Well wouldn't you know they did not put 2 shrimp in my order. So I paid for something I didn't receive, so from now on whenever I take out my order, I will definitely double check my order and recommend that everyone else do like wise! The food is good with a vary tasty Gumbo. The micheladas are the best especially with a freshly opened oyster. Captain Rudy's had the best fried shrimp and fried oysters that I've ever eaten since I've lived in Houston. They were fresh and fried in a light, mouth-watering breading. They were delicious! My father and brother had the raw oysters as appetizers, and they couldn't eat enough! They also raved about the fried shrimp and fried oysters. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The cost for the entire lunch for three was very reasonable, compared to other seafood restaurants in Houston. Captain Rudy's is a clean, friendly, delicious dining experience that should be enjoyed by the whole family. Families will really like it because it's a very casual atmosphere. I've told everyone I know to go to Captain Rudy's. I know I can't wait to go back again! NAME: K. D. The stuffed flounder was pretty good but I wish I knew it was bone-in. All in all it was pretty good. My guest had fried dishes and the breading was kind of too much corn meal instead of a well thought out seasoned light breading. 3.5 on a 5 scale. Would recommend if in the area. The gumbo is very good and the raw oyters are excellent especially with the Michelada ( Beer with spicy sauce ). Also try the seafood soup only available on the weekends. I definitely can reccomand this place. Only thing to improve it would be a better selection of grilled items. One of the cleanest places we have ever been to as far as the other "boats. More of a variety of food than the others too. The waiter, Angel was an ANGEL and treated us like family.
