That is Cafe East. Cafe Far East is very different. It as a table service restaurant and you are not charged by the head, but according to what you order from the menu. My neighbor used to work for Dave (the owner of C F E) in another restaurant he owned, and said it was the cleanest, most well run place she had ever seen. His food is incredible and they are always courteous. This is where I go to satisfy that craving for barbecue pork and spring rolls. Dave has owned businesses in the Katy area since before I moved out here seventeen years ago, and I hope he sticks around for a long time. I came in with two 5th graders and found out at checkout I was charged $8.25 for a child to eat 2 ribs, a spoon full of corn and an ice cream cone. The quality of this establishment has gone down while the sneaky overcharges have gone up. I understood at check in that I amd my 14 yr old were the ones to be charged full price. Overall, I was quite pleased with the quality of the food and the overall service received at the restaurant. One thing that stood out was the 'higher' than normal price for the food received. I thought, that compared to other restaurants, that this place was a bit higher that I am used to. It is a small family owned establishment. The owner is an older chinese man that has a great sense of humour and ads a very personal touch to the service. I can't recommend it enough (General Tso's Chicken is my favourite). They also do free delivery within 4 miles.
