MY REVIEW: Best bread & oil in town. Dressing for house salad was good but very strange. It was sweet with honey & sugar. I guess you need to aquire a taste for it. My wife had the mazzoni salad with poppyseed dressing with oranges & grapefruit. She nearly ate the whole thing. Good size salad. I was hesitant in ordering the pork tenderloin but our server Bresia said it was very good & tender. She was right, it came with a mustard sauce & garlic potatoes. We were so full we couldn't eat dessert but Bresia suggested we could take it home for later on. We took a slice of the raspberry angelfood cake. Not much decor but it is a real warm & cozy place & the music was great.

MY REVIEW: Great staff! We arrived upon opening, and Chef greeted us outside to warn about where we parked, that there had been accidents there, so we moved, and we immensely appreciated his kindness!
Then our server was the best we have ever had, completely knowledgable about menu, truly enjoyed his work, made us smile and laugh, gave us time to order, refilled drinks perfectly, and was sweet to our baby boy too! Food was delivered quickly.
Soup was outstanding, an original minestrone, had lemongrass taste to it. Bread was fantastic too. Plates were delicious. Spaghetti had plenty of sauce, and best meatballs, other than my own.
Music great, environment wonderful! LOVE THIS PLACE and we WILL RETURN asap! :) We live far away, but will make a special trip to go back here. Totally impressed!

MY REVIEW: First time visit for lunch on a Thursday. The bread they serve is delicious (would have liked it served warmer, but that did not deter my from munching away)!
I had the Penne Mona Lisa with penne pasta, spinach, feta, mushrooms and a lovely light marinara sauce. The serving size for lunch was more than I could eat, so I gladly took half to go.
Our server was very nice and efficient, knowing when to check on us and when to fade out.
I will definitely go back again. I saw some of the pizzas being ordered and they looked great.

MY REVIEW: Good food. Good service.
Very noisy, lots of kids playing and screaming. Like Chuck-y-Cheese.
Good place for family get togethers with small children.

MY REVIEW: This place was terrific for lunch. The server was attentive, knowlegeable, and seemed to like working there (a real plus). The tomato-basil soup was much, much better than you-know-who's, and the salads delicious. Everything tasted fresh and the menu is imaginative. QWe'll be back!

MY REVIEW: Don't order to-go! For two pizzas delivered, the delivery charge is 18%, or $10! This was not mentioned over the phone, and while the pizza tasted fine, it was NOT worth $28 per pizza!

MY REVIEW: I've read a lot of the reviews, they are so mixed I find it odd. My own experience at Gugliani's was wonderful. Our server was polite and funny and quite the delight as was the food. It all came in a timely manner. Of course @3pm may be the best time, not too busy. I wish I could remember our servers name. She really was great. Rare these days. We will eat there again. Oh yes, the bread...YUM

MY REVIEW: OK I may not be there weekly but within the last 6 months my family and I have averaged about 1.5 times a month.
We accidently found this place about 3 years ago. It is real close, rarely crowded and reasonably priced. So we keep going back.
The wait staff has always been good, polite and helpful. The food has always been great, maybe we just get lucky with what we order. My wife loves Olive G*arden but we hate the wait (especially with a 3 year old). She loves this restaurant as much, I love the reduced wait an slightly less cost.
The building isn't much to look at, just get past that. The food is great, the prices reasonable, portions are just perfect (in our opinion).
My only complaint would be the selections for little children. It may just be my daughter but we have never really gotten her to like any of the chioces. At other restaurants she eats similar items great just not here. Other than that this restaurant is a family favorite.

MY REVIEW: Last night we went to celebrate my uncle's birthday, this was our first visit since the name change to Gugliani's. There are signs all around saying that the food quality is the same, but I will tell you firsthand it is not, the food has gone severely downhill. I had a cesaer salad that was basically iceberg lettuce with cesaer dressing and some croutons, for $5 and then I had the eggplant pasta which was lackluster for $10. The cheese pizza that my family ordered looked and tasted as if it had been microwaved. The front of the restaurant was a nice cool temperature, but the ladies restroom was about 100 degrees and seemed to have a heater on... in the middle of the Houston summer. Needless to say, I will not waste my time or money going back.

MY REVIEW: This restaurant may not have the best location or building, but they have the best food we've ever had at any Italian restaurant. Their Monday special, all you can eat pasta is great too! Everything is freshly made and presented nicely. Try it!

MY REVIEW: I first stopped in here to eat with my wife because I had an Entertainment Book Coupon. The meal was pretty good, but not the greatest Italian I've ever ingested. However, as I ate, I was giving another table the hairy eyeball because of the pizza they ordered. It really looked good! I eventually ordered one to go a couple of weeks later. This is by far one of the best pies I've ever had in Texas. I'm originally from New York, don't hold that against me, but I do know pizza. Do yourself a favor and try one. I'm sold.

MY REVIEW: We live in Spring and have driven by a thousand times - but have never eaten there. We decided on Sunday to give it a try. The decor is casual & comfy, the waiter (I think his name was Randy) was very polite and friendly and the food was terrific. My husband had the chicken lasagna. I noticed on an earlier post that someone said the chicken lasagna was a small serving and wasn't very good. I totally disagree!! It was excellent and we ended up taking some of it home. We have no complaints and will definately be back.

MY REVIEW: I thought the service was great. The food was good, not great, but I would go there again. The name has changed so I don't know if that means that the management has changed also.

MY REVIEW: This used to be a burger joint, and I don't think they changed the decore at all in the 2 years since they started. It certainly isn't fancy, and it isn't Italian rustic either.
The hostess may have been having an off day, but may have been the least friendly hostess I've ever seen in Houston. Totally useless. Barely said a word when she seated us. Didn't say a word on the way out. The owner really needs to train their staff. Fortunately, the wait staff was moderately proficient and at least friendly.
Despite those negatives, the food was actually quite good. Portions and pricing were about average, but quality of the cooking was better than average.
Good chef....restaurant management needs work.

MY REVIEW: We've ordered from Collinas in the Heights since they moved into the neighborhood. The service has, for the most part always been questionable, but we've tolerated it because the food was pretty good. However, over time I've noticed that the quality and quantity of ingredients/portions has decreased dramatically. Tonight, we ordered two salads and two pizzas for nearly $70. IT"S FREAKIN' PIZZA!!!!!
Anyway, we're starting to hit the wall on this place. The service (live and over the phone) remain average. The food quality is good. The value is very poor. It's time to make a plea for an authentic Italian restaurant to move in and make my $70 delivery order WORTH IT!
