MY REVIEW: My gf and I happened upon Crickets Creamery one Saturday morning and have been back several times since then for breakfast. I absolutely love being waited on by John, the owner. You want avocados and tomatoes with your eggs? No problem. Fresh fruit? No problem. You want ANYTHING off menu, no problem. If they have it, so can you.
This is the type of service you'd expect in the Heights.
My favorite "added extra" is the fresh water John puts out on the patio for our dog. Great food, great atmosphere and pet friendly.
I absolutely love this place!!!

MY REVIEW: I just went to Crickets today. My friend raves about its delicious vegetarian dishes...while I am a healthy eater, Ive found it very hard to find "delicious vegetarian" food. Until today.
I ordered this great mozzarella and tomato sandwich on sourdough. It came with a great sauce (spicy tomato) that I loved. I am definitely a "sauce girl" and needed more. I assumed that when I went up to ask for an extra side of sauce I would be asked to drop 50 cents as most places do. They acted like it was ridiculous to even think so, and gave it to me quickly and with a smile. I also loooveddd, looovved, loooovvved the fresh apricot tea.
I had a very nice time and would recommend it to almost anyone. I say almost, because of people like my husband. Everyone has a different palate, and a fresh/meatless sandwich and iced tea inst exactly HIS cup of tea. So if your looking for some grease or carbs...this isnt the place!!

MY REVIEW: Owner operated using high school kids to staff. Look, it is run like a typical height's small biz. If you don't have time to wait, and you can't resolve any questions or issues you have at the counter, then maybe you just don't fit in. Cricket's is a great heights hang out for people with true height's mentality.

MY REVIEW: we just biked over to Crickets for quick sandwiches....30 minutes later, still no sandwiches. It should never take so long for a pair of cold sandwiches. My husband's egg sandwich had less than one egg on it. My "avocado supreme" was thin on the veggies and so heavy with dressing that it all slid out immediately. We are Heights residents and will not return. Children were helping in the kitchen, so maybe staff and skills had the day off.

MY REVIEW: This is a gem in the Heights! They have an excellent vegetable soup and tasty coffee, and best of all the menu is vegetarian. The atmosphere is great, very retro with antique furniture. They have a cool little area with glass tables over by the front windows. It's a nice spot to have breakfast or lunch, with a great view of 19th St. I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend it!

MY REVIEW: We love this place, and almost never miss our weekend walks to Crickets for fabulous gourmet icecream, pastries, and coffee. Very kid friendly. The owners are great and make us feel right at home. The Heights needed an old fashioned ice cream parlor like this.
