Las Llardas

MY REVIEW: I visited Las Llardas today and ordered a side of refried beans and a nopalitos taco. They were both delicious. They were generous with the amount of nopales in the taco and the amount of refried beans. My friend ordered a Cuban torta and she enjoyed it. It was huge. They make fresh fruit drinks. I had a delicious pineapple juice. I highly recommend Las Llardas if you want a less Tex-Mex food feel and a more authentic Mexican food experience. Their service today wasn't that great though. She didn't come back to see if we wanted anything else, or a box to go or the bill.

MY REVIEW: If you want real Mexican food this is the place. I love TexMex but it does not compare to real Mexican food. After viewing Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" Mexico City show it made me want to seek out a resturant to serve the same style of food. Forget the big name Mexican resturants in town, they can't compare to the food quality of this place. The decor is not upscale but it's clean and comfortable. Go, enjoy, you wouldn't regret it.

MY REVIEW: Out of all the "Taqueria" restaurants I've been to, this one is by far my favorite! Their "tortas" are to die for!!! They have several to choose from, but my favorites are the milanesa and cubana style ones. They prepare their food with the perfect Mexican style touch. If you go for breakfast you should try their coffee as well. It has a wonderful cinammon taste to it.

MY REVIEW: I had read great reviews online about the restaurant Las Llardas. My boyfriend and I ate there on December 23rd at 12:30 p.m. It was a terrible experience. The new waitress handed us the menu and quickly returned with an additional insert listed with lunch specials. My boyfriend order the beef enchilades for $5.99 and I ordered the carne guisada for $6.25 and two small drinks for $3. The meal was the size of lunch. Had 3 beef enchilades. Our waitress took a long time to refill our drinks and the food was okay. When it came to check out, we waited for a long time to pay. The other waitress rang us up and the total was 19.60 and I told her that the new waitress had given us the lunch menu. The menu did not specify what day were the specials and she said “oh sorry, she is new” I asked here what I can do because I thought the prices were based off the lunch menu. Could speak to someone else I asked and she there is no one else so I had to pay for meal that I was unsatisfied about. I asked her what are you going to prevent this from happening in the future? She just kept apologizing but offered no feedback.

MY REVIEW: Flautas, Chicken Flautas!!!!!

They are absolutely delicious, the price is a little high. but its worth it

In a plate came 3 big flautas topped with letucce, onions,sour cream, plus rice and beans. We really recomend this place.

MY REVIEW: I really like the food that they have in this restaurant, specially since their food is athentic mexican style. you would be hardpress to find a restaurant with all the "antojitos" (mexico city style food) in the houston area, but in las llardas they do. I recomend this place to anyone that has been in Mexico City and enjoy the real mexican food, from their aguas frescas to their tlacoyos. And since the family runs this bussines the customer service is amazing. I give them a 10
