY REVIEW: I have never been impressed with the Applebee's chain, but I was very pleasantly surprised by my visit to the Tomball restaurant. I was persuaded to go by a Christmas gift card. On a rainy, cold evening, I was greeted warmly, had an excellent waitress, and a very short wait for hot and delicious food. I had a small steak with a shrimp parmesan topper, a baked potato and steamed veggies. Everything was fresh, the steak tender, the shrimp flavorful. I definitely will give it another try! The only thing that would improve the entree is complimentary rolls or bread. I especially appreciated the staff and their promptness. The disgruntled staff at C*hil*s could learn a lesson from these people.

MY REVIEW: We hate going to this place. Service was horrible and the reason we kept going was because we always thought that next time it would be better and we were wrong. The food was always cold and the staff was too busy trying to accomodate everyone that they didn't provide good customer service. Never going back again.

MY REVIEW: I was greeted by the very best host possible a young lady with a very pretty smile named Amy. We were shown to are seats and our sever came rite away to get are drink orders. The service was fast and nice. We had the feesta lime chicken and it was great we also has the perfect margarieta. I will go again for sure!

MY REVIEW: We have not eaten at any Applebee's in several years when we decided to try their burgers. We tried their new Fire Pit Bacon Burger (Topped with pepper-Jack cheese and Applewood smoked bacon on a toasted bakery bun smothered with a smoky chipotle spread. Served with lettuce, tomato, and onion) and their Cowboy Burger (Topped with a crunchy onion ring, honey BBQ sauce, Jack & cheddar cheeses and Applewood smoked bacon on a toasted bun. Served with lettuce, tomato, and onion).

The new Fire Pit Burger did NOT come as advertised - while supposedly smothered with a distinctive "smoky chipotle spread" it in fact consisted of about 1/4 teaspoon of sauce on the center of each bun. The lack of spread resulted in a "dry" burger requiring additional ketchup and mustard - making it more like a tradtional American-style burger. The Cowboy Burger did come as advertised with about 1/3 cup BBQ sauce served on the side (although I only noticed the flavor of the cheddar cheese and not the Jack cheese). Both burgers came with a skimpy ring or two of red onion (why so skimpy?) and way too much lettuce. The Applewood smoked bacon was very thin (not thick like Chil*s) and not very smoky.

Bottom line: Better than average Cowboy Burger w/ plenty of BBQ sauce and a decent American-style burger that was NOT what was advertised. If we return we may ask for the distinctive "smoky chiptle spread" to be served on the side as the Cowboy Burger's BBQ sauce was. The Fire Pit Burger was not worth the price as served.

MY REVIEW: We had been to this locations several times, though 8 or so months ago, and always had good experiences. However, I was hesitant to go after reading some of the negative reviews posted here for other locations. We're so glad that we went. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our waitress, Chelsea, was terrific - knowledgeable, polite, personable, and attentive. We actually asked for the manager to compliment her - a first for us! Okay, R*ainbow Lodge it is not, but it was nearly 9 p.m., and we wanted something light and quick, but not fast food. It was nice to be able to order 1/2 portions of salads - California shrimp and chicken caesar - both good, and have room for the 'shooter' sized chocolate mousse desserts. .

MY REVIEW: We have tried picking up dinner here a few times as it is so close to our house, however, we have never had a good experience. Our orders inevitably take a long time and are wrong when we get it home. The food is also cold though we live right down the street and it never takes longer than 3 minutes to get it home. I would certainly not recommend this location to anyone that lives in our area. I haven't had much experience with other locations so I don't know if it is a problem with the chain or just the management/staff.

MY REVIEW: I've eaten at Applebee's a few times but always thought it was average at best. Sort of a knock off of another chain. Every time I've been to this location some has always go wrong either with the service or food. Well my son suggested it since we where in the area so stopped in. What a mistake! We (4 of us) were seated promptly, but that was the high point. After browsing the menu for about 5 minutes we finally stopped the girl that seated us and asked if we could order our drinks now. After a good 10 minutes, no one had bother to come to our table at all! We finally just all got up the leave and never even saw a single waiter/busboy/greeters or anyone on the way out. In fact the front was just packed with people who had arrived still talking on cell phones, with their kids running loose.

Bottom line is that we were in there over 15 minutes and not a single waiter/manager or anyone bother to even check on us.

I'll never step foot into another Applebees any where after that. In fact I should be writing the corporate office since I think we were a little too Republican for their clientele/staff.

MY REVIEW: Was like a throw back in time with the smoke filled building. We had to wait an hour and a half in a entry way right near the bar where you couldn't even see the person standing next to you was because of all the smoke.It was pouring outside so after about 45 minutes we would rather have gotten soaking wet than have second hand smoke invade out bodies. Then even though we asked for a non-smoking table we were taken to a table in the bar and we refused so tat said if we did that we would have to put our name back on the bottom of the waiting list. SO we ate in the smoky bar area where the waitress didn't even see us there and our water glasses only were filled when we took then to the bar to have them refilled. Needless to say we will NEVER visit Applebee's again. Happy Valentine's day to us, Yeah Right

MY REVIEW: With all the nagative reviews people have left I can tell no one was sitting in the bar area! If you sit in the bar area they have the best bar tender, Nick. He takes care of you gets everything you need but doesnt bother you. I usually order the cajun lime tilapia, which is seasoned perfectly, but this past time Nick recommened the south west chicken roll up, and it was just as good. Applebees isnt a five star restaurant by any means but it is a sure place to go to relax, have a great meal, great drinks, and excellent service.

ps - i have never heard rap music play in this place. i know the management would not allow it.
