MY REVIEW: Service was bad. Rough crowd eating there. food was just ok. Not everyone likes rap music. Easy listing music would be better for a restaurant. Have not, and will not be back.

MY REVIEW: We took the family to Applebee’s because of the great commercials My husband 3 kids ( all teenagers) and myself. There wasn't a big table available so I mention that we could set in separate tables but close together. Hostess didn't have a problem. “She said great". Once we were seated two servers came over and one started argueing saying we were sitting at two different sections. The other older server said if we would like to move. I said no this is fine. The younger girl said I'm not going to deal with this and threw her hand up and walked off. Needless to say I was very upset at this point. She came back ask my kid what they wanted to drink in a very rude voice. Then brought the drinks back and slammed them on the table. I asked her if there was problem. She rudely said ( NO BUT I Don’t know how we are going to do the ticket. Then walked off

Manager offered to pay for our appetizers. By then I was to upset. I just asked for my ticket and left. We went to C*hili's and had great service.

Worse service I have ever had.... will never eat there again.

MY REVIEW: First, and last visit. We were treated to lunch by my sweet, elderly MIL; it was also her first time to try Applebee's. Our grilled shrimp salad entrees had tough room temp lettuce and every piece of avocado was brown. The shrimp was small and tough. Most unappealing. It had taken 25 minutes to get two salads and a burger, so I suspect the salads were under hot lights while the burger cooked. The hamburger my husband got was ok and came with a a few tasty onion rings, although he had a beg for some raw onions for his burger. There was one lettuce leaf. If we hadn't been with my MIL, I would've sent my salad back.

Yuk. Applebee's was exactly what I thought it would be.

MY REVIEW: I watch the Applebee's commercials on tv and go in expecting a great meal, and each time I am disappointed and feel like I just threw money away. Once again, I tried again. I ordered one of the steaks and ordered it medium, it arrived so well done and hard as a brick, and tough. No flavor, either. The salad was ok, potato was fair. The waitstaff was attentive. I spent the rest of the evening wishing I had gone somewhere else.

MY REVIEW: I was in town from Alaska, on business. I dont believe to have ever eaten at an Applebee's. I decided to step in for a drink an meal. It was a friday night and seemed to be pretty busy. I sat in the bar area. To my suprise i was taken care of really fast. The girl got my drinks super fast was very polite. my spicy chicken was excellent. The manager if i remember correctly was Mike. he came out talked for a minute, asked how the meal was. I enjoyed my experience at Applebees, and will return when ever i get the opertunity.. Great job guys keep up the good work....

MY REVIEW: This was a complete waste of my time. First of all, we had to wait 10 minutes for our drinks, and then another 20 minutes for our food. We all ordered soups and sandwiches. None of the salads had dressing on them or on the side. The sandwiches were small and bland.

Don't waste your time with this place. I know I never will again.

MY REVIEW: We have eaten here many times and it was good, but, since I-Hop bought this restaurant, the food is awful, I ordered riblets, came out fried without barbecue sauce, and the steaks are never cooked to your order. The steaks tasted awful, the riblets are huge, at one time very small and delicious, big is not better, the manager stated they were out of barbecue sauce and it was his fault, I guess that was suppose to make it ok, prices are high , food is bad, I was never so disgusted, we will never go back. this place has no strong points since I-Hop bought them. The shrimp looked like it was bought breaded & frozen at the grocery store and stuck in a Microwave to heat.

MY REVIEW: Had a terrible dining experience. Silverware was dirty and it took two tries to get another set. Waitress did not care about us. Spent time chatting with others and would walk past us. Food was way overpriced and our steak dinner consisted of a couple of summer squash slices with 1 baby carrot and a couple of leaves of something. The baked potato came with blob of sourcream and nothing else. It was barely warm. The steak was tasteless, tough and lacking it everything you would want to experience in eating a piece of steak. No bread or rolls, no butter, no service. After complaining, the manager contacted me and offered us a free meal. When we decided to take him up on it, he backed off the offer and said he would call back in 20 minutes. I'm still waiting 6 weeks later. WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER GO TO ANOTHER APPLEBEE'S NOR WILL I RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE EITHER. Houston has way too many other good places to spend my dining out funds.

MY REVIEW: Met two friends at the Applebee's at 290 and Hwy 6/FM1960 for lunch. The food was good, the service was good, only negative was the time lag in getting drinks from bar. I remember Applebee's first incarnation farther south on Highway 6 a few years ago and this is light years better. Although that is probably comparing apples to oranges - lol.

MY REVIEW: This Appleby's is close to my home so I thought I would give it a shot for lunch. How much could go wrong with tomato soup and an oriental chicken salad (supposedly their specialty, at least according to the menu)? Well, there was NOTHING right about the entire visit.

First, it took 25 minutes to get the lunch, for which nothing had to be cooked to order. Then the soup: heavy and gluey with thickener, and studded with what appeared to be pieces of the peel from ginger root--fibrous, unchewable, and disgusting. So I turned to the salad. The piece of chicken I tried tasted a little off, so I tried a lettuce leaf. Unfortunately, they had neglected to put the dressing on the salad, so it was just a naked lettuce leaf. Then I looked closer at the lettuce, and most of the pieces were brown around the edges. This was a simple, simple meal and every single thing about it was done wrong. The manager tried to stop me on my way out with an offer to "make things right." I told him that there were too many restaurants in Houston that served good food the first time around for me to waste any more time in his restaurant. I would never go back to this or any Appleby's. They make M*acDonald's look great in comparison.

MY REVIEW: All I can say is everything about this location is horrible. We waited 25 minutes to order our food. When we finally got our food, it was cold. We summoned a manager, Mr. Medina who to say the least, was argumentive and defensive. He needs to go back for additional attitude training. I will never go to that location again. Come to think of it..Applebee's is not that great so I will not waste my time or money going to any of their locations.

MY REVIEW: This was my first visit in years to an Applebee's. Every one I had been to was a dissappointment, but I thought I would try again since all the advertising began about their new menu. It was still not very good. I could have done better at home. I had a grilled chicken sandwich on a type of herb ciabatta bread. The bread was not good at all and had a taste that clashed with the rest of the sandwich. Service was ok. We went on a Sunday around 11am, the place was not busy, but the waitress passed us several times without refills or even asking if the food was good. From my experience with this restaurant chain, it is only successful in areas where there are not many other establishments to eat at. I won't be back.

MY REVIEW: Waiter was excellent - food was terrible. I ordered the shrimp/steak parmesean combo and my husband ordered a hamburger (plain). When the food was served, the garlic mashed pototoes were cold and the steak was medium well done (requested medium rare). My husband's hamburger was dried out - no flavor. This was our first visit and it was extremely disappointing. They took off the price of the burger.

This is not a resturant we would consider visiting again.

MY REVIEW: The first time I went here was right after they opened and we were basically forgotten about. After 2 hours of excuses we got our food to go for free and it was cold and not worth eating by the time we got home (10 minutes)

The second time was very slow and terrible service. The food was pricey and not worth the wait.

The third time the service was somewhat slow but otherwise an ok experience.

The fourth time the service was extremely slow and the food was not even hot. It took forever to just get the check that we decided to skip anything else and never come back.

We will never go to this Applebee's again. Ever.

MY REVIEW: Placed to go order, what a mistake! Waited for ever. Ordered a steak for my son, medium well, got home with food and steak was RARE! Went back with steak and no apoligies...had to wait another 30 minutes for another steak. My view, as I was waiting for steak, was of the kitchen, every thing was frozen, microwaved and spayed with some kind of butter or oil. Even though this is the closest restaurant to my house I will never eat there again!

MY REVIEW: Last night(Tuesday night) my husband and I went to Applebee's. We have been there several times since they opened at this location and have always had good service and good food. Last night however we lost any admiration for this restaurant that we had from our previous visits. We arrived at 7:50p.m. The restaurant was not crowded. We were promptly shown to a booth. We looked over the menu and waited for a waiter to come to our table. We waited....waited....and waited. We were there a good solid 15 minutes and no waiter ever came. No one even said anything like: "Someone will be with you in a moment." No drink order....nothing. It was as if we were invisible. There were two waitress in the area. There were two or three tables finishing up and paying their bills and they were attending to them, passing us by many many times without acknowledging our presence. As we sat down, one customer was ordering a dessert. She was served, ate and paid in that 15 minute period and not once did a waitress ask for our drink order or acknowledge our presence at all. I looked at my husband and said maybe we should go to another restaurant where we know our business is appreciated. Let me tell you, we were in no hurry, we are very patient people but a 15 minute wait to even be acknowledged is not acceptable by anyones standards, especially since the restaurant wasn't even busy.

When I got home I called the restaurant. I thought they would never answer the phone but after about 20 rings someone did. I asked to speak to a manager. A very young sounding man came to the phone and seemed very unexperienced at handling this kind of complaint. I was very mild mannered and just told him what happened and said that I thought he needed to be aware of it. He did say he was sorry and that the next time we came in he would attend to us and proceeded to tell me which nights he worked. Well, I told him I didn't think it was necessary to waited on by a manager but just that he needed to know about this so as to see to it that it didn't happen again. I wasn't going to plan my next trip to this restaurant around his work schedule.

MY REVIEW: Not a restaurant I am anxious to go to. The food was ok, the service was awful and the waitstaff rude. I have been to Applebee's in other parts of the country, and this was a major disappointment when they opened in Houston. Obviously, not all Applebee's are created equal. I will only go when I am going with a group and that's the decision of the group.

MY REVIEW: We have been to 4 different locations, the first off HWY 6 was excellent all around, the second off HWY 290, the wait staff didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing, the food was very poor and over priced. Third, a new location off FM 1488, was late and they were about the only place open....all was excellent, food, staff, wait period.......all reasonable....so we decided to try another newly opened place when my husband got a gift card from work. This was in Tomball and could have been better, waiter was pleasant and attentive, the appitizers were a bit cold, when we asked why he said it was stored in the freezer, this we had to laugh for I guess warming it up wasn't an option...the dinner, which was a burger and fries was also cold, however they did agree to bring some hotter fries which was good. But they did taste frozen and we could have done better at home. We probably won't come again there are other much better places with tastier food.

MY REVIEW: Mediocre food, marginal service. Was never ignored or had unattentive waitperson, but our visits to Applebee's at its worst had been better than B*ennigan's at it's best. I'd go back, for the value for the dollar in a casual environment I don't expect much from them.

MY REVIEW: First visit was a let down. Very young waitstaff more concerned with socializing with each other than with customers. Food order not sent complete being minus garlic bread. Forks bent when eating sirloin steak.

Second visit -- older waitstaff -- more competent. Ordered Weight Watchers shrimp and steak skewers. This was very good but it would be nice to get some garlic bread or rolls to accompany this. I will go back for the shrimp and steak skewers.

MY REVIEW: I have only eaten at two Applebee's in my life. I will keep it that way.

My first experience was horrible, but I thought I'd give it a try a few years later. Horribly dissapointed. The service was great, but that cannot make up for the food. I had some sort of pizza - made from a tortilla?? It was soggy and had a strange flavor.

I'm not sure why it's so popular - If you like good food, keep driving.

MY REVIEW: The strongest point that I must rave about is my meal. Maybe it was the fact that I was starving...(ha!)

The garlic shrimp plate w/garlic Sirloin was truly wonderful! I asked our waiter to take the garlic sauce off the sirloin. I think I made the right choice. :) I ate everything off that plate!

I wasn't expecting to have a margarita at Applebee's but I tried one & it was surprisingly great! It was $6.99 for a mucho margarita(I think that's they call it). The glass is pretty big...but not huge...but I think it's a pretty good price. My boyfriend was thrilled b/c Guinesswas on tap. Not many places offer Guiness on tap. The only thing is that it was $6.00. He was just happy that they offered it.

Ok...the service..
Our waiter was pleasant and not too overly "buggy". It was a nice dinner.

There are so many places to eat in Houston... It's hard to say if we will be back soon. The bar area is nice....watching a game there would be cool. The only thing that I know will make me want to go back was my meal. :)

MY REVIEW: I was looking forward to trying Applebee's....what a letdown! The atmosphere at this place was terrible. I was expecting something at least like C*hilis/F*ridays but it was just dead. The food was like something you would get at D*enny's. Draft beer was $4.00. Thumbs down, we will not be back.
