MY REVIEW: I like the 'soul food'there, especially the salmon croquets that are served on Thursdays...however, the hamburger basket (fries) is the best kept secret on that side of town, lol :)! It is sooo good and quite economical...I think I paid less than $3.50...the lettuce and tomatoes were very fresh...go try it!

MY REVIEW: Skillet-fried Chicken! I've been looking all over town for it and Early's does it for their steam table lunch starting at 11 Tuesday and Wednesday and it's good. The soul food sides can also be very good. Other entrees I've seen like smothered pork chops and oxtails have looked good but so far I've just had the fried chicken. Baked chicken is on the table on Thursday. You can get chicken wings any day (they're closed Monday) but they're deep fried, not skillet fried.

Small place, friendly people. Most people seem to get their food to go. Haven't tried the cakes yet but they look good.

MY REVIEW: Early's Grill is a family owned business with great food. There seafood is a specialty from the old JAY'S Restaurant on Calvacade. Early is the cook and his mother is the baker. His sister's will great you and his kids might join in also. When you are in the neighborhood and looking for some good soul food or seafood this is your place!

MY REVIEW: This place has a great home cooked steam table with a variety of meats and veggies. Stumbbled across Early's during the last flooding here in Houston. Early himself is the cook and a great one that. Desserts are all homemade and fresh.
