It was a casual restaurant with fair prices, "excellent" service. We ate crawfish , grilled breaded flounder, fried shrimp and fried fish. Everything was very good. My only complaint: My grilled meal had way too much butter. I usually try to save myself some calories and order grilled instead of fried, but not this time. However, I did enjoy every bit of it. We Will go back soon. They also have a nice kids menu. It was well worth the drive. We will be back. The only week point was that it is a little hard to find. It is in a shopping center and you have to know where to look for it. The oysters are always big and tasty. I tried the drunken snapper for the first time as I had read from a previous review how good it is. It was awesome and I dine at many seafood places as I travel through the SE and no snapper was better than this and the price was amazing. And cheap!! Everybody touts the boiled crawfish and other buckets, but the etoufee is the best I've ever had!! The crab-stuffed jalapenos are great!! I can't recall anything that wasn't very good to great, here, ...ok, one time my daughter didn't like the crab cakes because they were too spicy (but I thought they were great!). The atmosphere is a little laid back and it can get crowded, but the service is good and friendly - and if it weren't you wouldn't care because all of the waitresses here are drop-dead gorgeous. Waitresses are all nice. My husband and I eat at Bluewater boil 3-4 times a month. Sometimes more. We have never eaten anything on the menu we did'nt like. Has a small town cafe kind of atmosphere. Casual, friendly, chatty. It's a nice relaxed place to eat. So far we've tried the grilled snapper, grilled salmon & coconut shrimp (twice). All very good. If you have never been there you are so missing out they have the best boiled crawfish in town. The srevice is awsome and the owner is the nicest lady in the world, pluse the whole wait staff. They really mean when they say family owened and operated cause everyone that works there all seem really close and and all get along. You should really try them out you will love it. I told her that we had not been waited on so we were leaving. All she could say was whatever". Again, I did not say this, but I do apologize on my behalf for any wrong she may have felt was done to her and her party. I do remember that night being incredibly busy and I do really care about all of the customers that visit Bluewater Grill and want them to have the best eating experience they can possibly have. I usually visit once a week and i love everything about it. The food is great especially the drunken red snapper. The service is great. They are so friendly and always willing to sit and chat with you. I have been in when its so busy you have to wait 30 minutes and after you get a table the staff is so busy but they always seem to find time to sit and talk to you. Everyone there from the busboys to the managers compliment this restaurant so well. The owner is lucky to have a staff so willing to help her out. Bluewater is a great place to go and take the family. The service is the best part about it. That is what keeps me coming back. Next time we went, the food was cold, and the service was not at all what we received the time before. The last time we visited was on 1/21/05. We were seated at our table and were told that a waitress would be with us right away. We waited and noticed that the tables around us had waiters and waitresses waiting on other customers constantly. After about 10 minutes of not being waited on, another group of 7 people came in and were seated and immediately had a waitress at their table. We still had not been waited on so we got up and left. The girl at the front (the one that seated us) said thanks, have a nice evening. I told her that we had not been waited on so we were leaving. All she could say was whatever. Very, very disappointed at this place and we will NEVER go there again. The food was well seasoned and the portions were generous. The service was very friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable. A customer at an adjoining table was served an amazingly large bowl of homemade gumbo, with a generous bowl of rice on the side.
