MY REVIEW: It got late really fast, and before I knew it, it was dinnertime. I didn't feel like cooking, so my husband suggested The Greatest Bar-B-Q. I have eaten there before so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed.
The reason I am writing a review is because I called a little after 8p, and they close at 8p. The lady asked me if I was close by because they had already closed. I said yes and she proceeded to take my order. I told her I wanted three of the baked potatoes, and she said they had one left already baked, but she would fix the other two for me.
I appreciate that the not only accepted the order after closing time, but fixed my order after they had already started to clean up and close everything down. That type of customer service is what keeps customers coming back. I wish them continued success and prosperity.

MY REVIEW: I visit at least 3-4 times a month. I buy food here for myself, co-workers and mother-in-law. She lives of of MLK near another BBQ joint that has spots at the airport, but she perfers The Greatest B-B-Q in Mo City.
This is a mom and pop place and they know you the second time you come by, give it a try and you want regret it.

MY REVIEW: They are not bad. I won't say they are the best, I have eaten at many BQ Joints and I feel I can do much better than all of them. I should have my own place. If only I had the money to get started. This place has what I like, a family friendly menu. I get a whole chicken with ribs, 2 sides. 4 soda's, & a loaf of bread at a very good price. I feed my whole family of six on this.
Keep up the good work guys, get better and keep looking out for the family's. I will be back soon. I should be a food taster. I did for a while as a mystery shopper working w*hataburger, B*urgerKing, & Taco C*abana. God bless

MY REVIEW: I can't agree with the other reviewers. I stopped by for lunch and order a sliced beef sandwich. The beef was good quality, very little fat, very tender, and a generous portion. However, it had almost no smoke flavor. It was like they baked it in an oven. To make it worse, the sauce was sticky and way too sweet, like the stuff in bottles at the grocers. I don't think that I will be back.

MY REVIEW: BELIEVE THE HYPE!!! My wife and I had a taste for some BBQ for our usual Friday evening eat out. A couple of weeks ago a co-worker asked me if I had ever eaten at this barbeque joint neear my house. So we decided to check it out. I can't believe THE GREATEST BAR-B-Q in metro Houston is right in my backyard.
My wife had the baked potatoe and pork links and I had the baked potatoe and ribs. When the food arrived, the baked potato was literally the size of an 8" supper plate oozing with cheese, butter, and topped with half a cup of sour cream. The ribs were moist and meaty, and the sauce was literally finger-licking good. At my own peril I stuck a fork in my wife's plate and got a couple of links. They were perfect! Tender enough to cut with a fork, but firm enough to provide a satisfying chew. We washed it down with two cans of soda and planned when we can come back to try the soul food.

MY REVIEW: I was looking for a good BBQ restaurant in Mo City, so I went on line to this site and I read the reviews. They were not lying! The name says it all - it is truly THE GREATEST BAR-B-Q I have tasted outside of my own! I ordered the ribs and they were so tender that they fell off the bone. The sauce is very, very delicious and it leaves you licking your fingers and wishing for more! I also ordered the potato salad and it was equally tasty. I can't wait to go back and try other items from the menu. One thing I disagree with, from the reviews, is that the service is slow. When I went in, on a Saturday afternoon, I didn't have to wait long at all. And if I would've had to wait, I wouldn't have minded it at all because the service was so friendly. If anyone is looking for some good, down home, delicious, tender barbeque - the way your Uncle Bubba used to do it - then take the drive to Mo City and visit "The Greatest Bar-B-Q and Soul Food" restaurant. You won't be disappointed. If I had to offer any suggestions, it would be to spruce the inside up a bit and it might encourage more people to spend a little time and eat in. Other than that, they have my business from now on!

MY REVIEW: It is the best bar-b-q I've had in years. The ribs were magnificent and they were literally falling off the bone. All the vegetables were fresh, as if they had cooked it just for me. It's a small place, and very comfortable for the customers to enjoy their wait by watching tv, or playing a game of dominos.
From what I know the employees are all family and very polite. To anyone in the area I strongly recommend the delicious ribs or chicken, with the steaming hot yams and fresh greens. For dessert, the lemon cake is cooked from scratch and melts and your mouth. Do not be discourage by the long line because it's worth the wait.

MY REVIEW: I got the smothered pork chops and it was seasoned well. The sides I got were greens and green beans. The green beans were really good. The greens were a little bit over seasoned. I was a little dissappointed they didn't have any mac-n-cheese, but overall it was very good. Fair prices and generous amounts. Two thumbs up!!!

MY REVIEW: This restaurant has the best bbq in Missouri City, but they have "soul food," too. Soul food items include: oxtail stew, collard greens, yams, corn, macaroni and cheese, etc. Also, they have boudain, beef links, chicken, RIBS and the best homemade cakes. Try the Sock-It-2-Me cake! Good prices. Food is very tasty!
