We were headed for Midtown and we spot Byzantio, we were just curious to see what it was like inside. We got there at 6:15 and our short visit lasted till almost midnight. The bartender and waiter were so nice very pleasing to the eye, if I might add!!! The atmosphere was pure pleasure. This has definitely become our Sunday spot. The prices, food, service are great. What more can you ask for in Houston nowadays right? If you haven't been there, try it you will definitely make it your Sunday spot. The outside patio says nothing compared to the interior of this place, it is absolutely beautiful. We checked out the menu and "thought" that it would not be filling enough for lunch, but we were wrong. The waitress told us that a greek appetizer is like an american hardy meal. She was right! We had to take a to-go box with us. I would definitely go back as I have since. At night it becomes a full fledge bar- not a bunch of youngins' great crowd!! Bartenders as cute and sweet as can be!!! MY REVIEW: Nice place, and very friendly. Great Greek atmosphere. Menu geared more towards a lighter fare, sandwiches and such with some great appetizers. A friend and I split the sampler platter with some cheeses, dolmas, and marinated vegetables for lunch. Their frozen caramel coffee can hold its own. Full service bar provides a wine list and also has a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks like teas & frozen coffees.
