Noah's Ark Bar & Grill
4438 Boulevard St, Bacliff, Texas 77518
MY REVIEW: Like G*ilhooley's (San Leon), Noah's Ark is a favorite among bay community locals and bikers. But unlike G*ilhooley's, kids are allowed here. And the Ark has a much larger menu, including breakfast.
Oyster basket was good with plump oysters, sweet potato waffle fries and hush puppies. A cup of gumbo was the dark, thin variety--with a little too much salt and seafood that was over-cooked.
As I looked over the menu, it was obvious there is much variety; however, seafood combination platters seem a little over-priced by a couple dollars. But folks who like to light up before and after their meal don't mind paying a couple bucks more for seafood to keep from having to go outside.
Patio has maybe the best bay views in this area. Actually those dining inside enjoy great bay views from almost any table.

MY REVIEW: We love this place, group of 12-15 stays the weekend and it is always breakfast at Noah's. Cambi is our favorite waitress and very efficient. Food is wonderful and Bloody Marys gets us awake. I have eaten other meals here over the last 12 years and the seafood is what we expect on the gulf coast. Try it and you will like it.

MY REVIEW: Great laid back spot. Most everything on the menu is yummy and yes they have great bloody marys that come with a "cart" of ingredients to add to make the drink to your personal liking. You'll see alot of the same faces each time you go. Try the chicken fried steak, noah's oysters, hot mermaids and seafood bisque. Nice view of the bay as well.

MY REVIEW: This is the place we went on our first date. When we arrived I wasn't sure about the place, it has since gotten spruced up. The food is so great,(My husband loves the fire alarm oysters)food is priced right, waitress are friendly and attentive. You feel comfortable and welcome, which is rare in a restaurant. They never rush you to leave, you can sit and talk and not feel pressured that are you finished yet? Like at the boardwalk. The atmosphere is wonderful and love all the motorcycles. View and sitting outside is great as well. Hope to go there for many years to come.

MY REVIEW: Oh my the sun is shining and its time for Noah's on the deck....great food and the drinks are good and cheap especially on Sunday's. When you go ask for the best cook in the area...Glen Armstrong he cooks the best shrimp and oysters around and if your lucky and the handsome guy is trying new ideas in the kitchen he may bring you something. He is a great person and awesome cook.....I should know I ate there almost every week just to meet him. He is the best.
Go to Noah's this Sunday and sit on the deck with a bloody mary for only $1.50, or cold beer for $2.00.....have some fun in the sun..the waitstaff is awesome, and if its fast service then drive thru M*cD you go to Noah's to relax and have a drink and eat something....no rush, its laid back. The bartenders are super nice and willing to try to make a drink you never heard of....

MY REVIEW: We tried this place on a whim, bad idea. The food is WAY over priced for the portion size. Even the cold slaw was terrible. It was like eating salad dressing out of the jar. The menu was also very limited.
I can see this being a fun place to drink and people watch but if you want a good meal, forget it.

MY REVIEW: Pros- cheap bloody marys, decent view to chill with, good for people watching...
Cons-have patience, they are slow on a good day and ridiculous when busy!

MY REVIEW: best place in the area for killing an afternoon. Great patio with an ok view, shade everywhere and tables close enough that conversations overlap..........
excellent service - friendly, warm waitresses who genuinely care (and if you are lucky, will share their newest dirty jokes) consistently good, casual food and great bloody marys. Breakfast is out of this world - huge portions and though sometimes you have to wait, it is worth every minute.

MY REVIEW: I love this place. I am eighteen years old and my mom and I have been coming to Noah's about seven years now and every time is so awesome! We always get the same thing...oysters!! And no matter what they are always good. We sat outside for the first time yesterday because usually we sit at the bar. Our waitress Rachel was really great!! The people are always super friendly and all the tables just visit among each other. I will be coming here for years and years!!

MY REVIEW: I rode today with our HOG chapter to Noah's Ark. Our Activity Director called on Tuesday to say there would be 60 people visiting the restuarant on Sunday at lunch time. Noah's Ark said no problem.
We arrived on time. The place was busy but not overly crowded. It took 30 minutes to place our order. The waitress kept yelling saying she was only one person. After an hour and no food another waitress showed up. After another 45 minutes and people in our group who came after my table were served, I was told my food was canceled because one of our guys got tired of waiting an left. I left with no food. BAD SERVICE and BAD MANAGEMENT! I will never go back and neither will our group!

MY REVIEW: The food is great and the service is awesome. I was afraid to go in there at first when I saw the building. My roommate took me there because she had a buy one get one free dinner. I looked at the place and thought oh my god this is going to be a dive. Well, I was really surprised and amazed. I will go back anytime again with no second thoughts. We sat at the tables and were able to get service immediately. In fact, they have live entertainment in the form of Karoke on certain nights. There parking lot was packed. C*lifton's by thesea is more expensive and you receive the same quality of food at Noah's Ark. Why spend more money. Plus, I hate going down to the Kemah Broadwalk to eat. I am very finckey about my seafood. Many of those restaurants sell you frozen shrimp dinners just like you get at Sam's warehouse. If I wanted something like that I would save my money and go to Sam's for $10.00 and feed the family on shrimp dinner. When I go to a restaurant I am looking for the freshness of the food, quality, atmosphere, cleaniness, how I am greeted by the hostess, and the service I receive. Then, I decide whether I want to go back or not. Noah's I would go back in a heart beat. The atmosphere is not a 5 star rating where somebody is looking for a romantic ambiance. The atmosphere is relaxed and where locals sit and gossipp. The food is fresh daily. Specialities of the house is seafood. I had the biggest oysters I have ever seen in my life there. They were just huge and great tasting too. The bathroom are extremely clean. That is usually the first place I go after they have seated me because that will tell me how clean there kitchen is too. In addition, I am able to walk by their kitchen and see how clean it is for myself. I use to do mystery shopping and work in a restaurant. I am very particular about where I eat and to make sure it is clean.
The floors were kept up so no food debris was on the floor to attract rodents. I check everything. Restaurant owners hate to see me come in to eat at their place because I will rake them over the coals or give them high marks.

MY REVIEW: OK place to have drink and some quick food. Sit at the bar, cause the tables take forever to be cleaned and waited. Too many motorcyles on the weekend. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 6. It has gone downhill in the last 2-3 years.

MY REVIEW: Try the bacon wrapped oysters and shrimp apetizers! Great gumbo and good bisque. If Jimmy's cooking you can always count on him. Any of them for that matter. Any negative reviews posted here had to have been the competition! Tell everyone Bags (Dickie Lee) sent you. Uh, let's see.
Get a hug from Carla if you see her. She's the slim blonde. She has the bestest hugs.
There are several regulars with long white... I mean very blonde beards. I'm one of them. Take Mom and Dad with you, they'll love the view. If you see the Boss tell him I said Sweet Carla deserves a raise. Oh, and tell everybody I said "Hey!"

MY REVIEW: I love Noah's Ark. The seafood is good and fresh, and the drink specials are excellent. If you enjoy places that are off the beaten path and that are not overly crowded or noisy, and that serve great food at a reasonable price, this is the place. We bring our kids, who love the awe-inspiring motorcycles that are usually parked outside. We've probably been there 40 times in the past two years. I'm somewhat of a newcomer to the area, and I was introduced to Noah's Ark by one of my clients. I bring my family, in-laws and friends whenever they are in town. It's a great depressurization after a stressfull workweek, and it certainly beats crowded Kemah restaurants. Whether you sit inside, outside or upstairs, you will not be disappointed - the view and the climate are excellent. You can see Kemah, watch boats in the bay, or watch fisherman down on the pier reeling in fish. I know this is a popular motorcycle group hangout -- I hope to bring a lot of street rodders to enjoy it as well.
