MY REVIEW: I eatb here all the time. This place has the best seafood in town. It is true cajun food. It is not uncommmon to here people ranting and raving in the parking lot about how good the food is and as a regular customer I have to agree. I also highly reccomend the Mexican Shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. The main courses are all delicious and the service is great.

MY REVIEW: Excellent food , cheap prices! the service for my take out was to slow... they seem to take better care of the customers they know better . the main guy was talking to people at a table , saw me standing there and still proceeded to talk to the table for another 5 minutes. i was the only other person in the resturaunt at the time and i made eye contact with them so i knew that i was noticed. treat the people you dont know as well as you treat the ones you do . they also pay the bills and probably will return . the food was worth the wait and i will be back to see them again .

MY REVIEW: This was my first time visiting this place and it was pretty pleasant. I ordered the jumbo shrimp with french fries, which was descent. It's not the best, but its not bad either. Maybe in the future i'll try other dishes.
I recommend this place to any seafood enthusiast.

MY REVIEW: This is absolutely one of the best seafood restaurants in the Houston area. We even tried "fried alligator and oysters" combo -- really good. They give big portions, great selections. One of these days I am going to try one of their yummy desserts. The owner is friendly -- he always makes the rounds to make sure your order was cooked to perfection.

MY REVIEW: Excellent seafood. I haven't tried a thing that I would not recommend or re-order. Service may be a bit slow but it's certainly worth the short wait. Very reasonable prices. COLD beer. I was born and raised in Louisiana and this place comes really close to the real thing.

MY REVIEW: This place is great. If you like seafood and you like good seafood, visit this place. I have never been disappointed. I felt like I was getting a steal, the prices were so cheap and reasonable.

MY REVIEW: Glad we live close. The food is great. Service could be improved. Bread pudding is wonderful -- or gone, if you don't get there early! =)

MY REVIEW: This is a great place - close to the Southwest Freeway -- worth the drive from any part of Houston. Prices are at least half of those in the Kemah Boardwalk restaurant row area. Crab cakes are yummy!! Salmon is excellent. Only wish the chef would add a good Cajun style cole slaw (with shrimp bits) and baked potatoes to his menu. We are get french fries anywhere.

MY REVIEW: A friend of mine raved about this restaurant so we went to it and boy was he right. Really great food at great prices. My wife had the jumbo fried shrimp special and I had crawfish etouffe (I ordered the lunch size) and we both had go boxes after the meal. Oh yes, be sure to try the onion rings, they are fabulous, and the gumbo won't disappoint you, either.
All of the comments submitted by others are true. Treat yourself and visit this great restaurant.

MY REVIEW: This is absolutely one of the best keep secrets in Southwest Houston. The food is fabulous. Food is "P*appadeaux" quality at about one-half the price. Today I tried the crabcakes -- they were full of lump crab meat with the perfect spices. Next time I may try a dessert -- cheesecake and pecan pie with ice cream at just $2.50. The location is so-so (next door to a laundromat)in an area close to Alief and The Meadows. But inside, the place is spotless. Kudos to the owner/chef!!

MY REVIEW: We are never disappointed when we go, the food is always excellent. You can walk in on Friday night and not wait for a table and eat better food than Pap*pados but for much less money. I know when it is discovered, we won't be able to do that, but now we can and it is great. We have taken a lot of people there, and everyone always loves it. I have a hard time making up my mind, the gumbo is great and the sauces they put on fish are heavenly. Fresh crawfish, fried shrimp, and onion rings are my favorite for tonight, but who knows next time...By the way, the health department came today and I saw the report on the wall. They had NOTHING marked off to take care of, so clean kitchen and great food, don't miss out on this secret. You will be glad you went!!! Rod and Yolanda run the restaurant and you feel like best friends when you leave because they take such good care of you. Bon appetite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY REVIEW: The food is so good, never disappointing. The staff will go out of their way to make sure everything is to your liking. Once this place is discovered, it will be hard to get a table, but right now..walk in on any night, even Friday and have the best seafood dinner you've ever eaten. I had the Shrimp Brucette(11.99)last night that was fabulous and my husband had Fried shrimp and oysters for the same price. Everything is so good, if you try it, you will like it. Ther service is a little slow, but the food is worth the wait. And they have killer bread pudding on the weekends. Plus they have take out. Can't beat this place!!!!You come in street clothes, nothing fancy. great after a long day at work.

MY REVIEW: I wanted to add a dish that this place does, that is wonderful. Be sure to try their grilled Mahi Mahi, topped with shrimp and crawfish in a sauce. Excellent.

MY REVIEW: What can I say? I really like this place. It is in a bad location. But then again, L*opez is right down the street and they are doing a great business. If this place were located in the Heights, the tables would be full every day. The Heights needs a good Cajun style seafood restaurant like this one.
I hope they make it. Everything that I have eaten here has been good. I've had seafood gumbo, crawfish etouffee (lots of crawfish), fried shrimp and oyster platter, and the oyster poorboy (my favorite). I even came across a pearl in my oysters one day.
Come to think of it, price no object, I might just eat here every day for a while until I've tried all of their offerings.
It's a nice, clean restaurant, pretty much intact as it was from the Bunga Raya days when that Malaysian restaurant occupied this space.
And, the people are super friendly.
