MY REVIEW: I'm originally from New Orleans. Went there around lunch time. I order the 6 fried shrimp and 1 catfish filet with coleslaw and french fries. The shrimp and fish were tasty but the coleslaw was bland. Waitress was excellent in service. Will go back probably at dinnertime with husband and try something else. Still looking for a place like home.

MY REVIEW: We went on a Saturday afternoon, place was not crowded, but had some cajun music going. We went for our crawfish fix after reading about the place. We ordered some boudin balls and 2 pounds of crawfish before we got through with the 2lbs, we ordered another 5 lbs. These are great crawfish, seasoned all the way through, not just sprinkled seasoning on the outside. Corn and potatos came with the bugs. The pricing is a little high, a little more than R*agin Cajun and F*loyd's, but overall are a little better. We will be back.

MY REVIEW: My family and I went back to O'Cajcen's. My husband likes to stick with what works. O'Cajcen's was really working. We arrived at about 7pm. There was plenty of crawfish and it was GREAT. Music was playing, my son was even dancing. Service was excellent, waitstaff was great. My son even rang the bell on the way out of the restuarant. EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE. THANKS JOHN..The last couple of visits must have just been an off night. My family and I will continue with our regular visits to O'Cajcens.

MY REVIEW: We need the owner back. I understand he went back to work at Flour Daniel. I didn't realize how much of a positive impact he had on the restuarant until now. My family and I have visit O'Cajcen once a month for the past 2 years, the last two visit's have been horrible. We thought it was just an off day and so we gave the another try but still the tables were a mess, they ran out of crawfish, cleaning supplies were left out in public view. The good ole cajun music wasn't even playing. The current wait staff just appear to be confused, running around blindly. We also miss the young man with the long curly hair that was on top of it. JOHN-PLEASE COME BACK

MY REVIEW: I arrived at 8 pm on a Friday. The place was packed and the only table was a dirty one. The waitstaff must be on a tip pool because every 2 minutes they were asking if you needed anything. Every 2 minutes i was wondering where the thing i needed was. I ordered the crawfish and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. No problem so i ordered the alligator bites. 5 minutes later both my app and crawfish come out. Both are cold. I sent back the crawfish to be rewarmed, which by the way had no potatoes or corn. The flavor is on the shell and not in the crawfish meat as they say. The boiled shrimp was okay besides the fact that i had to use a butter knife to pry the shell off. I ordered a brownie w/o ice cream and was served this Little Debbies 3x2 inch brownie. If this is what Pearland calls great crawfish they have not taken an extra drive to Floyd's on I45. Disappointed.

MY REVIEW: This place is a must try. I normally go for the Grilled items and gumbo. Their fried foods are excellent although I don't eat that much fried stuff. But the true treasure of this place is the crawfish. Its amazing. They are boiling them up now...they don't sprinkle the powder on the outside. Its all the way through to the meat, just like in New Orleans. Awesome. Keep up the good work. you can also go to their website and sign up to get 20% OFF your meal and recieve all sorts of great deals from the owner.

MY REVIEW: Broiled shrimp were excellent, as was the cole slaw. Dirty rice needed something - was flat and bland. Staff could not have been better.

MY REVIEW: My family and I moved to Texas from Southern Louisiana 5 years ago and I thank the day O'cajcen opened their doors. I no longer have to travel home for good ,hot boiled and perfectly seasoned crawfish. Their fried crawfish and dirty rice is exceptional. When my family from Southern Louisiana visits they now request a pick up of gumbo and po-boys from this Cajun favorite.

Staff is so wonderful and truly a family friendly place to be.

MY REVIEW: This place was recommended to me by a friend from Baton Rouge -she was right about the good food - no need to drive to S*udie's for fish - I even eat their cole slaw & I don't usually like cole slaw. The dirty rice is great-definitely a great value.

MY REVIEW: A great family atmosphere and friendly staff. We've enjoyed our experience and the food every time we've gone in. Our children love the popcorn shrimp and like the fact that they can actually talk and not "hush" like some other restaurants. Keep up the great work!

MY REVIEW: Great crawfish. I love the corn and potatoes. I like to add horse radish to my cocktail sauce. Atmosphere is great and relaxed. My son loves the boiled crabs. when we can't get crawfish or crabs we get the boiled shrimp. I almost forgot..... the red beans and rice is just like back home in Abbeville, La.

MY REVIEW: This was my first visit to O'Cajcen's, but definitely not the last. Portions big enough to share or bring home leftovers. Even my daughter enjoyed her meal. Definitely not like going to the "chain" restaurants. Can't wait to go back. This is going to become a regular place for our family to enjoy a meal together.

MY REVIEW: GREAT food - my husband says its the best gumbo he's ever had. We've never ordered anything that wasn't good. Can't beat the price or the service! If we lived closer, we'd be there every week!

MY REVIEW: Best Cajun restaurant on the south and southeast side of town. My wife and I eat here regularly and we love the shrimp po-boys and my favorite the all-you-can eat shrimp. It is a cool atmosphere and the folks are friendly. If my wife did not have to watch her cholesterol, we would be there every week for crawfish !!!

MY REVIEW: ATTN: ALL SILVERLAKE RESIDENTS YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. I thought this was another so-so restaurant in pearland, I was wrong. The food here is excellent. The shrimp po-boy, fried crawfish tails and boiled crawfish (that were seasoned very well). It is worth the drive from Silverlake. The food here is a lot better than Joe's C*rab Shack, (Joe who) and b*aytown seafood (yuk) and the z*ydeco kitchen (horrible place). This is the best seafood restaurant in Pearland. It's just a very small step below p*appadeaux's. You will truly enjoy it. I ordered take-out, and the food was ready in 15 minutes.

MY REVIEW: This was our first visit to O'Cajcen, it was referred to us by a friend. After the first few bites we knew we owed this friend a dinner for introducing us to this place. Enough food on each serving to take home for left overs! From the appetizers to the main course & dessert--it was all great. We'll be back.

MY REVIEW: This is my favorite restaurant EVER! The prices are very reasonable and the food is amazing. My husband typically orders the same thing every time, the Oyster or Crawfish Po-boy. He loves it so much he can't bring himself to try anything new. I've tried most of the items on their menu and have never been disappointed. My family and I frequent this restaurant about once a week. (We would go more, but it's a drive.) Here's to hoping they open another restaurant at 288/518...I might never cook again!

MY REVIEW: O'Cajcen is one of the best places to eat. The food is great, the prices are great and the service is even better. We eat at the restaurant or get an order to go at least once a week. Make sure you ring the bell when you leave so the staff knows they are still doing a good job.

MY REVIEW: We eat at least twice a week and are known well enough that they don't bring the small containers of condiments.

When ever we take someone out to eat we come here, the food is excellent and the service just as good.

MY REVIEW: My husband loves the gumbo (he is from LA) the catfish and the grilled shrimp. I love the grilled shrimp and catfish as well as the soft shell crab when they have it. Their salad is one of the best around for a dinner salad - the good lettuce (dark green) and fresh tomatoes and cucumbers. We love to go there - usually once a week. My only wish is a gumbo without sausage - I know, that wouldn't be Louisiana gumbo!!! But I would still like for them to have it. Anyway it is a great place to eat and ummmmmmmmm good!!
