This is one of my favorite places. I love the service, the food, the patrons. I was considered a "Regular", until I had to find an alternate "corner sports bar" to go to, along with 3 friends. The prices at Danny's have just become to HIGH, for a "Regular". When I can go 2 blocks away, and get the same drink for $1 to $1.25 cheaper, be day or night time prices. Sorry you guys! Their breakfast plates are HUGE (served on a platter), and unless you haven't eaten in a few days you should get one to share with a friend. Needless to say, it was a fine experince. I selected to larger than life hamburger with steak fries and was not disapointed. I noticed several people enjoying the special (ham hocks and greens) and wished I had ordered that. However, tommorrow is another day! I shall return. Dinning is allowed at the bar which makes it fast and covienient, at the same time. I heard rumor that they had run Houston's at Wilcrest and Westheimer out of busines and I can see why. Fast, friendly service with excellent food. The prescription for a fine, fast lunch is Danny's.
