MY REVIEW: With high hopes for authentic Persian food we went to Bijan restaurant but unfortunately we received embarrassingly bad service. I was offended as an Iranian before my American wife that our order delayed for almost 40 minutes and when the food arrived it was not what we ordered. Agaian with another 30 minute delay our food was brought to our table still it was not what we ordered. The waitress never showed up to refill the iced-tea and finally our food was delivered separately plate by plate in interval of 10 to 15 minutes each that we could not dine together and my wife's meal got cold for waiting on my plate. This is a shameful conduct from a prestigeous restaurant and the manager did not even comp the meal or offer any remedy for this situation.

MY REVIEW: Honest opinion I have been dining at all Persian restaurants since 1976 Bijan has been the last one and I don't think I will go anywhere else food is great atmosphere is fantastic specially if you sit out side in the patio price is very reasonable ,,,only one thing ..they need some good speakers and nice Persian music to add to the ambiance

MY REVIEW: Owner is very nice, and so is the waitress that we always get. LOVE the gormeh sabzi and tadeek, beef kabob is great too. The way things are run are a little weird, like how you go order first and have the food brought to you and everything, but I definitely like it. I have had some ppl say it's not very Persian, but I think it's fine.

MY REVIEW: The food was not good . it had more of a pakistani flavor then persian flavor. And its not worth the amount they charge . The restaurant was very uncomfortable to eat in . I asked the person at the front counter if he could lower the temp he told me its hot outside as i walked back to my table the thermastat read 83 . I will never return to this particular restaurant . The idea of ordering at the counter and waiting for your food is very unappealing to me . Especially when you are sweating and waiting for food .

MY REVIEW: I love that this restaurant is very clean. You have to order at the counter, but they always help you with your tray and will bring your food. I think this restaurant changed owners and the food is just perfect and juicy. Just ask how you like your meat, so you are not surprised. All the dishes are great and they give you free cheese and tea. I love the ambiance!!!

MY REVIEW: I ordered the beef kabob and was disappointed by the small portion of beef as well as its toughness. The rice had a seasoning that I did not care for but there was lot's of it. Good prices and excellant hot tea.

MY REVIEW: Beef kabob was delicious!Juicy and yummy.I had a mixed plate of ground and whole. The other person I was with had the chicken which looked really good but I did not care for the herb that it was seasoned with.Comes with a piece of persian bread. It would have been nice to have some radish and parsley on the side but, regardless it was really tasty.Restaurant was clean, great value, and no tip since you order from the counter.I recommend.

MY REVIEW: Awesome, Awesome, Awesome.... Loved the Hummus, the Persian tea, plus the patrons were extremely friendly, courteous, and you can't beat the great service too. Will be back and I highly recommend the Beef Koubideh.

MY REVIEW: Wow, this place is clean, the food is great and inexpensive. Believe me, persian food isn't the best for you wallet, but feeding two was under $20.
The Hooka also is a plus, I chose strawberry. The only drawback is that the traffic outside is chaotic, oh wait, it's houston. I suggest this spot to all of my friends now. Nice persian decor too.

MY REVIEW: Restaurant was exceptionally clean. Owner seemed to be in a perpetual bad mood, but food was excellent. Skewered whole chicken, served with rice & bread, a side of hummus, and ice cream dessert will be enough to feed two for approximately 12 dollars! The chicken was grilled to perfection, and moist. The hummus was creamy and flavorful, and the ice cream tasted of fresh roses and pistachios. A feast for cheap!

MY REVIEW: To echo the previous reviewer's sentiments; Bijan is a brand new looking restaurant in the Hillcroft ethnic dining area. It was very new looking, clean dining room, kitchen, and lavatories. There are many choices on the menu, with items pictured and numbered for those unfamiliar with persian cuisine. Entrees I tried came well prepared, flavorful, and hot. Beef and chicken dishes are grilled over an open flame on a skewer, served with rice and bread, similar to the naan bread found in Indian cooking. Patrons seemed split between persian and american, so I felt better thinking 'locals' knew about. Entrees could be converted to vegetarian on request, and Atkins-type meals (sans bread or rice) were also offered. I skipped dessert, but had a flavourful serving of persian tea. Great value for $; I'll be back.

MY REVIEW: Great value. Loved the Aush-reshteh, a delicious soup made of noodles, garbanzo and kidney beans and a soft, white cheese called kashk. Our appetizers were both great. Kashk-e-Bademjan is an warm appetizer made of eggplant and yoghurt topped with ground cooked garlic. The other appetizer, Kotlet, looked like felafel but was better than any felafel I've ever had. It is made of ground beef and peas. Moist, fresh and delicious. Our chicken and beef kabobs (with sumac) were fresh and tasty. The decor is chic self-serve. The kitchen is visible behind the cashier and the facilities were very clean. The patrons are an interesting, sophisticated, international mix. The desserts were OK but nothing special.
