MY REVIEW: Great place. Have been looking for a local, family owned restaurant (it was right under my nose the entire time!). Great staff and chef. Just about everyone on the staff came over and chatted and checked on us. Had one of the specials -chicken breast stuffed with crabmeat and shallets. Delicious! Great for kids too -they had the tortellini with marinara. Plan to take the parents next time they visit -to do an "authenticity check." I plan to come back.

MY REVIEW: The Mother's Day brunch was out of this world. My favorites were the meatballs (larger than my fist), fluffy crepes, balsamic tomatoes, lasagna, and pink cheesecake (tasted like a cross between strawberry and raspberry). The drinks were refilled quickly, there were literally dozens of food options, with several meats and even vegetarian main-dish options.
We have eaten here once before and were very impressed. Give me a spoon, and I could eat the marinara straight from the bowl. Yes, it is that good. The cheese sticks are homemade, and the tomato basil soup is the best I have ever had. The owners are very friendly, and we felt as if we were guests in their home. It is less than half an hour from our house in Katy, but it feels as if you're transported in time and space to some little, old Texas town. This is our new favorite!

MY REVIEW: Used their service for our Texas Army National Guard weekend drill. Had the spaghetti with meatballs one day and Lime chicken the next. Everyone loved the food and those meatballs are HUGE! We could barely continue training we were so stuffed!

MY REVIEW: I had the stuffed artichokes, the best in Houston. The Escarole and beans is the best. This is true Italian cooking!

MY REVIEW: Cozy atmosphere. Great for a quiet get-a-way. WONDERFUL food, my favorite is the grilled veggies and Salmon Marco Polo (and I don't really like salmon!). Service is always with a smile, and your tea is always full. We always see people we know there, so you know if the locals like it, it's good!

MY REVIEW: Best Gravy (marinara sauce to you non-Italians)I have ever had since my Grand Mothers. This place is the real deal. Waiters and staff are very friendly. This place is without a doubt the best Italian restaurant in Texas. Don't be fooled by those fancy Italian restaurants in Houston who think they are serving real Italian food. Italian Maid does it the way Italian food should be made. Try it once and you'll be hooked!
