Cafe Far East

MY REVIEW: Wanted to let you know that it is very likely that katygirl was talking about the Chinese buffet down Mason. That is Cafe East. Cafe Far East is very different. It as a table service restaurant and you are not charged by the head, but according to what you order from the menu. My neighbor used to work for Dave (the owner of C F E) in another restaurant he owned, and said it was the cleanest, most well run place she had ever seen. His food is incredible and they are always courteous. This is where I go to satisfy that craving for barbecue pork and spring rolls. Dave has owned businesses in the Katy area since before I moved out here seventeen years ago, and I hope he sticks around for a long time.

MY REVIEW: Best Chinese food in Katy. We visit at least once a week. The owners are genuine and very friendly. The food is execellent and always fresh. I have NEVER been disappointed. Hunan chicken, cashew chicken, general Tso, and Kung Po are all favorites! Excellent lunch specials, all week until 3:00!!!

MY REVIEW: I would first like to say the Review on the bottom of mine, is a mistake. He's talking about "Cafe East" a buffet. How I know this? Its because they don't have corn or anything like that. --- To the the Actual Resturaunt.. They have great food, good service, and good communication with customer. They are now having a coupon for 10% off lunch and 15% off dinner. So I'm trying to get it, and you should to!! :)

MY REVIEW: Made my final visit to this place. I came in with two 5th graders and found out at checkout I was charged $8.25 for a child to eat 2 ribs, a spoon full of corn and an ice cream cone. The quality of this establishment has gone down while the sneaky overcharges have gone up. I understood at check in that I amd my 14 yr old were the ones to be charged full price.

MY REVIEW: I went to this restaurant based on the previous reviews posted here... Overall, I was quite pleased with the quality of the food and the overall service received at the restaurant. One thing that stood out was the 'higher' than normal price for the food received. I thought, that compared to other restaurants, that this place was a bit higher that I am used to.
I would have requested delivery, but the gentleman that answered said I wasn't within delivery distance. Come to find out that I was actually in distance... No problem though.

MY REVIEW: This is the place to go for fantastic, FRESH, and authentic chinese food. It is a small family owned establishment. The owner is an older chinese man that has a great sense of humour and ads a very personal touch to the service. I can't recommend it enough (General Tso's Chicken is my favourite). They also do free delivery within 4 miles.
