MY REVIEW: Best Wonton soup in Houston, hands down. Prices are very reasonable. I normally get the Mongolian beef or the Schezwan beef and it has always been hot and fresh. Above average for Chinese fast food, but nothing to write home about. Don't forgot to get the wonton soup, it is why I go here. The hot and sour soup is just so so.

On the negative side service is very slow. They only have one waiter. Hard to get refills. Avoid the fried chicken wing...gross. Also the lady who works the register is less than friendly.

MY REVIEW: I am visiting Houston. My beef was very tender and the food was tasty. I really enjoyed the food. The service is mom and pop small restaurant type. We were the only ones in there so it wasn't bad.

MY REVIEW: The food was really good but very oily. They advertise that it's healthy but not really. I will say that the hot and sour is too die for. It is the best hot and sour soup ever. I think that it is b/c it has a lot of oil. I would go back, but not when I want to eat healthy.

MY REVIEW: The food is pretty good for the price, my favorites are the hunan chicken and the kung pao chicken. My only problem is the service. We got our check before the food, and our food before our drinks. I didn't leave a tip and the waiter pointed it out to me and demanded I tip him. He was pretty rude about it too. I think I will just do take out next time.

MY REVIEW: I was expecting more of fresh food. I ordered the shrimp fried rice lunch special. I thought the rice was "gummy" and greasy. I thought I was at Timmy C*han. The strong point is the menu is cheap. I would have been more upset if the food was more expensive. I don't recommend this restaurant. I will not be going back.

MY REVIEW: I have dined-in and, living in the Medical Center, taken out from Jimmy Wok's. First visit was dine-in and I was suitably impressed with the cold spring rolls, the hot and sour soup was excellent, but my friend's dish, which was supposed to have a nice garlic sauce, was sweet.

I ordered takeout not long afterward and the food was good. The pho, although, looked as though everything had been thrown together and dumped into a takeout tray (noodles were clumped and cold, etc.)

Last night, I ordered takeout...big mistake! The cold spring rolls were poorly wrapped and filled with pork and vermicelli with a shrimp stuffed into each end; not at all like the first time! My Szechuan Shrimp and Chicken was cold and tasteless, my roomate's pho was so spicy it couldn't be eaten, the ingredients were poor (the basil was fresh but mostly stalks) and my daughter's sweet and sour chicken was, as we termed it "chicken jerky!"

I would rate this restaurant as INCONSISTENT. Sad, too, because there aren't a lot of good chinese restaurants so close to home with a good menu.

MY REVIEW: Jimmy Wok is a good place for fast and convenient food - the pho and spring rolls have been consistently good vietnamese fare, and the traditional fried egg rolls are great. Favorite dishes have been the singapore noodles and the curry chicken.

MY REVIEW: I went at lunch on a weekday with a group of co-workers.

THE GOOD:
1. Cheap prices, especially from the lunch menu.
2. A wide variety of choices on the menu (even the lunch menu)

THE NOT-SO-GOOD:
1. It's a rather small place, and can get crowded during the peak lunch hours.
2. There is only ONE waiter for the whole place, and although he does try hard, it causes service to be spotty (at best).

Overall, I liked my visit there, and would probably go back. However, I'll try to avoid going during peak times.

MY REVIEW: Nice, small place. I had a waitress who was very prompt and helpful, though quiet and not one to smile much. I had the mixed special lo-mein which was very affordable at around 6$ and much larger than I could eat. It tasted great, though for some it might be on the slightly greasy side, but hey, I'm a college student, I live for that.

I highly recommend it so far.

MY REVIEW: I love Jimmy Wok. The prices are great and the food is prepared fast. The waiter (there's only one) is friendly and quick. The woman who answers the phone is not very friendly but I can overlook that. The fried crab rangoons are the best I've ever had. I love their sesame chicken and their eggrolls too.

MY REVIEW: Good food, and it's cheap. Service sucks, though. The waiter (always the same guy) ignores customers, even if we're waving our hands in the air. Your drink glass, if empty, will remain empty until he brings back your credit card. I even tip well, and still no improvement in his service. However, the food is great. I recommend using this place as a take-out or delivery option only.

MY REVIEW: We love this place. I am a picky eater and the staff at Jimmy Wok will make my food exactly how I like it. The staff is friendly. It's a great place for casual, inexpensive Americanized Chinese food.

MY REVIEW: I know it was my first experience and I should probably give it another go but I was not impressed with this cuisine at all. We had the chicken lo mein and it virtually had no flavor. My fiance had the roast pork with vermecilli and egg roll dish, the meat was basically just fat and she couldn't even finish it. The white rice was even bad if that's possible. I tried putting soy sauce on it and that couldn't even save it. The staff is very friendly but the food leaves little to be desired.
