MY REVIEW: I think this place is great! The burgers are good and the onion rings are hand battered. They make their own ranch dressing that they serve with the rings, and it's soooo good! You need to give this place a try.

MY REVIEW: I will never go back. My husband and I have been twice, and both experiences were lacking! This morning we went for breakfast and had to ask twice to be seated. We asked three times for drinks and NEVER got our teas. After 15 minutes of waiting we walked out and went down Hwy 90 to another restaurant that served us promtly and made us feel like valued customers. I have never walked out of a restaurant before this morning, but I felt that asking three times for drinks and waiting 15 minutes and still not be served was too much.

MY REVIEW: Blown away by the burgers! They are awesome. You need to try to cajun fries too! They are not spicy hot at all, just seasoned. The onion rings are thick and home made! Yum! :D Will be going back no doubt!

MY REVIEW: Been a long time since I have been there, before the fire in fact after 8:00pm they don't have a lot of customers arriving eeling. Visited on a Saturday night while my wife was out of town so didn't want to cook for one, arrived there 9:15pm, friendly greeting very attentive staff. The place was just winding down, get the feeling they don't get much business after 8:00pm which is a pity but kind of expected in that market area, nevertheless they are open till 10:30pm which late diners like me will appreciate, had the large Chicken Fried Steak, and boy was it large, saved half of it plus the baked potatoe for breakfast! CFS was tasty and the gravy not overly seasoned (too peppery) like in a lot of places do it. All in all had a great time, don't often dine alone, but this was a very pleasant experience.

MY REVIEW: Over all a great place to eat. However this location seems to be "slow" on service. We've been the only table a few times and it seems to take forever to get our food, but when we get it to go, it takes 10 minutes! I wish they were a little more consistent. Great Jalapeno Burbers though!

MY REVIEW: Well, I used to go here pretty regularly and then service went down so I stopped going. Then they were closed for a while recovering from a kitchen fire.
When they reopened in August, I wasn't sure what to expect. But I sure am glad I went back!!! The service has drastically improved and the food is still the same good homecooking. I have been going on Monday night for the baby-back ribs. This is the only night they do them and let me tell you, they are great! The sauce is sweet, and the ribs are fall off the bone tender! And they are cheap! $10.95 gets you a half-rack, cole slaw, Texas toast and French fries. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very accomodating.
The owner says he is going to start crawfish soon. I can't wait! Last year's crawfish was the best around! You really need to check this place out if you haven't already!

MY REVIEW: Was visiting a friend in Katy and he suggested we have supper there. He had eaten there a few times, it was close by, and seemed to have a good crowd.
We were seated promptly, had two people take our drink orders, and ordered the All you can eat catfish, fried pickles for appetizers. The fried pickles arrived quick, they were hot, however, very greasy and WAY oversalted.
Service was friendly but inattentive. We overheard another table that had the same Catfish, and they were constantly having to catch the server. We waited 20 minutes for our meal. Finally it arrived, it was NOT Catfish filets, but nuggets. Oversalted again. As soon as the food was brought, another server, asked if we wanted another order. We both said yes, and we had finished and were waiting 20 minutes for another round. We finally saw our original server (had not seen her since we placed our order), she asked how our meal was. We asked her to check on the catfish. The second server arrived with a basket of Catfish for my friend and I to split. Oversalted again, and the catfish was cold. It was obvious they were 'throttling' to get you full on the fries and hushpuppies before you really ate all you could. Why advertise it all you can eat if you're going to do make your customers wait?
I finally got up and looked for the beverage refills, and a server refilled it for me. This is unacceptable. This was the first and last time I will be visiting this place.

MY REVIEW: I have been waiting for the restaurant to re-open for quite some time and finally I was able to visit it again. LOVED IT. I had the Jalapeno burger and it was as good as always. We also tried the chicken fried steak and the small was already a big portion so I ended a happy man.

MY REVIEW: We've eaten here many times and enjoyed the burgers, chicken and chicken fried steak. However the CFS has been disappointing the last couple of visits. Tonight my husband and son couldnt even finish eating it, it was chewy and rubbery. Also, I had to get up to refill my own tea. I've noticed the waitstaff isnt always attentive. Tonight there were only 2 or 3 other tables filled yet we still waited for refills. Will probably go back again, but not for the chicken fried steak.

MY REVIEW: We used to eat at the one in Katy fairly often but have had bad experiences the last few time. Wait staff is not attentive as we were seated but had to ask for drinks, refills. Had to ask them to take our order. Food is still ok but prices have been raised which I can understand but for the price and the experience we will most like not go back until changes are made.

MY REVIEW: We wanted to try some place "new". Everyone (wife, 14yr old daughter & 10 yr old son) loved it. They were playing live bluegrass music (my favorite) and the food was excellent. I had the all you can eat catfish, wife had a steak and kids had burgers. Everything was prepared as ordered and complaints about portions. We will definitely will be back.

MY REVIEW: From the outside, the Fulshear location looks nothing special - the windows are all blacked out, so when I went in, I was expecting a pokey room with a few cheap tables and chairs. On the contrary! It is a medium sized restaurant, with several rooms. We were greeted by our server who was friendly and kept our drinks topped up. I had the plain hamburger which was very nice - the burger meat was cooked well (not burnt or chewy, but not too rare either), and importantly, the burger was not dripping in fat or grease as so many other burgers at restaurants and fast food establishments are. The meal, which included french fries came to just under $7. I think this is very reasonable. I will absolutley be going back! Really, I have no negative things to say...my co-worker who joined me told me that the last time she ate there the service was slow, but the time I went it was actually very quick, so I cannot complain.

MY REVIEW: We used to go there a lot and, although the service is not reliable, the food is pretty good and it is easy to get there. The last couple of times we went late on Saturday night and they had the back part closed and had the rest of the customers in the main area. They stared cleaning in the back with clorox (mop) and eating and smelling cleaners is not a great experience. The first time it happened I told the owner and he couldn't quite figure out what my problem was. I told my husband we would give it another try and they did it again. I have not eaten there in almost 2 months and if we go in the future, I will pick up the order.

MY REVIEW: Saturday at 5:30 pm - was only table in the restaurant. 3 folks ordered prime rib, 1 steak, 1 kids hamburger and 1 chicken fried steak. Took 30 minutes at least to get entrees. The food was ok...it wasn't great and wasn't even at the level of the original location but the shocking thing was how long it took to get it with NO ONE ELSE in the restaurant when we ordered. I guess had the place been slammed I wouldn't have been fussed. Maybe they are just getting the bugs out and things will improve.
Sure was disappointed considering the other location is pretty reliably consistent.

MY REVIEW: My family and I really enjoy our visits to the new location on FM 1093, a few hundred yards east of Fulshear. The staff is excellent and the food always good. The chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak, 24 oz porterhouse, chicken tacos, the jalapeno (burgers are charbroiled) burger, pit prime rib and hamburger steak are all items I have tried. Each were great! My kids ask me almost everyday, "Can we please go to Texas Tradition for dinner, Dad?"
