MY REVIEW: I love this place! I had the Salvadorean hueves breakfast. It was so fresh and wonderful. The coffee was tasty, and the service was friendly and attentive. I will definitely go back.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I went to Sabor! after reading all the reviews and we really enjoyed the food. I don't remember the name of the dishes we ordered but they were #28 and #30 on the menu. #28 came with Salvadorian steak, chorizo, rice mixed with beans and delicious guacamole. #30 came with Honduran steak, fried plaintain, pickled cabbage and rice. (#28 was definitely better).

I LOVED the Salvadorian coffee..it had a wonderful cinnamon flavor...I ended up having 3 cups! The only drawback to this place is the atmosphere...but the food definitely makes up for it.

The next time we go, we will probably try the seafood soup because it seemed like everyone around us ordered a bowl, which is always a good sign. :)

MY REVIEW: This restaurant is great! The food here is NOT greasy like @ other Salvadorean restaurants! the pupusas taste great, and the coffee is delicious (seems like they add some type of cinnamon)...The restaurant looks clean and fancy (compared to other restaurants)...would go again? ... definetly!

MY REVIEW: The Mrs. and I tried Sabor! for the first time yesterday, and overall it wasn't too bad, although the service wasn't what it could have been. We waited for half an hour to get our food, and even though they were busy there were people who came in after us getting their food before us.

I wanted to try their famous Salvadorean coffee, and was told they were out. I wanted to try a chicken dish that looked really good, but again was told they were out. The third strike would have been the wait time for our order, and I was ready to leave just before the waitress arrived with our food.

The decor was inviting, the place was clean, the food was okay - the pork-&-cheese pupusas were the highlight of the meal. I'd probably be inclined to go back, but when they aren't busy with after-church brunchers with their whiny kids in tow. The 10% "bird-dog" tip added to your check regardless of the size of your party is a turn-off.

MY REVIEW: Their food is delicious!! You can not leave hungry! I am a salvadorian and in houston there are many salvadorian restaurants but none compare to Sabor! The food isn't as greasy at Sabor nor as expensive! There isn't loud music playing to where you can't have a simple conversation. It's a nice quiet place have a nice dinner, lunch or breakfast. I recomend EVERYTHING!!!!!!

MY REVIEW: Based on the previous reviews, I visited Sabor! and concur with their reviews.

The chocolate was very good and the pupusas were quite large! I had the Combo B, which was a tamale, platanos fritos, and 2 pupusas. I did not go away hungry, although it isn't the cheapest place either. Total with tip was $12.50.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I ate here after reading the first review and have to agree.

The food here is tasty and not as greasy as some of the other Central American restaurants we have eaten at in the past. The Manager invited us to taste some of the local juice drinks that they had to offer. These were all great and we plan to visit her often.

MY REVIEW: Central American food with a Salvadorian focus. We went for Sunday breakfast last week but were swayed by the combo plates with plantains, creamy cheese, salad, 2 pupusas of your choice (beans & cheese, chicken, pork) for around $8. Food is delicious and servings aren't small. Arroz y leche dessert came in a deep bowl that was big enough for two. It's a bright, clean, family-owned place in a new shopping center down from Pollo C*ampero. Will definitely return to try their breakfast.
