MY REVIEW: Going down hill!
They used to be good but the food has gotten too greasy lately. If you go late at night, the place turns into a 'white trash biker bar'. The patrons are obviously well lubricated and yell and scream so loud that you can't hear your friends. A few of the bikers will get on their bikes and just sit there revving their engines like a biker gang. If that isn't enough, they will sometimes turn up the music so loud that your beer glass will vibrate across your table.
In summary, there are better burgers elsewhere with much better environments.

MY REVIEW: Me and some friends went after work/school for a tuesday brunch. Clear channel network happened to be there which spiced it up with awsome sports coverage. I met Houston Texan's team members and (Boss man) Steve. Steve is a great people person! The staff and Steve made our visit a pleasant one and we look forward to our next visit to Christian's Tailgate B & G!

MY REVIEW: We stopped by after the Astro's game and saw the owner, ole Steve in full form, standing out on the porch clad with his kaki pants and white shirt. The place was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying the sports games and adult beverages of their choice. The food and cold Miller Lite picher we had was great and the bar tender, well she was right on her game. We had lots of fun and look forward to returning again! Great service and the prices are affortable!
Thanks Uncle Steve for another enjoyable evening!

MY REVIEW: Yikes! How can anyone think this is a good burger? If you want VOLUME, yes, but if it is taste and flavor, a resounding NO! I went yesterday for lunch. First bad, I had to bus my own table. Waited and waited, then got the burger and the meat tasted like it had been BOILED. Fries were the best part of the experience, but not great. Yuk, yuk, yuk! S*A*M's and B*E*L*L*A*I*R*E B*R*O*I*L*E*R FAR FAR FAR SURPASS this joint.
Not going back!

MY REVIEW: I saw bad reviews along with good ones regarding both the food & the service, so I decided to check it out for myself this past Sunday (along with the basketball games). The burger, fries and onion rings were fantastic! My burger was ordered Medium and cooked perfectly. The service I had was better than anywhere I have been (I'm even including T*ony's, B*rennan's & other upscale restaurants). Thanks to Natalie, my waitress, who was the sweetest, friendliest and most attentive person who has ever waited on me in a restaurant. It made for a great day.

MY REVIEW: The food was not even comparable to the one on Washington. Yuck! The one on Washington is great. I will NEVER go to this one again. The hamburger was swimming in mustard, the onion rings were fried so crispy, you could have used them as ring tosser's. The table was dirty. Shall I go on???????

MY REVIEW: Great burger! And the fries were perfect. I am surprised to see the other reviews?? Anyway, we sat outside at lunch, nice view of midtown and downtown skyline. The lady that took our order was far from Miss Personality but she was quick and got the order right. I will definately go back!

MY REVIEW: Horrible Horrible Horrible. I tried this dive for a second time this past wednesday and will never go back. the fries were cold, the burger was soaked in a grease bath. i don't know how this dive managed to win an award for their hamburgers. i would have preferred a double cheeseburger from w*endys! the only nice thing is the porch overlooking downtown, if you don't mind the car exhaust.

MY REVIEW: Brought a large group of out of town friends to this place, and I was never so embarrased by a restaurant in my life. The fries were obviously allowed to get cold, and then re-dunked into the grease to crisp them up into tasteless shells before they served them to my party. The burger patties were dry and tasteless and the sandwiches had obviously been seriously microwaved because a few of us burned our mouths and had to spit our food out. Luckly we warned the others before we all ended up with trips to the emergency room.
Moral of the story: Check your food before you eat it here. When it's busy, things are okay, but they won't hesitate to recycle stale food in the kitchen if they are slow. They just don't care. NEVER AGAIN.

MY REVIEW: I went on a Friday night, and it was packed! Karaoke was going in full force, and the place was loud and fun. I ordered two burgers at the bar, and the waitress brought our burgers to us in record time despite being so busy. Drinks came quickly all night and were mixed perfect. Oh, and the burgers were delicious! I will definitely visit again!

MY REVIEW: My pick for best burgers in Houston. This place has it all, made to order burgers and fries, a comfortable atmosphere and you never know who you will see when you walk in. On a previous visit Dusty from ZZ Top walked in, it was really cool. I have never received rude service or bad service. I give this place an A+!

MY REVIEW: I had to add my review. The burgers are really good but the best? I would have to try way too many burgers to decide that.
Service: Here is the deal. Christian keeps a light staff during lunch so you order at the bar and serve yourself. Much faster than waiting for a waitress to take 4 other orders befor turning yours in. You know the deal. This is to allow you to get lunch and get back to work. Has the staff been cranky to me? ..thinking back...NO. Do I tip well and treat them with respect? OF COURSE. Has the service been slow? Not any slower than other restaurants unless I want to get a hockey puck burger from M*cDonalds, now they are fast. It's all about time and place...what you are in the mood for at the time. The kitchen has made one mistake on my order, they forgot to give me fries but they fixed the order in 30 seconds.
Now I am not sure where the other reviewer is going for her "better burger" but its a restaurant and people's tastes are different. When it comes to a burger that is something personal, we all have in our mind what makes a burger great. If we shared the same idea it would be really boring.
If I want better food, I would go to S*orrentos, M*arks, or a dozen others that come to mind BUT if I am in the mood for casual atmosphere, a burger and Blue Moon beer. I am going to Christians.
PS Try the chicken tenders, those are amazing.

MY REVIEW: Christian's serves some of the best burgers in the city. Their famously horrible service is still horrible. They are consistently understaffed, but the cranky waitress with no sense of urgency is no longer there so that is good. Perhaps the owners think that slow service is charming or endearing - its not, its just annoying.
Kitchen consistently makes errors but the food you do get is great. My husband was served a chilli-cheese burger instead of the sandwich he did order but it looked so good that he ate it anyway.
Coldest beer in town.
If you intend to go to Christians for a conversation - skip it as the noise level is so loud that it is impossible to hear.
Bring a sweater or a jacket as it is always freezing.
We will choose to go elsewhere most days to watch sports while we eat because of the bad service, loud noise and low temperatures. We will go down the street for much better service and a more comfortable atmosphere for a decent burger.
But sometimes you need a little Christians if not for the awesome food then for the train wreck of atmosphere and service that is so bad its comical.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I were craving a burger on a sunday afternoon. We were very satisfied with our burgers. I wolfed mine down so fast I almost didn't taste it which was my bad. The fries were good too. We had the two burgers a side of fries (large), a mixed drink and two beers ....total $26. Can't beat that. Our service was friendly and she only made one mistake and we think it was our fault. She quickly corrected it. The place was close, good, quick, and inexpensive. The only thing bad about our experience was leaving. The intersection near the bar is so badly laid out that another car ran a red light thinking our green light was his. Be careful.

MY REVIEW: Best Burgers WORST service. The customer is NEVER right at this place. I give it to them on the burgers but just pray that they do not mess up on your order. THEY WILL NEVER ADMIT THERE ERROR! I've been there several times and 2 of those times they completely jacked up my order and both times they where rude and blamed the customer not themselves. The first time someone grabbed order before I got up there to pick up the number. Did they want to fix me another one. NO! The second they gave me fries instead of onion rings. Did they want to replace it. NO! The only way I will go back is if I type my order and get them to sign it like a contract.

MY REVIEW: The food is decently priced there- 1/3 lb burger, fries, and drink for $7. Add an extra dollar to substitute for onion rings- and they are SO GOOD!! The burger was really good also, but they messed up on my order, adding mustard to it instead of mayo. Service was decent and friendly.

MY REVIEW: What a bunch of whiners! This is a sports bar that so happens to make the best burger in town. If you want impeccable service go to Brenham's. This place Rock's. Steve's burgers in my opinion are grilled to greasy perfection. This is not the place for those asking how may Weight Watcher points are those O-ring's? This is full-on Adkins's approved tasty burgers. Seriously. I would check this place out if you want the best burger experience in Houston and the surrounding area. M*el's doesn't have shiznit on Christian's burgers. But of course that's not saying much as the only thing M*el has is the mega M*el and who wants to choke down a pound of bacon with their burger? The view of the downtown skyline is an added bonus. Oh Yeah, the place used to be a Martini bar so for a sports bar/burger joint/live music venue the rest rooms are the cleanest in town. Again. Check this place out. You won't be disappointed.

MY REVIEW: I love these burgers! The jalapeno poppers were good also. I even loved the unique tasting cherry limeade. This is my new favorite place for burgers. The waitress we had was friendly and helpful even though she was so busy. The food was out fairly quickly. This is a good place to go to watch a game as there are so many high quality t.v's (at least 10 in various places and on walls of the restaurant, it's impossible to sit anywhere w/out sitting next to one. There is also pool tables!)

MY REVIEW: SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE. For nearly $10 I had lemon flavored water, tasteless, greasy twice-fried french fries, and a meat patty that had been sitting around drying out (since the lunch rush?) and microwaved. Shame on you, Christian's. I'll never go back.
This was absolutely just the worst hamburger meal I have ever had. I stopped for a hamburger after work fully expecting something great. I got something a whole lot less than adequate. First, the "pink" lemonade was watered down to the point of barely tasting like lemonade. Perhaps someone added extra water to save money? Although the last time I checked, frozen lemonade concentrate was pretty inexpensive. Chalk it up to carelessness on the part of the staff. Maybe they don't read directions or drink lemonade. No matter, the hamburger will be great, I thought. Well, it was too hot to eat when I got it so I started with the french fries. Have you ever had french fries that have been fried, then cooled, then put into the grease again to crisp them up? The outside is very, very crunchy and greasy, and there really isn't a middle. Cheap hamburger joints will do this, but I didn't expect to find Christian's pulling this trick to save a few cents. I mean, frozen potatoes are ridiculously cheap. Since I couldn't eat the tasteless fries, I turned my attention to the hamburger. I like hamburgers, I mean I like them A LOT, and I've made them at home out of many different kinds of "hamburger," meaning ground buffalo, 96% lean, etc. Never found a single meat patty to cook up all dry. But Christian's meat was dust-dry, literally juiceless, and hot, hot, hot. I don't mean hot-off-the-grill hot, I mean MICROWAVE hot. Dusty dry plus microwave burn-your-mouth-hot is not what you expect from a place that charges $5 for a burger. I really can't figure out why they would deliberately serve such a bad meal. To anyone at any time.

MY REVIEW: If there is a better burger in Houston I haven't found it. The service is 'quirky" but not rude in the least. Takes a while to get your burger but absolutely worth every minute of the wait. Just wish I had more chances to get over to their neck of the woods.
