OWNER RESPONSE: We're not closed! The Kempwood location has reopened and I'm the new owner. We're breaking some improvements and focusing on timing and quality. Please give us a try!

MY REVIEW: Wow. I don't know what happened last night at Mytiburger, but my experience was just plain wrong. After our order was called in (2 double meat, one with cheese, one without, fries and tots) I waited 15 minutes and went to get the food. The food was not ready. No problem. BUT when the food arrived, the cashier took my card swiped it and went to take a phone order leaving me looking at the signature receipt still on the printer. While waiting to sign the receipt, I munched on some of the fries....they were just warm, not hot. Same with the tots. Well, I figured that they may have cooled waiting on the burgers to cook. Not a huge deal since we came for the burgers. So, I tired of waiting and just took the receipt off the machine myself. I now settle in with my food only to discover that my burger wasn't hot either. Wondering why the food wasn't ready, when it clearly wasn't hot, I took a bite out of my wife's burger and it was hot and fresh! This leads me to believe that my burger was not cooked to order nor were the fries or tots. The total cost was just over $21.00
As we have been occasional customers for the past nine years, we know that the food here is decent. Not great, but decent. My experience last night went beyond the pale. It is doubtful that we will return.

MY REVIEW: used to live in Spring Branch from '77 to '88. didnt appreciate it then but now that I have moved to west Houston, I come back about once a month.
Just read that Kempwood location changed owners. it tasted a little bit different today but I thought it was just me. hmmmm, makes me think..... I will probably go again just to see if the lower quality is there to stay.
but its a good juciy burger, the fries are always hot and taste freshly fried. have never tried the fish or steak fingers nor chicken fingers. there was nothing listed under desserts on the menu.... havent tried the breakfast either.

MY REVIEW: I'm 38 now and Mytiburger has been part of my life since I can remember. Growing up my 3 older brothers all took turns working there. The food was always awesome, and the people even better. However, with the change of ownership came cheaper meat (5 bones in one burger?!)and it's just not good any more. It's as if i visited the house where i grew up and found out it had been turned into a stop n go. Goodbye old friend.

MY REVIEW: Had my first Mytiburger from this location in 1977, and have been dining there ever since! Even with the recent changes in ownership, Mytiburger is worth the trip! The only thing I'd change is for them to bring back the chocolate cream pie!

MY REVIEW: Great Place. Love the low calorie buffalo burger, which is a nice size. Sweet potato fries are awesome. Kathy's coke blended with ice cream is awesome be sure to ask Kathy for it as it is not listed on the menu. Chicken basket has more chicken in it than any chicken basket in town. The white cream gravy with the chicken basket is awesome as is the Texas Toast.
The decor is Coca Cola memorablia. Pure vintage 1950's.
The owner is a real gem. She stayed open til midnigt before our hurricane to feed law enforcement and then opened the next day. It was the only place that had electricity and boy was a warm meal just great. What a great neighborhood business. Support it.

MY REVIEW: Kempwood location has changed ownership. Once was the best burger joint in town. New owners are cutting corners for more profit. Using cheeper products and trying to pass it off as the same. Does not have the lunch crowd it once had. Another memory of Houston past has fallen. I will never eat there again.

MY REVIEW: This is been a local favorite of mine for 30 plus years! Every Satruday my kids had to have a malt, onion rings and cheeseburger.. nothing has changed expect the kids are grown men and still have to have a MYTIBURGER! We have all moved to different area of town but meet up monthly for our trek into the wonder years!
This is a great place for good food, nothing fancy and very reasonable priced.. breakfast, great coffee and food cooked after you order.. not food that has not been sitting under a heat lamp! These gems from the past are hard to come by but well worth the trip! Remember the old days when you parked your car and had to actually go in to get your burger..NO DRIVE WINDOW here!
A great Bang for the buck in these times!

MY REVIEW: Good burger, great sweet potatoe fries and great malt. Prices were good. Everyone behind the counter was friendly. Has a small town burger joint feel. I'll definitely go back.

MY REVIEW: It's not a place to sit and have a quiet dinner. It's a place to have a quick dinner or to get something to go. The shakes and malts are wonderful and the onion rings are fantastic. A little know fact - the black coffee is actually pretty darn good, too! It's not a corporate burger place; it's a low-key neighborhood joint. I thoroughly enjoyed Mytiburger!

MY REVIEW: Been coming to Mytiburger seems like forever (I'm 57 and my folks & I came when I was a little kid and it was called M*iller's). I consider myself a burgerologist, had hamburgers all over the US and other countries and vote Kathy's Mytiburger one of the ultimate best burgers on the planet. The burgers are juicy and tasty, like homemade, and the fries are REAL, not frozen, and done just right.
The whiners who were dissatified with their meals probably wouldn't be happy anywhere. I moved pretty far away but drive about 100 miles couple of times a month just for the food. For the folks around my age, this wonderful place is reminiscent of the 50's diners, and for the younger set it just plain has great food for good prices. I highly recommend it to one and all.

MY REVIEW: Mytiburger is a great neighborhood hamburger joint. I like their freshly made burgers (they are not snobby gourmet burgers) and love the Texas Toothpicks. I moved out of the neighborhood recently and I really miss being close by. BTW my wife loves their fish sandwich too.
